Handel's has the creamiest hard ice cream around. Our favorite ice cream place was closed due to a staffing shortage, so we decided to give this place a try, and we're glad we did.The cinnamon roll and chocolate coffee chip ice creams were extremely delicious. One can have a choice between a regular or waffle cone, and even a waffle bowl!We arrived on a Friday night around 7:20 and had to let others order ahead of us because there were many flavors to choose from, including Spouse Like a House and Pumpkin Ripple.Although it wasn't busy -- perhaps because of the lateness of the season -- there was still a steady stream of people patronizing the place. The servers were quite pleasant and greet you with a smile. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Ok, the ice cream was amazing, I must say. Banana split was perfection 🍨😋😍 but the reason I gave it 4 🌟 instead if 5 is because the place was covered in webs and dead bugs that one literally fell in my icecream 😑 of course I just scooped it out and continued to eat cause it was delicious but please, please power wash your outside 🙏 😖

Very creamy and smooth ice cream tucked on the corner of a shopping plaza. There are a lot of options - including vegan offerings. This was my first time at Handel's and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Love their ice cream. So many unique flavors and many other options. This is majority hard ice cream but it's one of the best in the area

I’m basically a chocoholic but they were out of plain chocolate so I gave a dark chocolate a try w the peanut butter ice cream on top. Mind you, this was a single but they allowed me a half scoop of both flavors. OMG. Amazing! The peanut butter was not overwhelming. It was perfectly delightful.

The creaminess of Handel's ice cream, combined with the unique flavors, make this a top creamery in my opinion. I highly recommend the spouse like a house (pretzel bites with peanut butter swirl) and graham central station (graham cracker base, need I say more?). Only reason they aren't getting five stars is because I wish the staff would follow CDC recommendations and wear a mask inside.

I’ve become totally addicted to their cherry vanilla ice cream. I have tried everything available at any grocery stores, and baskin robbins, and adding cherries to every kind of vanilla ice cream that’s so much easier to get, and no, not even close. I didn’t even finish the bowl of Haagen Dazs. This is the best, creamiest, most absolutely delicious ice cream that I have ever had (and I have had a hell of a lot of ice cream over my life.) I love it!

I happen to own a gourmet milkshake shop of my own so I have a habit of critiquing ice cream😟 this place is AMAZING! My banana split was the best I might have ever had! The ice cream was so creamy and down right delicious! We will be back!

First time here! Won't be the last. I saw them on one of the Saturday morning shows, I believe WNEP 16's Home & backyard where they did a segment. I got their chocolate and peanut butter hurricane which is equivalent to a flurry or blizzard. It was made with chocolate ice cream and was mixed with peanut butter cups. This ice cream was thick and creamy. This was delicious! Recommend all to try! Until next time, be blessed and stay safe!

Trash owner was ignorant talking it's their policies not to mix flavors🤣🤣🤣. After serving an ungodly amount of two flavors of ice cream falling off the cone! Couldn't eat it... After I asked multiple times for 2 very small scoops. The window had squished bugs all over it. Eww gross. The ice cream my daughter got wasn't anything to brag about either... Ewww gross 🤷

I had my first experience at Handel's Home Made Ice Cream & let me tell you that you gotta get on over here. I was blown away by the exceptional menu choices.I wish there was a Wilkes-Barre location. I will be back for sure!😁

Great place. Lots of choices to choose from. I had the Apple Dumpling with Vanilla Ice Cream and caramel drizzle. Delicious! My husband had pumpkin ice cream. All soo good. Highly Recommend 👍😁

One word can describe Handel's Ice cream and that word is "dangerous" and especially dangerous for people on diets, the Ice cream is handmade and you can tell as each bite is a creamy delight that excites the taste buds and makes you crave more.This place has been in operation since the 1940s so clearly, they are doing something right.

Went for pumpkin ice cream, but staff said owner had been too busy to make more. Pistachio was great, but not the pumpkin we were looking for!
