Food quality is going downhill. We have loved this pizza for years because it was saucy, cheesy and full of toppings. But, for months now, every time we order for the last several times, there's barely any cheese and very, very little toppings. It is basically sauce on dough. It's sad because we LOVED this shop and supported their business frequently, but going forward, we won't be returning customers due to the lack in quality of their product. There are many other pizza shops that will serve a quality product that I can support. I hope they use this review to fix the issues because I would hate to see the business fail due to losing customers that are displeased with the products being served.

I’ve been eating this pizza for decades—I’m old now—and it’s one of my favorites. I’m a sweet-sauce, thin-crust (except if it’s Giordano’s, the best pizza in Chicago) fan, so that should give you a clue as to what I consider “great pizza.” This is great pizza! I can always count on PU Pizza being delicious (and consistently so) every time.

Pizza's are good but Italian sub barely any meat and cheese and meat were burnt to a crisp. This has happened to many times for me to get the sub. Will go to Twist and Shake for subs. Joyce's subs are delicious.

Everything is awesome super delicious. My last order was perfect. The pizza was delicious. My grilled chicken sub was tasty. The salad was super fresh with lots of meats and cheeses. Very generous portions. The fries and cheese balls were fried to perfection. Zero complaints here. Give them a shot.

This was our second time in less than two weeks I absolutely love their pizza!! It has been dubbed my new favorite place so we will be going there a lot! Love their sauce and cheese and crust. My only wish is if they had a thick chewy crust OMG then it would be absolutely perfect!!!

The server was friendly. I had buffalo hit wings, salad, and lasagna. The wings were crispy and good, but to me hot was more mild. The lasagna was a cheese only with a meetball on the side, the lasagna was really good but I personally didn't like the sauce as much. It was served with a nice size salad and fresh (not toasted or grilled) Italian bread.The food was hot. It gave me the impression it was fresh from the oven. I will definitely order / eat there again. The amount of food per the cost was a nice portion.

The last review I read about this place was so far off that I had to write my own.First, their dough is homemade, I know someone who worked there. Their sauce is too. It's a sweet sauce. Better than most other places with sweeter sauce. Anytime I have ever ordered something delivered, it was on time and my order was always right.I ate in the Dining room with a group of friends and the Waitress was super nice and friendly.The food was AWESOME. This is definitely a place I will recommend to friends from out of town. Love it!

I would've given them 5 stars if they wouldn't have messed up my order the last three times we've been there. I simply order just a stromboli with only cheese, no sauce or meats, just cheese. Yet, somehow, I am constantly getting something with either sauce, or sauce and meats.

Their pizza is always good. This time I really wanted a hot roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. WOW, amazing! From the Italian bread too the real roast and not just deli meat! Great!!!!

This place has wonderful pizza! Also, wonderful staff! I ordered my wife a pizza as a surprise because she had a big accomplishment today. I asked them to write congrats on the box and they did! Several times! It was perfect. Thank you so much!

I was at a friend's house yesterday and we ordered pizza and a salad for delivery. Two hours later the delivery guy shows up with a cold pizza and no salad. Two hours for an incomplete order!?!This place is getting two stars instead of one only because the driver was nice and apologetic. My friend says that this has never happened before and that she has ordered here in the past and the food has been great. I was less than impressed and will not be suggesting getting food here again.

Feel like when new management took over 5 or so years ago, that the place has declined. Changed the sub buns, breaded chicken that I loved as a kid is different on the sub now and not the same. Overall, just not as good as it used to be.

1st time ordering and enjoying two different pies, excellent. Quite impressed that tje pies were hot. Great cheese to sauce ratio. Better crust I had in a long time. Only problem was the crazy belligerent women yelling at the TV during a game. I remember my first beer and pack of Lucky Strikes.

The last time we ordered pizza it was burnt. We ordered pizza again and this time it was almost perfect. So, this is a hit and miss kinda place. When it’s bad, it’s pretty bad, but when it’s good, it’s hard to beat. Because of this, I can’t give more than 3 stars, but it’s better than a one.

When ordering regular pizza, Pleasant Unity Pizza is above average. Beyond that, don’t buy anything there. You will be disappointed greatly. Their specialty pizzas are awful. The Taco Pizza is the worst I ever had. There buffalo pizza, not much better with processed chicken. I ordered peanut butter pie and it too was boxed slices. Not even homemade. Two pizzas, a 2 liter of soda and two pre-packaged pies. With tip $53.00. Really! What a rip off.

Family run for decades..this place is a gem! I would recommend to anyone who hasn't gone or is looking for a new favorite PIZZA Place!If its Pizza you're looking for specifically you won't be disappointed! The dough is made fresh DAILY as well as the sauce which has a slight sweetness to it. Only slightly. NOT Jioios sweet. VERY very mild. All sizes of Pizza are square. They also have a Round New York Style and an amazing selection of Speciality pies like Hawaiian and PeirogiIn addition to Pizza they have Hot and Cold subs as well as Sandwiches! They also offer amazing homemade Dinners and Pasta Specials!The dining room gets packed quick as it is very cozy. You can also have it delivered. Their delivery range is very excellent as well. Love this place

Called in an order for pickup for my mom and I. Was disappointed with the food. Called the manager and talked to him. He said "Okay" then hung up. Drove back to the restaurant and spoke with him and gave him back the food. He just said there was no refunds. I walked out. Never again will I order from there. Just lost two customers.

Staff is always super friendly and despite years of trying I've never been able to recreate that delicious pizza sauce at home! :P Always worth a trip.
