I've been taking my dog here for fourteen years now. I'm grateful for the outstanding level of care that she's received (for both of our sake!) from annual visits to tooth cleaning (requiring anesthesia) to major digestive issues. The vets here have always provided knowledgeable advice and answered all of my questions, and the staff is consistently responsive and helpful. The charges are always extremely reasonable, and I really appreciate the effort and care provided (and peace of mind).

Halfmoon Valley Animal Hospital is excellent. The facility is really nice and clean and all the staff is helpful and friendly. I've been taking my three cats to Dr. Menapace for a few years now. I adore him so much! He is great at what he does and he will listen to you and give you all the options available, even the more extreme ones. He is caring and friendly and easy to talk to. He always sends you home with very detailed instructions and summaries of your visit. I feel like he goes the extra mile in that regard and it's really appreciated. He has expertly diagnosed and treated several health issues in my cats. I am especially grateful for his role in helping my oldest cat live out her last few years with dignity and quality of life in mind. We brought her in yesterday to say goodbye after 19 years. It was so hard, but Dr. Menapace was wonderful and compassionate as was the whole staff present that day. They made the process as easy as something that difficult can be. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

My sweet golden retriever Boland is in excellent hands when it comes to Dr. Miller and Dr. Olson!!! My pup use to see Dr. Miller when he was young and much smaller and Dr. Miller is an exceptional Vet! He is very caring and compassionate towards animals and is top notch! When he was out of the office I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Olson and is exceptional! She truly cares about my dog Boland and is one of the kindest and most compassionate not only vets I’ve ever met aside from Dr. Miller but also you can truly tell she loves animals and her passion for caring for them! I highly recommend Dr. Olson! She treats your pets like they are her own and is empathetic and kind natured! I feel very blessed to have such wonderful Vets for my dog! I will continue to see Dr. Olson and hope she doesn’t ever plan to leave Halfmoon Valley Animal Hospital because my dog Boland and I would be lost without her! Thank you for all you do Dr. Olson!

Veterinary clinic refuses to take on new patients and the excuse they use is “we are short staffed“ however, if you’re telling me that you cannot find qualified individuals to help out in the Zat, then there’s a problem, somebody’s not trying because with the amount of intelligent young college students around here that need side jobs. It should not be any problem to find qualified people to work in that that that is all.

First off- I’ve always had the most wonderful experiences at halfmoon with all the veterinarian’s. Before they expanded, I couldn’t rant and rave about Dr. Miller or Dr. Menapace enough or ever imagine anyone else seeing my babies. I wasn’t warming up to someone new handling their care very quickly, but so thankful I did!! Again like I said all the veterinarian's at Halfmoon are great (all other staff included, everyone is just amazing)!! BUT I can’t help to just love DR. Olson! She has been my saving grace and understands my obsession over my babies. She is absolutely amazing! Has hugged me at my weakest moments, cried when I cried or when she has had to give me news no one wants to hear. She also gets excited to tell me the good news and telling me I can relax and take a breather when she comes out to greet me with stellar results that had me worried sick about. She is genuine and exceeds all expectations. Clearly loves what she does and has a passion for this difficult job. Being a veterinarian is 100 percent her calling. She is a huge blessing and you won’t be disappointed!!

I just recently lost 2 fur babies within a few weeks of each other. I'm still having a rough time with it.The staff is so amazing and very compassionate. They are honest and down to earth. They are truly a blessing. I only wish they had emergency services. The best of the best. Now only if you did horses I would be set. Thank you for everything you do ❣️

These people are awesome. We usually see Dr. Olson (who we love) for our 2 cats. We recently saved a kitten from the woods and scheduled and appointment with Dr. Menepace (spelling?). He was awesome. So personable, answered all of our questions. I've never had a problem with any of their staff. He also gave us a free visit and a free dose of revolution medication for our kitten because he was a rescue. Couldn't say enough good things about them! Only thing that stinks is we did have quite a wait when we got to our appointment but they were very busy and apologetic.

If I could, I would give Half Moon Valley Animal Hospital 10 stars. My husband and I moved to Centre County in 2020. Several neighbors recommended we take our senior dog & cat to HVAH. From our first visit, I could understand why.Dr. Olson’s knowledge & compassion for both animals and their humans is top notch. She explains treatment in a way that is both fact based and experience based. She is an excellent listener and always willing to help guide in decision making.Not only does Dr. Olson’s love for her job shine in all that she does, but the entire staff at HVAH shines as well! Each individual that I have dealt with over the past few months has been kind, courteous and professional.I would HIGHLY recommend this practice!

In my opinion this animal hospital deserves five stars every day. Each member of the staff performs his or her job in a professional and efficient manner while treating you and your pet like family. Dr. Amalia Olsen is an exceptional veterinarian. Our dog Jessie, a Queensland blue heeler, would smile and wag her tail every time she visited Dr. Olsen. A short time ago when Jessie crossed the Rainbow Bridge Amalia hugged me and cried with me and she carried Jessie from our car into the vet hospital, and would not let a technician carry my dog. Dr. Olsen understood how much we loved Jessie, how great our bond was, and Amalia respected that and showed me immense caring, concern, compassion.

The best place in the area to take your pets to. We've been using their services for about 7 years now and have had nothing but impeccable service. Unlike other veterinarians we've used in the past, both the veterinarians and the staff really care about the animal as well as the owner. As an added bonus, their prices are excellent and they don't push unnecessary treatments or supplies. They truly care about their patients and their owners. My dogs & I just love Dr. Menapace and his staff...they are so kind and caring.When we had to put 1 of our fur boys down...they were great...right as soon as we got there, they took us right into a room with a comforter already laid out on the floor, they shook my husband's hand and gave him their condolences...they all hugged me when it was over!Our other fur boy had to have 2 surgeries for cancer, they kept me informed of everything and called to let me know how he was doing right after each surgery. I'm so happy I found them! :)

We took our puppy there today for his 1st visit. The staff were very sweet and friendly. Doctor olson walked us thru everything they had to do for him and answered all our questions very professional and politely. I will definitely be sticking with them for all my vet services. Would highly recommend them.
