This is directed to the Pharmacy only:Some of the pharmacists who work at this location do not even know or understand the laws of PA. They refused to fill my prescription because my insurance did not cover it. I told them I will pay cash and she still refused. I will Never go here again. Went to Giant Eagle and had it filled in 15 minutes

I have used this pharmacy off and on for 15 years. There is a current shortage of the medication my family takes. Rte aid you have made it impossible to navigate this situation because you have no data from you own system of stores or from neighboring other stores. A patient cannot call around to find out what store has it in stock nor has a paper prescription to take into a store to check. If it’s in Rite Aids system then it should tell a customer what store has it in stock.

We've been going to this Rite-Aid pharmacy for years. I moved and tried using a different pharmacy, but it was awful. Everyone at this location is always friendly and helpful. Prescriptions are always filled quickly. The only downside is the pharmacy is closed on the weekends (but that's common with a lot of pharmacies these days), so during emergencies, we have to go to Giant Eagle. Highly recommend.

Title: Exceptional Service by AlenaI had the pleasure of visiting Rite Aid today and was fortunate enough to encounter the incredible Alena at the cashier's counter. Let me just say, her exceptional service truly made my day and turned a mundane shopping experience into something truly memorable.From the moment I approached her register, Alena greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. It's not often that you come across an employee who radiates such positivity and customer-oriented attitude. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the products and promotions in the store, which was a great help in making my purchasing decisions.What really stood out was Alena's remarkable patience and willingness to assist. I had a few questions about some products and she took the time to provide detailed explanations, ensuring I had all the information I needed before making a purchase. I attempted to get a script from one of my prescriptions transfered to this pharmacy. One of the workers told me that I had to have my former pharmacy contact them. I contacted my former pharmacy and they said I had to have my new pharmacy contact them. I got nowhere with this. Neither pharmacy wanted to help me. I need this medicine to walk and to do my job! Perhaps it was the other pharmacies responsibility and they were opting out. But honestly, it is both pharmacies responsibility to make sure that every patient gets their medicine in a timely manner! What if this medicine were a matter of life and death???!!!!Also, I was in a panic that I wasn't going to be able to get this medicine. This is something that no one should have to worry about. Rite Aid Corporate, please screen more carefully who you hire in the pharmacy. Make sure that they not only are able to do their job but also want to do their job. When you hire someone who can't do their job, they feel frustrated and take it out on the customer. RITE AID CORPORATE, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!!!

This pharmacy is a MESS. After 10 years, I finally switched to CVS. Do yourself a favor & NEVER come here. Not only do they never have your scripts, they workers are horrible. After waiting almost an hour just to get to the pharmacy counter, the lady told me her feet hurt & that she needed to go sit down for awhile before helping me. When she came back another 10 minutes later, she proceeded to tell me how she is on Vicodin, etc. What the hell is going on here? This place has gone down hill SO bad. I will never be returning.

By far the slowest pharmacy I've ever been to. Lines are constantly backed up and the people working behind the counters have no sense of urgency to get people their medicine. Fire all the staff and start overUpdate Sept 2022: my experience at this pharmacy has been very pleasant the last couple months. I'm not sure what has changed but I'm able to consistently get in and out quickly with no issues so I'm changing my review from one star to 5

I have been coming to this location forever… until tonight. I am in excruciating pain. My doctor sent my prescription here so I stopped at 6 pm after work. Apparently they closed at noon today. They are blaming this on not having workers. There are a ton of people looking for work, hire them! These excuses are ridiculous. I will never have another prescription sent here again let alone buy a bottle of water there. What a shame. I really hope that there aren’t people who worse off than I am hoping to have their scripts filled at Rite Aid. What a total embarrassment!

I have used various rite aids over the years and never had any issues. This location I have had issues for the past couple of months. I typically work late so I usually pick up my medication after 5pm. Multiple times I’ve gotten there and the pharmacy just randomly closes at like 4pm or just doesn’t open at all. When the pharmacy is open the line is usually halfway through the store and painfully slow. You are lucky if the drive thru is even open. Refill time is abysmal. I’ve even had to go without my medication for a couple of days because it wasn’t filled in time. While my medication isn’t life saving by any means I feel bad for others that have medication they absolutely need. Needless to say, I’ve transferred across the street to CVS and have had no issues. Although, the transferral process was also slow because CVS was having issues contacting Rite Aid for my information. I’m considerate of the job shortages but having this gone on for months at a time and the need for my medication, I’m sticking to cvs and I suggest others do as well.

Still waiting on a refill.... almost 2 weeks later. Transferring to WalmartReply to RA:I have been doing business with your retail store and pharmacy at 1804 Golden Mile Hwy, Pittsburgh, PA 15239 for at least 10 years. I would like to allow a single exception to all statements below, I think the main pharmacist there is a guy named John. He does a wonderful job and is very courteous. The quality and reliability of this store has quickly gone from a solid "9" down to a "1" at best. Medications are never ready in a reasonable time, and usually have to be ordered. This can take days, sometimes a week for simple generic medications. I have personally heard members of the pharmacy team state that they did not even begin to work on prescriptions until the customer arrived and waited in line, which might I add, usually stretches half way throughout the store. Even my neighbor has voiced concerns over not wanting to shop here based on the same concerns. I would suffice it to say that she used to spend $100.00 weekly at this location. I have a single prescription at a local Walmart, and have never had any of these issues there. Ever! I am currently working to get all my prescriptions transferred to the Walmart or CVS, (next door).... Simply to avoid the headache that comes with the new Rite Aid. I know this is where you inform me that you are short of labor, and COVID... To both statements, I call BS. I run a local small business that likely pays less and provides lesser benefits than Rite Aid. Somehow we have kept a full employee roster and had very minimal service disruptions. I would have to assume that R.A. is putting profits before business. In my humble opinion, that how a company does exactly what has happened in this case... loose clients. As I and a small number of people I know are taking our business elsewhere. If this is all about the bottom line, might I suggest that you close the store now and liquidate. The once good name of Rite Aid is being tarnished even more everyday. I wish you all the best.

If I could give less than one star I would. They REFUSE to fill scripts for me and my dr office has called and STILL DELAYS! I asked the pharmacist why is this happening and she shrugged her shoulders, offered no explanation and walked away. This pharmacy is a disgrace and never answer their phones. You are supplying life sustaining medication to I’ll people this is serious!! Get more employees with empathy and kindness! Most horrible pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. They will never fill a script for me again. DISGRACEFUL!!

If there was a worst pharmacy award- it would go to this location. Employees are very rude, scripts not filled; best is when they try to gaslight you saying a script was never called in but when you push they admitted it was but they “got rid of it,” despite only notifying me less than 24 hours ago it was ready and i stated i’d pick up 01/11.This has happened nearly every time i had a script called into that location - always “lost scripts” “wasn’t picked up in time” or “never called in” and until shown proof that it was confirmed and ready for pickup… they won’t admit what happened with meds. There is supposed to be an allotted amount of time to pick up prescriptions before voided- the allotted time is more than 2-3 days which is when they seem to toss mine.Employees are very rude to customers, have seen more than one person talking rudely to customers and also talking rudely ABOUT customers when they are still within hearing distance and other customers are in line.Upon calling my physician to inform them i never picked up the meds they advised they’ve had multiple complaints about this location in Plum and would be sending my scripts elsewhere now. This location should be fully retrained and re-staffed or just shut down at this point.

I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for over 2 years now. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, and be patient with them, but I’ve lost all my patience. They will not refill your prescriptions. It’s been 8 days since I’ve last had my meds because of them. Every time I call, go through the drive thru or walk in to the pharmacy, they tell me my refill isn’t ready yet. I’ve tried calling them for 30 MINUTES and they refuse to answer. They’ve hung up on me a few times already. This is absurd. No one should go this long without their meds. This is a medical emergency and they don’t care! The worst staff I’ve seen in any establishment EVER. Do NOT get your meds here.

I have been a customer of the Plum location for many years.All through the pandemic up until about two to three months ago, I received excellent service; prescriptions were filled in a timely fashion, pharmacists took time to answer questions, telephone calls were answered, and the employees were helpful and pleasant. This went on for years!Well, literally all of a sudden (literally overnight), things took a 180 turn for the worse.Prescriptions weren't filled (at all). Even when I would call in their automatic ordering system as I had for years, they would claim they never got the request. Several times this happened, and to make it worse, they said it would be a week (!) for them to fill the prescription because they were so booked up. So, after a week I would go back to pick up the prescription, and if I had ordered refills of two prescriptions, most time they only had one prescription filled and I would have to come back to the store yet another time.I spoke to the store manager, Mellissa, and she explained that they are short staffed and doesn't see that situation changing anytime soon. I'm empathetic towards that issue, but to a point. When you are in the human services field in which your clients depend on medications (in some cases life saving medications), their can't be any lag times and expect the patient to wait and put their lives in jeopardy because of such issues. Totally not acceptable.It got so bad that I was going without my insulin products for long periods of time because of their negligence that I reasoned its not worth risking my health (potentially very seriously) and needed to find another pharmacy.But, before I transferred my prescriptions, I decided to contact the district manager for pharmacy services at Rite Aid. Sadly, this was a frustrating experience as she didn't deny issues at this store, but suggested it would be at least a month before anything (if anything) would be done.Fortunately, my insurance actually has two preferred pharmacies. Rite Aid and CVS.CVS is across the street from Rite Aid so logistically it was an easy decision and convenient.Since my transition to CVS, its once again smooth sailing.In closing, I'm not sure what exactly is going on at Rite Aid, but it seems to be some sort of labor issue. Labor issues can be tricky, but it should not be pushed onto the clients-we are the ones who keep these individuals employed and money in their pockets.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I came in over two weeks ago to have my prescription filled. I was told it wouldnt be ready for 5 days. I said thats fine. A couple of days later I received a text stating my script was ready and they would keep it til Oct 5th. and I could pay for it online to "save time". What a joke. I declined to pay online, thankfully. I got a text almost every day telling me my order was ready and I could pay for it online to "save time". Fast forward to today, two weeks later and I go in and I am told they didnt fill it yet because it was $33.00. I said no, its 10.00. She told me that was at a different Rite Aid. I said shouldnt they all be the same and she said yes but we dont have you in our system. I said then put me in. (this is bull because I have been in their system for years.) After 10 minutes she came back and said OK, but we have to mix the prescription. Its going to be a few minutes. No sorry, we'll get it right away, or even sorry for the inconvenience, just its going to be a few minutes. TWENTY MINUTES later I asked and was told its not done yet, our pharmacist is on the phone. I looked to the back of the store and saw a woman on a cell phone. I said is that her? Yes, I was told. she was on her cell phone talking to lord knows who. Ridiculous. Another woman came in to pick up her order and was told its not ready yet. She said they told her it was ready yesterday, and she was told we are behind. No sorry for the inconvenience, just "we're behind" Why text someone to say your order is ready if its not??????? I waited a while longer and was told they are behind because they are short. I have been waiting over two weeks, and was told my order was ready over a week ago, but they are STILL mixing it????? And dont get me started on how rudely I was treated because I had the nerve to ask for something that was "ready" for me 14 days ago, AND they wanted me to pay for it in advance too. This is the worst pharmacy EVER. At least 5 people came in as I was waiting and were all told their order would be ready in a couple of hours. Good luck to them trying to get their pills. Unorganized and rude don't begin to describe this pharmacy and its workers. Rite Aid has lost my business forever.

This Rite Aid should just be CLOSED DOWN!!I get it that it's hard to find workers and such, however that doesn't give an excuse for RUDE, NASTY, HORRIBLE service. The ladies here are some of the rudest, and nasty I have ever dealt with. I am going to do my best to NEVER EVER be in a position that I need to reenter this store.EVERYONE that I saw in the store, and talk to say the same thing. However owns this store needs to close it down, rehire and start over.

Waiting, waiting, waiting. First I go through drive-through to pick up my prescription. Told I’m in wrong lane - where is the signage to say that?? So I go inside and wait 10 minutes for some slow lady to wait on two people in front of me. Then I give my name and five minuted later the lady has not come back. Not friendly. Not organized. And slow slow slow. Time to change pharmacies. Finally told that my prescription called in tow hours ago isn’t ready and I need to come back. What a waste of my time.

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. There is a severe lack of customer service skills here, rude and miserable employees. At one visit I had to exit the drive thru lane due to a medical emergency and when I called into the store to have them move the car that was blocking me in, Theresa I believe her name was hung up on me after I explained that I was having a medical emergency and needed to exit the drive thru. Someone who considers them self a medical professional would never do this to a patient. Shame on me for giving them a second chance, and I can tell you every time I either see or hear Theresa… I cringe. Today I stopped in to pick up two prescriptions, one that I requested a refill on three days ago, and another that was called in this afternoon by my doctor only to be told they were not ready and it would be a half an hour. When I questioned the miserable employee, her response to me was that they are TEN days behind?? I don’t have time to wait for them to get them ready and they’ll be closed before I can make it back. I go a day without my medications. What is wrong with this place ?? Someone needs to step up and get this pharmacy under control… there is no excuse for this.

Someone needs to get corporate involved with these people. The pharmacy closes randomly, they claim shortages on medications every other pharmacy in the area has no issues filling, the people in the pharmacy are rude. My meds come in a box prepackaged, all they literally have to do is print the label and put it on, and it’s still not ready when it’s supposed to be. Took 3 days to get antibiotics. “Pharmaceutical staff shortage” excuse only goes so far…

If you could give 0 stars I would. I have used Rite-Aid for over 20 years and they have gone down hill fast. For 3 days in a row I went to the advertised Open Clinic for the Covid booster from 2-3PM at the Golden Mile Hwy, Monroeville location. Day 1 I got there at 2:45 and was told they weren’t doing any more. Day 2 I got there at 2 and the pharmacy was closed. Despite the sign at the front door advertising the clinic. Day 3 I arrived at 2:10 and stood in the pharmacy line for 20 minutes to again be told that they weren’t giving boosters AGAIN despite the sign out front. I left there and went to the location on Route 22 in Monroeville. That pharmacy was also closed and not giving boosters. I was told by the manager that there is a shortage of pharmacists. Ok Rite-Aid! Then update your website and take the signs down and advertise firm hours! In addition to the Booster clinic mismanagement, the store in Monroeville had NO paper products In the restroom (including seat coverings) and the hand sanitizer units in the restroom and on the floor were empty. They are literally contributing to the health crisis! They are a very large corporation in the health field. They sorely need to adapt to current conditions and revise their processes accordingly. A lot of people depend on them, including their workers. They are really doing them a disservice as well by having them work in conditions that can be minimized with better public communication and process changes.

The employees are very friendly and helpful here. I was able to transfer my prescription that I needed filled right away without issues. My regular pharmacy CVS has been closed the last few days and I was unable to get my prescription filled. The store also has a lot of merchandise available and a wellness discount card program.

Worst pharmacy ever. I keep telling my doctor to transfer my prescriptions and they keep sending them here. Staff is rude, never answer phones, or will literally pick up just to hang up on you, and takes weeks to refill prescriptions. Trying to get it so I never have to come back

I don't know what is happening at this pharmacy but they need to hire more people in the pharmacy and get medicine in their facility. I waited several days for a prescription I was out of and am still waiting on one. They don't answer the phone and it is impossible to deal with. I have been a customer fora very long time and am now considering changing. It is a shame, people need their prescriptions.It

Take the extra drive and go to the Export/Murrysville Rite Aid.I’ve been a customer for a long time at this one and only have to drive about 5 minutes to get to it—but I will GLADLY take the 15 minute ride to Murrysville to be treated kindly and actually know that I am receiving my meds on time.I don’t know what the heck is going on with this location—it wasn’t the best pre-pandemic—but now. Oy.Good luck getting a phone answered when you need to have an electronic RX filled…and don’t be surprised if you’re told it could be days before you can receive your meds when you show up and request the refill.I understand the struggle that everyone is going through with this pandemic and with getting proper staffing, but what’s going on at this pharmacy is not acceptable. How is it that I can call the Rite Aid over the hill and they answer EVERY TIME…and seem to always have my medications without delay (and usually filled in under an hour)..and go above and beyond to treat their customers kindly and with a smile...no matter how heavy their workload is. The issue isn’t “supply and staffing” or else I wouldn’t be able to go to another store and have my needs met without issue—I’m tired of hearing “we are short staffed”—NEWS FLASH!! EVERYONE IS!!! That doesn’t mean you just chuck it in the bucket and whine that you can’t do anything about it— clearly whoever is managing this location is struggling and needs to step aside because they’ve lost track of their circus. Don’t waste your time here.

Fill your scripts across the street at CVS . This is a huge disappointment howthey can't have a script filled within 8 hours!!!! Id give it zero stars. And they never answer the phone. Definitely gonna go outta business if they don't change
