Well. I see a lot of people saying this target is convenient for people who live downtown. Sure. If you walk. If you drive your better off going to the Target in Shadyside. The parking situation will add so much trip time. Even though the parking is free for 1 hour because the ramp is TINY. And you have to drive very slow I really don't think it's worth the chance of getting into a accident. Also. The store is tiny. While that's fine. There are some basic needs that it's lacking. No shampoo. Only body wash. No packs of white tees socks or boxers . Seriously better off going to shadyside. Also. The target voucher to leave the parking wouldn't scan so I had to call customer service and hold up the line. I truly wonder how many people just say screw it and pay the $5. I will give it 3 stars cause it's better there no target downtown of course and the staff weren't rude or anything. Just don't expect to get even half of whats on your shopping list here.

This Target department store has a “small format” so offers fewer products than do full-sized stores. I thought that its departments for clothing and electronics were small, but I did find a decent selection of products for hygiene, health, beauty, cleaning, office, household, toys, etc. I chose a few products, and I paid at the self-checkout. I think that this Target is very convenient and useful for people who either live in or visit the downtown city.

I walked into Pittsburgh downtown Target where I have shopped many times with my daughter, a student at PPU and watched a worker walk out of the bathroom. I had just driven in to town from NYC and stopped to buy my daughter some snacks. I asked to use the bathroom and was told I could not. I begged two associates and the manager explaining that the emergency was impending. They told me to go to subway.Subway had just turned me away. I explained this and they told me directions to a porta potty two blocks away. I don’t know Pittsburgh so this was not clear to me. I asked again and spoke to the manager who refused and said by law she did not have to let me use their restroom. This may be so but as a woman and human being I was disrespected and treated like I was doing something wrong in a place where I have been a customer and spent thousand of dollars. Shame on you for your unkindness!

Employees up front check out and montering self checkout are not one but nice. I'm a friendly person and tried to say hi but they turned their heads down and refused to respond. I've determined that they are snobs and should not be working with the public. Especially the Asian American girl. Very unkind! Very Kurt! I was just returning a belt and now I'LL NEVER GO BACK. SNOBS SUCK!!!!

Every cashier and staff member at this Target location are always so friendly, polite, professional and helpful! I only knock one star because the location is dumpy, but that’s a Downtown Pittsburgh problem.

4/5 stars because of store hoursGreat addition to downtown. It’s a very nice target but it closes way to early for a city location

SUPER convenient! They have cheese and milk, meat, fruits, salads and vegetables, pasta, etc. most of the things all targets have !Yeah parking is not free but it’s downtown and this location works perfectly for anyone lives or work nearby.I don’t see lack of free parking as a issue.

I am always followed by the white, very fat security guard even though I have a job I guess I look the part and it makes me not want to shop at this store but it's ok because Walmart is less expensive than Target

A teeny-tiny Target! Limited selection on some items like clothing, but lots of grocery options convenient for those who work downtown.

This is a scaled-down target, which is understandable a lot less space to put things. The staff are friendly and helpful.. it is always clean inside and out..I have had several conversations with the man who handles the daunting task of cleaning in the morning.. He is a friendly man, who goes above and beyond to help guests.. .. and all that and keeps his smile..I would recommend going there to shop

I work Downtown I wanted to like this store. All Customers should not have to use self checkout. Self checkout should be optional.

Parking is $5 for 0-30 min and $10 for 30-60min unless you spend $20 in the store. I get that this store is targeting downtown residents who won’t need to drive, but it really doesn’t seem right to charge paying customers so much for parking. I live in west Oakland (the side closest to downtown), so I was really looking forward to being able to drive to this store in half the time it takes me to go to Shadyside or the Waterfront Target. I could see doing free 30 min parking with ANY purchase, but as it stands I wouldn’t recommend this store for anyone who’s driving. Target is definitely betting people will just load their cart up after realizing parking is so expensive… I certainly did. I won’t be back.

It was quite refreshing going into this store. The employees who I interacted with were smiling and happy to help me find what I was looking for. The store was very clean and super organized. Make the trip to the old Kaufman's building and do some shopping in the new Target store.

Literally the worst target I've ever been to. Went around 5pm on a Sunday and literally all the shelves in the grocery are empty. We couldn't even get the milk we came for. And it is also apparent that they don't even carry any of the items that any other target usually would carry, for example they don't have any clothing and a very limited cosmetics sectionAnd worst of all is the parking situation, it is too difficult to find the entrance to the parking garage, and the garage itself is confusing and long winded to actually get into the target. And worst of all is that the PARKING IS NOT FREE. It is literally $5 for every 30 minutes. Meaning if you spend an hour here you have to pay $10 for parking. And not only that but the parking exit is downright dangerous. The kiosk to pay for parking is literally at a dangerous upward incline so you have to literally put your car in park mid-hill and still risk it rolling backwards and hitting the person waiting to exit behind you (almost happened to us). They supposedly give you a voucher for free parking if you spend more than $20 (it printed out a voucher for us with our receipt) but the kiosk wasn't accepting our voucher, we had to call the help service. Also saw multiple people in the store looking for employees to help them, for example at the order pick up counter which was abandoned. It literally seemed like no one works here. All the checkouts are actually self checkouts!!0/10 experience, would recommend to avoid completely, don't waste your time. There is nothing sold here that you can't find at nearby CVS or rite aid.

It's convenient. Light shopping. An all in 1 store just about. It depends on what your size is. And of course style. But it's mainly for college students and first timers on their own.

Very small store, but very convenient... My biggest issue is that the staff is not very customer friendly and there is very little customer service. Overall I love this store and feel it is a great addition to Downtown.

Want to get ripped off and be forced to pay for parking? This is the place! Contradictory signs (some stating free for an hour and some saying “fee”). The line was so backed up to get out that by the time I made it to the gate, I was forced to pay for 2 hours in the garage. Also, NOTHING is in stock.

This is the new Target in downtown Pittsburgh. Expect long lines and understaffing of cashiers, if any. If cashier staffing doesn’t improve this is sure to be the next closure in downtown Pittsburgh. Such a shame

Exactly what I’ve come to expect from city Targets with the added bonus of some fresh food! This is definitely small and meant to be a haven more for folks grabbing something on their lunch breaks on local college students. It has a pared down selection of items, but covers the bases of what I would consider the most popular and necessary things for this location. This is great for folks who live and work downtown but is definitely not what you expect if you haven’t been to a city Target before.

Limited options compared to other targets and basically every line is self checkout so the employees don't really do much interaction with customers at all and that's a part of the in person store experience in my opinion..

Tiny selection, but good for emergencies I guess. Machine wouldn’t validate our purchase to bypass parking fee. Not a fan of this location.

For those of us that live and work in downtown, I believe I can speak for the majority and say that we are grateful for Pittsburgh’s first ever downtown Target location! The 22,000 sqft space has everything the need, with nearly 1/3 of the store being grocery - TONS of vegan alternatives, contrary to an article I read. The store although only a week old has been wildly busy yet pristine in terms of management - the team could not be more professional and genuinely kind. This is a major step in the right direction for our small city and I am hopeful it will expedite retail improvements in the coming 1-2 years.

Very nice store. Friendly and helpful employees. They have all the essentials for living in downtown. Great location, the old Kaufman building.

I am SO upset with my last visit here. Terrible staff and experience. Living in downtown I love this target except today I went to buy over-ear headphones, and while I was shopping I was closely followed by over 3 different security guards. This lasted my entire shopping trip. It made me so uncomfortable when I was just testing a couple pairs, and I couldn’t shop in peace at all anymore. I was ready to spend $250+, but now I’m just upset and leaving. Really thought a downtown target could be luxurious, but it’s just ghetto. Dumbest security force I’ve seen in my life, and I work in artist protection for a living.

Tiny. Dimly-lit. Depressing.Don't make the trip downtown if you're only going to Target. We were downtown and stopped by to check it out. I'd hoped to pick up a pair of gloves, but they don't sell them. They don't sell much of anything; if you want to get your dog a coat, though, you've got a generous selection from which to choose. I've been to Targets in other cities, and this one is by far the saddest and not even worth visiting. Annapolis has a gorgeous two-floor Target with free parking. So sad to see what has happened to what used to be an absolutely amazing downtown destination - when it was Kaufmann's. The owners destroyed this building.

Excellent addition for Downtown. Been here for several years, and the only place to get essentials are the several pharmacies spread throughout the city. This is way better. Given the space, it has a FANTASTIC selection of products and what residents want. The Karens from the North Hills need to chill because they can't back their Chevy Tahoes up to this, but this place is perfect for those who know. Security is top notch and the employees hover when checking out, which is what I like. Tougher area, but overall felt safe and satisfied during my visit. Hopefully this place will set the bar high for those trying to tap into the huge downtown living crowd.

WARNING; this is NOT a full-size target! HOWEVER, if you just need some basic sundries, or something quick for dinner, maybe a T-shirt, some stationary, drop on by! The rumor is they will be incorporating a pharmacy as well in the future. Parking is another story – you can either park in one of the city garages (or there at Kaufman‘s, but I believe you must spend a certain amount before they will validate a ticket.) Other than that, and the occasional homeless person that wanders in, it’s a decent place to do some quick shopping (Look for five below and Burlington to be joining the building soon, I’m told…)
