Make sure you check the expiration dates on food products. I purchased a box of cereal tonight and when I went to place it in my pantryI saw that it is over 3 months past the expiration date. I could not believe it wasn't removed.

There were only 2 women working when I went in but they were both pleasant. The store however, is a mess. The aisles were cluttered; one had a frame and so much junk in it that I literally couldn’t go down it.From experience, FD is setting this store up for failure. I’m willing to bet they don’t pay enough so can’t hire anyone and would rather have the store unstocked and closed at odd hours instead of paying a decent amount and being able to hire adequate help. You’d think they’d want to make money but that’s such a silly concept for a retail store, am I right?! 😂🙅🏻‍♂️

Everyone's always friendly and helpful. Not just telling you where to find something, they walk you to it and point out the different brands and prices. I love that!

The only day to be able to shop on Saturday is the only day where there is a very friendly young man. today tuesday i went and omg the woman person who is charging is so arrogant racist and did not want to accept my coupons from my app we definitely need new staff for this store

I seriously don’t understand why this store is never opened when it’s supposed to be. This is the third time I went to the store around 11am and the doors were locked! Please update your hours of operation. Other than that, I’m usually able to find everything I need when I visit this store.

The Family Dollar near me is very convenient as it's in walking distance if I need something quick. It has great selection of seasonal things, as well as home goods, and cleaning supplies. Only complaint is its often very cluttered and unorganized. I was there yesterday and only one person working there ( believe her name was Amy) I felt so bad for her trying to check out all the customers, and other store work, and not being able to take a break or get air.

Associates we're not understanding of medical conditions of not being able to mask one of. The associates threatened to fight me outside called me rude an disrespectful for voicing that they can't sent service for medical conditions then got banned for supposively spitting on them. Associates then said they were going to offer me a mask but didn't because I was "rude and disrespectful" when all that should have been done in the first place was the offer of a mask. Family members went in store at a later date and one of the employees didn't have a mask on at all and the lines were long because only one of two associates was on register and the one who wasn't saw how long the lines were and didn't hop on a register. Sorry but I've been going to the store since they opened and never had a problem till now because of a medical condition.

This store has some of the rudest people Ever. No wonder they are closed half the time. Some of the guys are extremely rude. Simply asked if they were closed and got a really rude attitude from a male worker. Im probably going to stop going here soon

The items here are a bit pricey, but they do have a decent selection. However, it is somewhat difficult to find certain items, and it's hard to find a staff member to assist you. I've only been here a few times, but the attending cashiers that waited on me were nice & respectful.

The store was a complete and total disaster. I couldn't fit my elderly and disabled aunts wheelchair down any and I mean any of the aisles. I spent more time pushing items. Trash and products out of my way then I did shopping. I asked them to double bag my our merchandise and they refused to because they said they could get fired! Worse experience ever!

Everytime you go to store anymore its closed early. Website does not reflect changing hours. Once a convenient spot on way home now frustrating and super inconvenient save your time and just go elsewhere.

After calling to see if they did propane and was told they did... I went to the store and not 1 employee knew how to do it! They were more interested with talking to their friends. It's sad that corporations accept such a low standard of people as associates!

Friendly employees, but in all honesty NOT what the area needed, a true grocery store (save-a-lot or rosenberry's) or even just a true "dollar" store (dollar tree or dollar zone) would've been a lot more beneficial. A good portion of the food available is overpriced like a convenience store. I purchsed 2 pairs of PJ pants from them as gifts, one pair (official Betty Boop) was split down the leg seam in several places, which I didn't notice until the person had already received the item.The price placement is chaotic, as another reviewer stated. I've found it necessary to price check items on several occasions.There is a constant flow of people in store for the sole purpose of buying cigarettes, which is fine and well, but these customers feel like they exempt from state and federal laws requiring them to show ID... Followed by swearing, arguing and "adult" tantrums, resulting in an overall unpleasant atmosphere with an unnecessary, inconvenient and throroughly annoying delay at the register. Yes, I've experienced this scenario 3+ times and I've heard similar from friends and family.Just FYI: Things they DO NOT have in stock: pepperoni slices, cream soda, sausage rolls, tostito chips, minced garlic.

i Asked one of the workers to check me out when I was done she rudely told me to go ring the bell instead of coming to the front to help me. I went and rang the bell waited at least 5 minutes and no one came so I left my items on the counter and went to another store. Would not recommend this store.

Every time I go in there the store is a mess. Shelves are not organized so I don't know what price goes to what. The one area that seems to be organized and clean is the food area other then that the store is disgusting and the workers seem like they hate working there.

This guy who works there named mike asked for my number. He follows me around the store everytime i go there. He gave my number to one of his co workers. He keeps texting me saying that i want him then complaining about his girlfriend. If i wanted him i would have had him by now. If he texts me one more time theres gonna be a problem. Its one am. I want to sleep. Whoever hired this guy should be fired. If he texts me again i swear im gonna sue family dollar. Someone better fix this. Now. My grandfather is a cop. Im not dealing with this.Update. Im still receiving texts. Someone better handle this . asap

What a messy messy messy place never seen a store like that every aisle had a ton of things on floor only 3 in store when I was there I counted 27 sandles on floor and about 20 pieces clothes in next aisle Landry soap 8 or 9 on floor paper towels 4 or 5 next aisle rugs and frames on floor cereal boxes and cans of food on floor carts in different aisles half full of different things can't say I will be back look up not safe for old people and the outside looked like tornado went to the dump and dropped there if I would say i it is not a 1 star it's - - - star wish I had phone to take pictures🔎🔎🎁📷🎥💳💸🔍🔍someone should take charge before someone gets hurt👲 🚔🚓🚒🚑👮

Pottatowns, PAs Family Dollar is the untidiest, disorganized store I have ever shopped at. Kids are always running through the store. The cashiers are always playing loud music, hanging with their friends, or talking on their phones. If I didnt live next to it, I wouldn't shop there.

I went there a couple times and Everytime I go there I feel they look at me funny and today I went to use coupons and they were treating me like I was doing something wrong. Def not impressed.
