We used to be very loyal to this vet. Until my cat was diagnosed as blocked, given a shot and sent home. I was told all was well, but that was a lie. Cat suffered overnight horribly. Next day would not put down suffering animal until I could get my pay to them. 7 years of multipet loyalty. Gone.Do not recommend. Ever.

I've been taking my pets to this vegetarian for 7 years, and they are amazing! The staff is so friendly, and they truly care about your pet. They are also very understanding that many people have financial struggles, and they never push you to spend more than you have to. They are upfront and honest and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend them, but they do get busy, so expect a long wait. That would be my only complaint.

Sadly I spent most of my day here yesterday between my two dogs. I dropped one dog off for a surgery to come home to an emergency with my other dog and had to bring her in. The staff are just outright amazing in this place. They made sure I understood everything that was going on and answered all of my questions and concerns putting me at ease. The Vet is very knowledgeable and must be kind to the animals because my dog scratches the door and cries to go back with him. At times there was only the secretary and myself there and she made sure that I was comfortable. If I could give ten stars I would

UPDATE- MAX has since passed away. The staff at this vet was so caring. They sent a beautiful card all signed by the staff and added a cute little card that you plant and flowers grow. Will definitely be taking all my pets to them in the future. I really feel like they care about your pet.Brought my bearded dragon there. He was a rescue with MBD. The staff was so nice and friendly. The vet tech we had was so sweet and caring (I didn't get her name) they took such good care of Max. We definitely recommend them. Very professional and prices were decent. They ask you if you are ok with a price before they do anything.

I’ve been a long time customer for over 20 years.Since I’ve been taking my pets there for so many years, I’ve never felt I had to go with another vet.However, after the last two times my experience was terrible!I’ve felt in the last several years it wasn’t about compassion anymore, it became more of a cattle call, just overcharging customers and getting as many people to bring in their pets ,wait at least 45mins and get recommended services that aren’t necessary only for the almighty dollar.NO compassion what so ever.I went a few weeks ago because my dog had a cough which I did receive antibiotic. Doctor wanted me to have unnecessary services such as,Chest X-rays , blood work and a few more things in which my bill would be over $1,000.00I knew my dog only needed medicine not overpriced things that my dog didn’t need.I also was told if I didn’t have services done my dog could have cancer!Why would anyone try and scare you into something your pet doesn’t need only to make more money!!I also asked about a pimple my dog had on his face.He said come another time if it gets bigger.I feel I was getting blown off. It was only a pimple.Called a few days ago and scheduled appt.I went in as a walk in today meaning no charge for doctor to look at a pimple on his face. All I wanted to know is if he needed a topical antibiotic or just an over the counter med.After driving over a half hour, and waiting in my car for 35 minutes to see the vet, someone came out and told me doctor now wanted to charge me and have several tests done.How can someone just assume what your dog needs when I was told it was a walk in and then told now I was going to be chargedAnd he didn’t even look at my dog.So, I left feeling my dog wasn’t important enough to see.All the other vets in our area aren’t taking new customers.Now I will have to drive over an hour and get established somewhere else.I now know I will get better treatment.I won’t consider going back because of the treatment my dog and I have had.It’s really sad when it changes to making money and forgetting why you became a vet.The oath that was taken doesn’t exist any longer and it’s all about the moneyNo compassion for your pets , not respecting their owners, using scare tacticsHow someone can not care anymore, not fulfill the obligation they swore to uphold is beyond meI’m very upsetAll of the techs and receptionist are outstanding employees and they truly care

This is the best animal hospital and clinic I've ever been too, sincerely the best and professional! I brought in my pet rat there, and it's very hard to find vets that take rats or even know about rats. Not only were they kind and compassionate, but the doctor really knew so much about my rats and had a lot of experience! And the whole office and every person I talked to was so sweet to my rat. More than nay place I've been too. Its so so rare to find such nice people, let alone people who know about rats. And when Acorn, my rat passed away, then sent me such a beautiful card. So not only professional, but the kindest and very thoughtful place. Really a great place to go I recommend!!

They always took very good care of my beloved "Tiny". They are the most professional, caring, genuine, compassionate and loving people I know. The prices are reasonable and they work with you. They make sure that your precious animal is well taken care of til the end.I just recently lost my furry son of 14 years and the staff was extremely supportive. They even sent me a beautiful card that gave me the peace I was looking for, being I've been having such a hard time after his death. I recommend this place to anyone. All of the staff and doctor are very friendly and attentive. They always listen to you and I do think they genuinely care about your pets. The wait line IS long, sometimes over an hour but they will take emergency customers if they come in so it’s fair. Overall, always a good experience.

This is the most personal and caring group of people. My puppy ended up passing away. She was not just a number on an invoice, she was so loved by them. It was the best experience it could possibly be for a terrible situation. They cared so much and tried so hard to help her. 100% recommend them.

What lovely people! Dr. Miller is not only clearly very skilled and knowledgeable, he is also kind, warm and patient. I was there almost three hours, and very little of that time was spent waiting. Most of that time, I was doing new patient intake with Kat (one of the excellent support staff), or they were examining/getting images of my dog, or I was talking directly with the doctor about the diagnosis. My outcome was not good, so I am heartbroken, but I am grateful to finally know. This was the fifth doctor I saw about my dog's issue, and Dr. Miller knew immediately upon looking at her what was wrong. An x-ray only confirmed his initial impression.If you are in or near the Pocono Mountains, don't go anywhere else. I have a dog that has had a cough for over a year. I had hope that finally I would get answers. At first, I thought I actually got those answers. Then I finally diagnosed him myself. He had a heart condition. On that note, I stopped going there and started to see Dr. Yaple at Westside Veterinary Hospital in Kingston. The vet techs were great and very helpful, which is why the 2 stars, otherwise it would have been 1 star.

I have been going to Dr Miller for approximately 28 years and I have never ever had a problem with anyone in this office! Dr Miller has been there for me on his off time weekends he is a good man! His staff through the years are very kind and considerate many of them I have known for years. We all have been through some rough times together but they all have been by my side.

Definitely an old school feeling place, but all around great vet. The staff is friendly and loves on any type of animal you bring in. they really do try to help any which way they can with knowledgeable doctors and informative staff.

They will overcharge you for everything, even if your pet doesn't want or need it and I'm not just talking about vaccines. They already killed 2 pets of mine with unnecessary operations and then overcharged me. The owner of that place should be in jail.

Been taking my dog here since we got her 10 years ago. The staff loves her and she loves them right back! I've never had a problem getting an appointment, and, to be perfectly honest, you can't beat their fee. Some of the medications are a little over the top, but that's really not their fault. As my dog gets older I do have to take her there more often than I used to, and I'm grateful that they're there. I highly recommend Pocono Lake Animal Hospital.

Unbelievable disregard for animal safety. I was driving by as the owners 3 unleashed Dobermans ran free, 2 of which ran right into the road forcing me to slam on my breaks to avoid running them over. I tried to polity call to tell them I don't appreciate being put into that situation.. they tried to say they had no idea what I was talking about.. I asked does the owner own 3 Dobermans? There was a few seconds pause and a shameful yes.. I the tried to re-explain.. abruptly then was told to have a nice day an was hung up on...FYI I am reporting this to animal welfare services.

I took my English bulldog to Amy Morris and had a wonderful experience. The staff is so friendly and informative and they are affordable. My dog does not get along with other dogs and they were able to accommodate that. This will defiantly be my regular vet.

I foster and rescue kitties, everything I do is out of pocket, and after moving up here from the city, I didn’t have a regular vet to take my little ones to. Not only are they affordable unlike most vet, you can tell they actually care!I had brought in several cats there over the years, and each one was treated with such gentle love and care 🖤 we also have taken a few kitties that have passed away to get cremated through them and they are so empathetic and comforting too 🖤I’m very grateful for this office 🖤 I’m editing my past review (I had a bad experience with one of the old staff members but the office has only improved since then)

Our 14 yr old rescued male tabby “ Sadie “That’s right Sadie’ , it took 2 years for our old vet to figure out the she was a he. Sadie was having some issues and his old vet didn’t have time to see him, sent us to emergency facility, they gave him antibiotics and pain meds, told us to find a new vet. A friend recommended dr Miller,We got an appointment in 2 days. Sadie’s back to his old self.Calm , responsive staff, very professional, even with such a busy office.

New to the PA area and my pooch was a little under the weather. I telephoned Pocono Lake Animal Hospital at 6am and got an appointment for 9am that day. I don't know about anyone else but that's a plus plus in my book. My overall experience there was great. The office staff was very welcoming, and compassionate. Kudos to Dr. Amy. I've found my new Veterinarian. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The care at this facility has always been top-notch personable and performed well for two animals I have owned and four years of service the office has undergone changes but also truly cares for animals. The only downside to the office is sometimes they get swamped and wait times can get long due to shared number of clients. If you are willing to work with them I have zero concerns about my pets welfare in their care
