Done an excellent job to get our little buddy Kyle back to us with-in 24hrs of his passing. They were very compassionate and the urn and paw print were beautiful. They even took the time to send us a few clippings of his hair (which we never thought of) to place in his memorial box which will be with us forever. Thank you.

I've worked with P.A.L.S. on two occasions. Both times, they took care of details, left me no burden, had reasonable prices, and even picked up and delivered my pets before and after cremation with a fast turnaround time. They are kind, sympathetic, sincere, and go out of their way to help you. P.A.L.S. makes a difficult situation much easier. Highly recommend.

PALS is absolutely the best to work with after such a loss. They are extremely compassionate people. They not only picked up our cat but they had his ashes back to us in 24 hours. We lost our three month old puppy to Parvo and Dawn and her daughter were amazing and compassionate in our horrible time of loss. When I called, I was semi-hysterical and Dawn calmed me down, talked me through all of my options and told me they could come the same day to pick up poor little Minnie.Dawn's daughter came within the hour and was kind and soft-spoken, taking charge and gently picking up our baby for cremation.Although we chose not to have Minnie's ashes returned, I did ask about a paw print. Dawn told me that they would have to charge me for a return trip to Johnstown, so I declined, being as I already had hundreds of dollars invested at that point.Imagine how wonderful it was to open my invoice and see that she had enclosed Minnie's paw prints and a Rainbow Bridge marker. I didn't realize how much I wanted them until I was holding them in my hands.We have never had a pet pass at home before and we were referred by a friend, it was the best possible experience we could have had under the circumstances.Everything was economically priced and taken care of quickly.Forever grateful for the kindness of strangers. ❤️

I cannot say thank you to PALS/Dawn enough for how kindly they treated me in a sensitive time. They were able to meet me the day I called, gave me a few options (I could have dropped my pet off at my vet for pick up or drive out myself). Dawn was very patient, soft spoken, and understanding while I tried to make arrangements through incoherent sobbing. She did not pressure me at all to get a more expensive urn and in fact assured me I did not need to make that decision now and could reconsider later. I feel often in this industry people are eager to use your grief for their own monetary gain, but Dawn did not. The service was very reasonably priced.Additionally, Dawn went above and beyond for us and dropped my pet off at my house. I dropped Butterball’s remains off on a Friday and explained that I would be out of town for work the following week and my significant other would be training for a new job with no flexibility in his schedule. She assured me we’d be able to make some arrangements. I planned to contact Dawn when my plane landed in Pittsburgh today, but when my phone came back online, I received a text from my SO letting me know Dawn was able to drop our pet off. I was fully prepared to add another hour to my travels to bring butterball home today, and Dawn saved me the trouble after an already long day of traveling. I cannot recommend PALS enough. Thank you so much Dawn!

This business is affiliated with the veterinary office whereby my sweet dog had passed. They were very kind and compassionate in how they spoke with us and very respectful of our feelings during our grieving for our pet. The urn that they presented with his remains is lovely and will be a cherished reminder of our furry friend.

Our friend DD passed away at home on a Sunday and PALS answered our call and met with us within 30 minutes to help with arrangements. Diesel, our best friend for 14 years, had to go to the rainbow bridge on Wednesday April 20th. He was picked up at the vet's office and Dawn called me to let me know that she had picked him up and explained what would be happening to my boy. She had him back to us within 24 hours. We received his ashes along with a paw-print. We miss him terribly bad but so happy that he is home with us again. Such a caring and compassionate business.

Hank, the best boy in the world, had to go to the rainbow bridge on Monday. He was picked up at the vet's office. Dawn called me to let me know that she had picked him up and explained what would be happening to my boy. She had him back to me within 24 hours. I received my sweet boy's ashes along with a pawprint and a lock of his fur. I was so happy to receive the small packet of his fur. I miss him terribly bad but I'm so happy that he is home with me again. Such a caring business.

About one year ago , my dog , companion , and hiking partner ... went out on the first hike of the spring . Dewey lagged behind a bit and i ended up carrying him the last section of the hike . This was his way of signaling to me that he was slowing down after nearly 10 years of activity and by Christmas he was even more reduced . Eventually in early March of 2021 he was in peril resulting in his death . After endless tears and inconsolable grief i realized that i needed to get him cremated and looked to a friend for advice . She suggested Pets After Life Services in Portage ,Pa. Other than my accepting care of Dewey 10 years ago , this was the best decision of my recent life . I spoke with Dawn on the phone at 9:00 am , Dewey has passed around 4:00 am that same morning and had him in their care by 10:00 am . I then was able to pick up his remains by 12:00 the next day . Having been very overprotective of that little dog it was somehow very comforting to hand him over to Dawn . She is the perfect person for this job and made all my cremation decisions easy to understand . The prices are extremely reasonable . Besides an urn , you get some extra presentable documents. Having chosen to get him cremated individually with the options being fairly extensive i was very satisfied . Let me say this ... if you have lost a pet and want to bypass all the traps at a time like this and avoid the feeling of being taken while being grief stricken ... talk to Dawn at Pets After Life Services in Portage ,Pa . Having Dewey back home with me has made an immeasurable difference in my grief healing and you will feel so much better knowing your pet was treated with respect . Peace of mind is worth everything !!!

When my stepdaughter lost her childhood pet. Pets Afterlife came to the house picked her dog up and delivered him in a very nice urn, along with a certificate and a rainbow bridge card. They care caring and compassionate. Dawn was so nice and kept asking if we were ok and if there was anything else we needed. I hope to not have to use a pet cremation service for a long time but when I do, I will call them.🐾❤️ Pets will leave a forever paw print in your heart

Lost my beloved cat of 7 years this recent Friday due to a tragic accident. Today he arrived at my house and I couldn't believe how beautiful the urn was.I will miss my baby every second of every day and having his urn next to me when I wake up every morning reminds me he'll always be with me. I recommend this place to anyone who wishes to get their beloved pet cremated to hold close to you forever. This is the third time using this company- through my vets office. I can’t say enough good things. We’ve always been treated with nothing but compassion and respect. I am at ease knowing my babies are treated respectfully at the end. When you talk to them on the phone, you can feel the warmth though the phone. Recently had to put our dog to sleep and PALS picked her up that day from the vet and had her ashes back for pickup the very next day. They put her in a nice urn that will display respectfully. We used their services in the past for a dog but did not get an urn at that time. I asked if we could get his ashes in an urn and they did so without issue and didn't even charge us. I cannot express how thankful I am for PALS in difficult times like this. Dawn's manner over the phone is extremely compassionate and respectful. When we inevitably need to get another pet cremated I know exactly where I'm going. Thank you again, the work that you guys do means so much to so many people.

I lost my dukers on Monday December 2nd and the lady dawn that answered the phone for p.a.l.s was very compassionate for our familys loss...I would deffenitly recommend this place! And will be using their services in the future! They had my dog cremated an returned to me the very next early afternoon and dawn even brought him to me! I got a beautiful urn and a certificate of individual cremation along with a sympathy card from the staff at pets afterlife services and she also made me a pawprint of my companion! This is our second time dealing with PALS. (unfortunately) First time, our dog Spazzy got hit by a car, and PALS delivered his remains to us within a day or 2, in a beautiful urn, with a Rainbow Bridge poem on a laminated thick card, and a certificate of cremation. Our second dealing with them, just in the last few days, was a bit different. We had a very ill cat that we had to have put to sleep. Forest Hills veterinary has an arrangement with PALS that they pick up euthanized pets there and cremate them and deliver them to the pets owner. It was very fast. We had our baby Princie put to sleep at 5pm Wednesday and someone literally just dropped off her remains a few minutes ago (noon on Friday) and she’s now on our mantle with our Spazzy.

Unfortunately we lost our baby after 11 yrs. He was, my b/f and I's, first fur baby. I still can't believe it.. We called and the price was very reasonable, even though $ was the last thing on our minds. They had very nice erns, and other memorabilia for your loved one. They called the next day which I wasnt expecting, to let us know we could pick up his remains when we're ready. We picked up tysons ern & the woman was very sympathetic for our loss. She was sincere, and that ment alot. The woman also told us to call if there was anything they could do, or if we needed anything. She respectfully handed us our boy, a beautiful poem, & certificate. She talked with us, letting things set in and when ready we paid. I'll never go anywhere else, and I will always recommend them to anyone who requires this service.
