I drove quite a distance being from Jersey to visit a friend who lives in the area. I was informed prior that I could trade in fish. I was tired of keeping bettas because I found them limiting my growth as an aquatic hobbyist plus all of the stuff I had experienced related to them. I am very fortunate that I was able to receive the services and fish I wanted. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about various species to care for. I am also very pleased to see the level of care and cleanliness that goes into their animals compared to other stores (that may or may not be franchised). If you live in the area and are interested in getting a pet, THIS STORE IS A MUST!!!!!!!

Barely any food selection, decent pet section, HOWEVER, not the people nor their attitudes. I went in with my puppy, made sure he peed before entering but because he's a PUPPY, he tried to mark territory inside their glorious store. Rather than letting me know and offering a moment to clean it, they yelled at me and told me he's peeing all over the place and I need to leave. I didn't even have a chance to buy what I wanted, which was dust covered and overpriced anyway. Now when I see the female owner out in the area she gives me dirty looks like a weirdo. Anytime I go to pet supplies plus I see dogs having accidents all the time and they politely have paper towels and bags in place for these just in case moments. Will never go to that nasty store again!!!

They were very knowledgeable very helpful when I asked about their rats He asked me obviously if I wanted it for a feeder or a pet and I told him I was interested in it as a pet He said no He told me straight up the truth that his were for feeding They didn't have the temperament for being a pet. He did let me know that he had some breeders that bred their rats for pets and he would be more than happy to let me know when you know they came in however, they come in on a not scheduled timely manner of course and he was more than happy to take my name and number to give me a call when the babies that came in from the breeders for pets not food were available. I was very impressed with that Thank you, Kathy 😊🌹🐾🐀

Just went in here for the first time today and it was the best experience I’ve had in a pet store! I didn’t catch all the names of who I interacted with but I spent a good amount of time chatting with Ken about ball pythons. He was so nice, non judgmental and knowledgeable! He answered so many questions and was very encouraging. This mom and pop pet store beats every other big box store and competition. They are also the only place around me where I can get the appropriate prey size for my snake. They breed them in store also which means they’re more fresh and come direct from the breeding source. In addition to all this wonderful stuff they also have the biggest variety of accessories across the board! They also specialize in custom pvc enclosures and have some used enclosures for sale for fair prices. I will absolutely support this small business going forward and you should too!

I really like this place for their variety of fish and other animals that they have. Was a little upset to see they do live feedings for the snakes though. Last time I went I saw a fish with ich so if you get fish from here you should quarantine them before adding them to your tank. The employees are always really helpful and knowledgeable about the animals they sell. Some prices are good and others are really expensive. Like they had albino bristlenose plecos for $35!!! I got mine for $7. Here is a picture of the ich I saw last I was there.

We love this pet store due to its great selection of supplies, with reasonable prices! The vast amount of critters and both freshwater and saltwater aquarium fish available are a great bonus. There are also several extra-large tanks set up with some amazing fish to watch. Staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we have had.

On October 13th, 2021, I came to this store to buy my first bird, and the experience was an absolute treat. Unlike other big-box stores in the area, I assume this locally owned pet shop gets their birds from reputable, quality breeders. No birds in the shop showed signs of inbreeding or genetic defects, unlike stores like Petco or Petsmart. My bird, Baby, has been a loveable, fantastic bird that has become a cherished and loved member of our family. Come here to get healthy, happy animals while also supporting small businesses!

First time visit. I highly recommend visiting this store if your into reptiles, tropical fish, and or salt water fish. Store is off the beaten. Path but worth the trip. They had I nice selection of salt water fish and corals which you don't see at store anymore. Definitely a huge selection of reptiles kids loved seeing it. Plus fully stocked dry goods with competitive prices for all other types of pets. Will return

A great family owned business. Beautiful selection of reptiles, aquatic animals/fish, arachnids, amphibians and supplies. I love coming here to look at all the beautiful animals (and buy when I have the space and time). Reasonable prices, higher quality than that of a Petco or Petsmart. Owner knows where his animals come from and whom they were hatched/bred by. Very trustworthy store!

I’m not a person that generally leaves a review but if I could offer 6 stars I would. I drove an hour and a half to get here within the last hour they were open. It was definitely worth the drive. The reptiles, fish, insects and birds were all immaculate and exotic. The tanks were all kept perfect and there is plenty of supplies and animals you don’t see anywhere else. The service was more then friendly and knowledgeable. The owner even gave me a huge discount on a coral I’ve been really wanting. This place was much more then I even expected and worth the drive.

You can tell that you're in the right place when you see tanks that have been established for 20-plus years flourishing in the salt water department the staff is all very knowledgeable and friendly I just went home with two nice pieces of coral and three different species of Tang. Very happy.

I’m absolutely shocked. I’ve come to this store for the past couple of years and usually the fish and stock are very well taken care of.My wife and I came to visit and literally had one of the most horrifying experiences at a pet store.Several of the saltwater fish were lying dead/dying in their tanks, ALL of the fancy goldfish had horrible end stage ich with many of them dead or very nearly dead clearly suffering and frankly need to be euthanized.The store smelled like uncleaned and poorly kept reptile enclosures.I tried talking with staff but everyone just wanted me to “ask Someone else”. Frankly, I’m looking into reporting this establishment for inhumane treatment of animals…

Petzone. It's the place you go for quality animals and even greater services. Unlike other pet shops you go to. You smell the earthy smell of the bedding, and the saltwater of there tanks. There tanks 99% of the time are absolutely clean. Minus you know middle day bathroom necessities as animals do. You can tell the level of love for the animals as if they were his own personal collection. Absolutely great experience with great knowledge.
