Helpful and well-stocked for the neighborhood needs if you need things fast. Price range is consistently fair but cash is handy for things under $5. It's not stocked like a bigger box store for home improvement, but serves everyone here very well within its role here. Parking is typical of Carson Street. Plenty of great places nearby to grab a bite to eat after.

I went last week to get two keys made and was happy to know I could get this addressed right here on E. Carson. The staff was super helpful and friendly even when they had issues with making one of the keys. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Vogt's is one of a dying breed of neighborhood hardware stores, having been replaced largely by the big box stores. Staff is knowledgeable and the prices aren't that different from the big boxes. Also, some interesting surprises, like a line of pricey but sturdy German-made hand tools. Support stores like Vogt's before they go extinct.

We prefer to shop small business when we can, so we were happy to find one close to our place in Pittsburgh. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. We would definitely go back!

Purchased a garden hose Monday. Went home put it on the spigot to water plants later on that evening. Hose had low pressure turned out to be a giant gash in the hose.. This place was closed at that point went to a big box home improvement center and purchased another hose that actually worked that same day. Took the hose back to this place the following Wednesday told them what happened and they would not refund the the money for the faulty product. If you don't stand by the products you sell then you must know it's junk. Will never return to this place, you give mom and pops a bad name. Bought a staple gun from this place a few weeks ago as well took it home to use and it broke they actually gave me credit toward a different one. Told me they have had problems with them prior to that yet they still had it on the shelf.You should stand by the products you sell, shame on you.

A little overpriced but it's got that local ma and pa store feel to it. I live down the street from them so I always go there to get keys made and walk out with a bunch of stuff I didn't know i needed until I saw it. Neat place and friendly folks.

I want to say these are the nicest people I have encountered. I have been going to there store frequently for a problem I have with rodents. (Slightly embarrassed) but every visit I live with a conversation and a smile and nothing feeling so bad. So today to my surprise as I came for my Tri-weekly supply, they decided to give me a whole tub as a late Xmas present. I’m still in awww, speechless so unexpected and at a time when I was needing to cut back do to excess spending. They only way I know how to repay them is to let everyone know that the customer service is exceptional at this hardware store, along with great pricing. 5 star business go visit. EjG

Great small family run business for random things needed around the house. I'm so glad I can come here instead of driving 40 min round trip to the nearest Lowe's just for some screws, nuts, bolts, minor tools, etc for household tasks.

Great neighborhood store! Very friendly staff that offers help immediately. They have a decent variety of common items and things you may need in a pinch. Way better than driving to a big chain store and having to hunt down an employee for assistance.

This place is truly an “old school” hardware store. I was working on a project to hang some lights in my backyard and the staff were extremely helpful in getting me the right stuff I needed to get the project done. Highly recommend!
