Trader Joe’s does the holiday seasons right. They have the best variety of holiday treats and sweets! They also have a wide selection of living plants a flowers. This is my go to place when I need a little card and gift.TJ’s has an interesting selection of food - their cheese, dips, and frozen foods are my favorite. TJ’s obviously lacks the big name brands but they make up for it with their delicious speciality items.The prices at TJ’s are significantly better than giant eagle. I always start my shopping at Trader Joe’s before going to GE.

I understand the charge for bags, it’s good, but please stop filling them half way and charging for 2x the amount. It’s happened several time now I have to say something. I was able to give one bag because only TP was in there and it didn’t need one when asked. It’s a waste and an extra cost.

The $5 ground beef was surprisingly delicious, and with 20% fat was reasonably fatty for healthy eating. The whole bean coffee was also a great value.The staff is very friendly and courteous.I seemed to be the only one enjoying shopping there - everyone else had a stern look on their face like they couldn't finish shopping fast enough. Also I nearly got run over by a few folks, which is surprising considering how spacious the store is. And nobody even says hello anymore.

The cashier dropped my strawberries, and they offered to give me a new box. The crazy part? The manager took 5 minutes to get me the strawberries and picked a box that was MOLDY and ROTTEN. It’s hard to believe this wasn’t some ploy to get rid of the spoilt strawberries. Disappointed to say the least.

I can't say enough about this Trader Joe's! Always stocked, organized & friendly workers. Produce is fresh with competitive pricing. Our whole family loves the variety of frozen foods.

There's a few TJs around Pittsburgh, but this is the one I'm most familiar with (and my favorite). Super super nice staff. It's usually not too terribly busy here, and they've got good products for good prices.If you're looking for a Giant Eagle alternative, this is a good one.

This was my first time going to trader Joe's, and I'm 40! It felt like a game show because of how busy it was and people grabbing things off the shelves! Prices are beautiful, and there are so many hidden gems here. The staff was super friendly and even used our own bags to bag our groceries. The lobster bisque is beyond amazing.

I was told to check this store out. I expected healthy food but the store mostly looks to have self branded products, little to no fresh produce as it's all in plastic packaging. I'm not sure but everything feels like overstock as if this supermarket was run like a yard sale. Decided to buy something so I went to get some decently priced packaged cashews and almonds but then I was told they would charge me for a bag.

I love shopping here. They have many interesting and rich coffees. I enjoy when they are giving free samples and tend to buy most of the things they are promoting. I would shop here more often if I lived closer. The employees truly seem to enjoy working there and are always cheerful and pleasant.

Great selection of everything starting from breads, beverages, cheese,desserts, fruits, vegetables, frozen treats etc. They also carry supplements and vitamins. I am a big fan of their beauty products. This location got revamped recently and now they have a wide selection of products. Found many new items since the renovation as the store got a lot bigger than before. Love all of their products and their customer service. Only one negative point about this store is the middle aged lady who is a bit cold most of the times and not so friendly. Except for her, all the staffs are very helpful and friendly.

Trader Joe’s is a pleasure to shop for quality and fairly priced foods. Just sit outside TJ’s doors and watch the customers come & go; there’s always a steady flow of interesting individuals entering and leaving! Need assistance while shopping inside TJ’s? It is VERY easy to locate an employee inside the market. Not at all like Giant Eagles or the Market District, where you’ve got to look around for any help…at Trader Joe’s there are at least 1-2 employees in every aisle at any given time. And talk about politeness and awareness of what TJ sells in the store…each individual employee is kind and considerate, not to mention, each one has a unique look about themselves, too! They are well paid and have great benefits and are treated very well by their employer. And this I heard directly from a Trader Joe’s employee! SHOP for your groceries and other “things” (like houseplants and garden plants as well) at this Trader Joe’s on Penn Avenue in East Liberty and I guarantee you’ll be a Happy Shopper! :-)

I have heard a lot of good things about this place and indeed it did have some good deals and unique items but for me personally it was just like any other food store.Now I usually shop at Whole Foods so my expectations were likely higher but it’s certainly not a bad place to go. The prices were better than Whole Foods and the products we got were nearly as good.This place is always packed so be aware of that and be patient because checkout takes a good deal of time.My advise is to go with someone else and have them get in line right away while you shop that way you don’t have to wait as long

Uggh. Wow! I love the items that I get, it is a trial shopping here. It is an experience I don't relish. And I try to go at off hours, but it is generally a penitential experience at peak hours

Great Trader Joe's branch, but as a recommendation, try to avoid busy hours. The store has narrow aisles and get crowded easily which can ruin your shopping experience. Staff is great and always willing to help you.

My favorite this year was the breaded olive appetizer, I bought 4 boxes and pull out a box to make 4-5 in my air fryer with a glass of wine, makes me feel so special on a busy day at work.

Always clean and welcoming environment. The produce is hit or miss. I've had fruit get moldy overnight. The bread also gets moldy fairly quickly. Everything else is great. I love the unique products that are offered and the snacks are always A+. The staff is beyond helpful and are always pleasant to interact with.

Been shopping at Trader Joe's since the first one in Southern California. Good choices for food but the recent and severe anti-union push/assault from this company, unions "violate the constitution", ensures I will never return.

Needed to buy flowers for a baby shower “Flower Bar.” The staff at the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Trader Joe’s was extremely helpful… Especially Emily and Nick!! I had no clue what I was doing and they made the process so easy… I will recommend them to everyone!!The flowers were so reasonably priced and beautiful, too!!💐

my experience they lil police 4/1/2024 was in the corner by the entrance i never seen a police officer in trader joes left the store i didnt feel like uit was worth the expense...i get around the corner walking down towrds targetand i looked back randomly the cop guy was outside walked to the sidewalk!! starin at me a blq man? im done with tj giant eagle is better trust me

I haven't been in Trader Joe's since the pandemic. I don't believe in standing in line to spend my money. While the store was mad crowded I was still able to move around to get what I wanted and I didn't have to wait two hours to get out. I went to get the corn salsa but also got some gems that the store sales. Cashiers were extremely nice.

I LOVE TRADER JOE’S!!!!!!!!! So many exclusives, everything is so good. Best frozen food ever. Bakery items amazing. Good meat selection, great fresh vegetables and fruits. All KINDS OF CHEESE’S!!! The prices here are even better than Walmart these days. I religiously do my food shopping here, even if it’s 25 minutes away from me. Also, customer service A1.

The staff is absolutely wonderful and kind! But it gets so insanely busy on weekends that it becomes a rather unpleasant experience to the point that you can barely move through the store. I wish TJ would consider opening another location nearby or remodeling the current one.

I have been shopping here since I was a college student (even now as a working adult). I love their products! Food are never spoiled and they are pretty affordable and cheaper than Giant Eagle. Also cashiers are at every register scanning, not like walmart where only two registers are open. My one criticism is they don't sell all products like Giant Eagle does.

This place is a warzone 24/7. I have never been able to walk through an aisle or look at a product for more than 3 seconds before a granola mom or one of 35 employees is standing on top of me and/or breathing down my neck. Even when it's said to be "less busy than normal" you’re still practically being plowed over by a group of 17 college girls who MUST get to the broccoli florets at the exact same time as you.I don't have social anxiety. However, this place makes me seethe every time I go in. I'll go get my artisinal spinach croissants or organic grass-fed espresso beans elsewhere.
