Mike is the dude ..the whole team is cool. knowledgeable. they built and tuned my Tommaso Monza out of the box. It wasn't there fault but, I had an issue with tire size.. very open communication to help me sort it out.most bike shops are backed up right now - if you find one that isn't, I'd be concerned about the trade-off in service. I didn't have a "go-to bike shop" but I do now

In a world of corporate bike shops, west liberty is a local gem. Rob helped me rebuild a cheap craigslist gravel bike with parts he had laying around, and the crew keeps my full suspension rolling through it's abuse. Quick, affordable, and with care. Can't reccomend it enough.

It is increasingly rare to receive service that is done right the first time. It's a white buffalo to find a place you don't have to advocate for what you pay for. But here, at West Liberty Cycles, we find it! Consistently, for over a decade, Rob & Co., who saved this store from falling into oblivion--a store my father shopped at when HE was in college--have provided flawless and exemplary work on average bicycles. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they do work on high-end bikes just as well... but the takeaway here is this: They can make an average bike from a dept store feel better than it ever has, and you don't leave feeling judged as you do so many other places that look down their nose at weekend warriors. Thank you, everyone at WLC for always being a part of our Spring! Every time we ride, we think of your great work!

Rob and the crew at West Liberty Cycles are are everything that is right with a bike shop. I have recently gotten back into to cycling after many years away and I am happy to call WLC my shop. My bike had been stored in the garage for the 5 years I’ve lived in PGH and needed a lot of attention. Rob replaced my entire group set and performed a top notch setup/tune up which has made my return to the saddle a blast. I actually dropped it off today to have a new set of drops put on it. I will go to WLC for all of my needs. Top shelf service. They’re simply the best. ZERO pretentiousness or elitist attitude from them. They make you feel welcome and are super easy to talk to. I don’t feel like I’m being judged when I go in there. I know many of you know what I mean. Hell, when I had my bike fitting done by Matt at UPMC we were talking about how great this shop is. He said they’re probably the best bike shop in the entire area.I don’t know if Rob and the guys from WLC read these reviews but in case you do, thanks SO much for making my return to cycling so great! I’ll recommend anyone in the region to head your way. Take it easy!

I have used West Liberty Bikes for years for tune-ups. They have always been great and return my bike looking and working like new. Bought my first bike from them a couple of weeks ago. Rob was so awesome taking time to go into detail about the different frame options and components on the 3 different bikes i was interested in...never felt rushed or pressured. The thing I love about the shop is everyone wants you to be happy with your purchase, so that you enjoy the bike. Wonderful bike shop. I go to get my bike fixed sometimes or to go get new parts and the guys who work there are really nice and chill. They get the job done quick and on time. Their craftsmanship is really great and I can always depend on them for my bike problems. (By the way, they have a free air pump you can use for your bike tires anytime you stop by lol).

Great staff. I appreciate the friendly help and advice. I came in with a bike I had not purchased there and was treated so well and taken such good care of (by Rob) it was the first place I went when I needed a new bike. Very happy with the laid back information session that took place while I shopped, as opposed to some of the other places that tried to force their opinion on you. I learned so much that I shopped around a bit. I found other places with bikes that were similar, but could not beat the service so I ultimately came back and bought from them. I am getting the same great service on the bike I purchased from them, too.

I had the maintenance done on my bike there. Very fast turnaround. I had a problem with my brakes only two rides later any took my bike back and explained what was happening. they took it right away to solve the problem. Ended up getting an upgraded rotor and new pads free of charge. Oh yea and less than two hours later.Thank you.

Great local bike shop. Knowledgeable owner, give excellent advice and can accommodate cyclists across the entire spectrum from novice riders to experienced racers. The wrenches in the shop can accommodate Campy-philes, which is also great. I've used this shop extensively and have always had an excellent experience.

I wouldn't recommend anywhere else if you are in the south hills area. Even a great help over the phone to get you what you need!
