So charming! A visit to Synthesis always brightens my day! They have so many succulents I've never seen elsewhere in Pittsburgh. And the selection is great-- a wide variety of sizes and price points. There are planters, cards, totes, gorgeous pins-- it's a great spot to find a last-minute gift or find a special something for your window ledge.

Coming here is one of my favorite ways to treat myself. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable. I always go home with a couple new plant friends and clear directions on how to keep them alive, even though my apartment has pretty poor lighting. The shop is beautiful and the pup that hangs out there is super adorable.

10 stars if I could! Tiny little plant shop tucked away off of walnut street but a must-see! They have the most unique pots and plant stands, as well as the cutest little plants. We did not leave empty handed. She even potted out plants for us as well as drilled a drainage hole into the pots. I want to go back as soon as I can!

They always have a great selection of healthy and beautiful plants from basic to super cool rare babes, always at the right price. The owner is very friendly and helpful and her dog is the cutest. I have about 200 plants and she still has fun stuff I don't have yet. Go to synthesis, you'll love it.

My most favorite plant store in Pittsburgh!I work at the restaurant nearby and I always stop here when I have a break. They have a lot of variety of plants and pots with reasonable price and the owner she is super sweet! I really recommend this place if you want a really nice healthy beautiful plant.

I ordered a plant, pot, and card for delivery close by to a friend and Amber went wayyyy above and beyond to help me. She worked with me to find the perfect combination of plant/pot and was just so kind and helpful. It was definitely a special ask, and her helpfulness really made my day (and the day of the friend who received the gift). I can’t wait to get into town and check out the store in person!

I simply have nothing but good things to say about this cute shop. From Amanda being genuinely the sweetest shop owner to also being extremely knowledgeable on all things house plants! The shop has amazing ceramics, some good rare plants and the perfect shop pup! I can’t wait to frequent here more! ❤️

I've only been the shop twice, but very happy I stumbled upon it. Very friendly staff, cute shop, and if you're looking for some beautiful pots to house your plants this is definitely the place to go.Also, not important at all to some, but the music selection was A+. Very excited to plant my purchases for work!

Came here last weekend to pick up a few more plants for the house. The best thing was that there were a variety of plants at different price points. I feel a lot of similar stores in Pittsburgh have plants that are very pricey, but here I was able to make 4 new additions under $30! The plants are very well-kept, and they have also have an array of pots/decor items to purchase as well. Everyone was politely socially distancing, which I appreciated since it was a small space. I would definitely come back here!

Such a cute shop, love that they have a lot of pet safe options and a super cool selection of pots available. Owner is incredibly helpful and kind and will even pot plants for you when you buy them. I am in love with everything that I have bought from Synthesis and all for very reasonable prices.

I went to check out this shop on the chance they might have a low-maintenance plant that looked nice. I was really impressed with the selection. One of the store owners, Amber, was there and she’s extremely helpful and knowledgable about all the shop has to offer. I bought a beautiful cactus. And after getting it home, it looked so nice, I’m definitely gonna go back and get another one.

I am so jazzed about my first trip to Synthesis yesterday that I’ve been annoying everyone today about my finds! It was unseasonably beautiful and everyone was being respectful and cautious of social distancing in this sweet little shop, which is the real reason I showed some restraint in making a quick purchase. I have been drooling over this place since I stumbled upon them on a google search a few days ago and after visiting, I have DEFINITELY caught the bug. Staff was super knowledgeable, helpful, and kind even in our quick exchange and I can’t wait to go back! A real desert treasure in our Steel City!

I’m always happy with my trips to Synthesis. The owner is the nicest and most knowledgeable person that I trust about the plants that I get! Nearly half of all my plants are from here and they are all beautiful and strong. I live farther away now, but that will not stop me from making my visits!

This shop is a lovely environment to be in. It is beautiful, well-designed, and contains an impressive selection of desert plants and succulents and clearly well-curated artifacts. I purchased two plants for now, but I'm sure I'll be back again and again.

Amazingly cute little artistic plant shop tucked away next to Walnut St. My partner and I got some plants and little pots here. Our heart fern was very reasonably priced and has stayed very healthy!
