Good evening to the folks out there enjoying life & enjoying their time off & others as others are working out here to stay connected together. Another day that started off pretty great for myself today I got a chance to travel thru the city & make a chance to do research on what to vote for & make a important decision for the cultural revolution of a impact. Today instead of violence I chose Education over politics to learn something I didn’t get to learn yesterday. When it’s time to mature I just say no to the things that I personally feel as so would hold me back & just get some fresh air by coming outside & visiting my favorite places around in the city while getting for the bigger things in life.

2 hours agoI get all my prescriptions from this location and about a week ago i picked up about 4 at the same time. The price seemed lower than normal and i asked the cashier severaltimes if they scanned everything in. They assured me several time that it was fine. I had just had a CT scan and major labs done so I thought maybe I hit my deductible.i went in tonight to pick up a script that my doctor had sent in and when the cashier noticed I had two to pick up she couldn’t find one. And it was one of the ones i picked up previously- so she asked the pharmacist for help the pharmacist said to me oh yeah it looks like they missed one and it’s a $60 co-pay with an attitude and condescending tone. After I had told her and the cashier that I had asked the man that rang me out the week before several times, if this was the correct total. So now I was made to feel like I purposely didn’t pay for a life-saving prescription of mine, which I would never do. so I offered to pay for the previously picked up prescription tonight so that it would be out of their system and that their inventory would be correct. I did this out of a courtesy because I work in a business where inventory is very important and I also didn’t want to be made to feel like a criminal, which is how your pharmacist made me feel tonight.I think that if you have people selling medications to the public that are in most cases, life saving, maybe you should train them to know what they are scanning out instead of making your customers, pretty consistent ones (who pay upwards of $200 a month on prescriptions) feel as though they are in the wrong.I would also like to add on that the cashier tonight very nice, i only had an issue with the way the pharmacist handled it even after i explained/ offered to pay.

I honestly never write reviews, but gosh this pharmacy is awful. We have used this pharmacy for a few years as it’s the closest and have never ever had a good experience. Today was finally the last straw - our doc tried to call in urgent meds all day but they didn’t answer the phone. So we brought physical scripts over several hours before closing time. They said it would take an hour or so and they would work on it. I came a little before closing (to give them extra time to fill it!) and they said they just got it so wouldn’t be able to fill it. I explained we actually had dropped it off hours ago and were told it would be filled. They then handed back one out of three scripts filled. I paid for it before I realized, then asked about the other two - they responded but not making eye contact (literally?!), shouting we are closed, and closing the gate in my front of me. Wild. I get it - they are understaffed and underpaid, but gosh, how can you treat people like that? I work in healthcare and I can’t imagine acting that way to people who are coming to me for help. It’s not a grocery store. People aren’t here to just buy soda or whatever, people are trying to get necessary medications and if that isn’t a service you can realistically provide, you should not be in business.

You'll go to get your prescription after work, and there's usually 8-10 people in line with as many people waiting on the side. Normally takes 30-45 minutes to get through the line, and once you're to the front you will either have an hour+ wait, or they'll tell you your prescription won't be ready for another couple days. You might consider calling ahead to ask about your refill, but nobody picks up the phone. Even after having my psychiatrist contact them directly, I still waited for over an hour.

Been using this pharmacy for years and I’m not sure what’s happened in the last 6 months, but it’s become completely unreliable. Long lines, scrips not ready on time, zero communication. The feel of a neighborhood pharmacy is completely gone. It’s just another empty big box store.Recently, I had to go in three days in a row to pick up my prescription. The first two days, I was told the one pharmacist working there was too busy to fill anything, but that it would be ready the next day. Waited until 3pm on day 2 and still nothing. The snickers and skittles were well stocked, though. When is Amazon going to send me my scrips with a drone? I’m ready.

The main appeal to this store was that it was open 24 hours. That made dealing with some of the other issues (e.g., sketchy people loitering, unfriendly associates, limited stock, etc.) worth dealing with. But the pharmacy hasn't been 24 hours in quite some time, and now the store itself isn't 24 hours on holidays. Also, when I have used the pharmacy, the wait times are usually very lengthy even when prescriptions are sent in advance. I don't blame the pharmacy staff though, as it seems the pharmacy is very understaffed. If you're in the Squirrel Hill area, it may still be a convenient location. But if you're looking for a true 24 hour pharmacy and store, try the CVS on Centre Avenue instead.

Fast pace, esthetically pleasing to the eye, and convenient place to go to. It has everything from beauty and food products to pet foods and as-seen-on-TV small invention that 'will change your daily lifestyle'. The pharmacy though, are understandably a little slow to getting to customers due to the high volume of calls that they receiveon a daily basis. Besides that, the atmosphere and the cool air conditioned building is pleasant to roam around in during the heat.

I’m surprised that this Rite Aid has a lot of bad reviews. Considering that it’s one of the fewest pharmacies in region that stays open 24 hours, this place is a life saver for parents looking for meds in the middle of the night. No one treated me badly or was rude during my visit, and it’s not taking five stars because I ran into a lot of empty shelves.

I like that this store is open late and always very clean and well organized. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. There is convenient garage parking across the street if the store parking lot is full but I have never had any difficulty finding a parking spot in the store parking lot. Definitely consider coming to this location.

I’ve used this pharmacy to pick up my prescription for several months now. Recently, it’s been borderline impossible to get it filled on time. They will make you wait for more than half an hour just to tell you they don’t have it in stock; even if you’ve called to refill it ahead of time. Last month, I had to go in person (because they never pick up the damn phone when you try and call them to inquire the status of your refill) over four times in a week trying to get my medication that was supposed to have been refilled the week prior. Every single time I went, they told me they will order it for tomorrow, and without fail, not pick up my phone calls and when I show up in person, tell me they do not have it in stock. Someone seriously needs to get on this understaffing issue; people not getting medication on time is a serious issue and it’s genuinely upsetting that management would let this kind of delay happen regularly.

I am a prescriber myself and a patient. This is the worst pharmacy experiences I’ve encountered. Unprofessional staff. No communication, none of the medications are filled on time and no way of getting ahold of anyone there. My doctor called in my script on the 24th today is the 27th and it is still not filled. Same thing happened last month and I had to stop by, wait in line , to be told to come back tomorrow when they fill it. Same thing is happening this month Go somewhere else until they fire the current pharmacists and staff

Horrible. Got screamed at by the pharmacist about being understaffed for simply asking if my prescription would be ready by the end of the day. I’m in the middle of an asthma attack and this place has my rescue medicines and steroids on hold. Rude and so so so deeply unprofessional and downright embarrassing for a pharmacist to scream at customers.

I had a shop and pay order from here and I walked inside looked for the items listed on my app and it took me a while to find some of them and I asked one of the employee there and when that gentleman was helping me by telling which row the item was in (Ronda) another employee or shift manager gave me an attitude by saying I had to do all my own by shopping and finding the items I needed and she told me I was getting paid to do those stuff when I only asked the gentleman which row the item was in she is very very rude/disrespectful towards the customers I’ve never ever had this problem in any of the rite aid stores when I had a shop and pay delivery. I had to search for my items for an hour and a half and brought my delivery late to my customer! Not happy with the customer service over here!

Will be changing pharmacies. I asked a simple question about a refill and was treated rudely infront of other customers. The employee (glasses, brown hair) told me it wasn’t her problem.

I tried calling their store for 3 days straight, even 5 hours in a row one day because I do not have transportation and I could not believe someone would let their phone ring when people’s lives are on the line with their prescriptions. My grandmother takes pills to keep her alive and that’s not important to the people working in this establishment. How do I know? I walk in to Rite Aid and the pharmacy employees are standing there talking to each other. This lazy, vile behavior and an overall sorry excuse for a community pharmacy.

Management chronically short-staffs the pharmacy at the expense of the workers (who have done nothing wrong and are good at their jobs) and at the expense of the customers. Classic case of corporate greed causing a collapse in efficiency and morale.

Horrible pharmacy. Go somewhere else it's not worth it. Doesn't answer the phone. Took 3 days to receive urgent need medication. Said they would text me when it's ready and they didn't. Had to keep going in person to check. Each day they said by the end of the day and failed to deliver. Boo!

Totally understaffed. You will wait days for urgent medications and the one person working there. No one will pick up the phone and no one know when your medicine is ready.

Waited 30 minutes in line to be told that they still haven't processed my prescription that was sent on Wednesday. Pharmacist says they're understaffed, that should not be our problem. Avoid if you value your time.

Haven't been able to get anyone on the phone (even to put me on hold) in over 15 min. Even tried front end line to confirm if location was still even open. States 24 hours and it is only 7pm.

Cannot get through to the pharmacist by phone. Have been this way for the past 6 months. Have had to go in person to check on my prescriptions and refills. Clearly, it is not the pharmacists. They are just too busy and short staffed to pick up the phone. In person, the pharmacists provide excellent service. This is on the company and not the pharmacists. Really lousy customer experience.

Worst service! Less than 1 star. Wish there were negative stars! Consistently fails to answer the phone. Lose Rxs, fail to enter information into the app, claim to have delivery service for meds, but offer NO WAY to make that happen. My child is a student at CMU and came down with COVID twice now; first time this Rite Aid REFUSED to give the Rx to the roommate, so my sick child had to show up in person WITH COVID infection and this time they lost two Rxs (OR they took over 36 hours and 3 seperate Rx requests to fill) a time sensitive Rx! Retrain the staff at this location! Teach staff to answer the phones and automate the Rx system so Rx shows up as soon as they arrive from the Drs. The other Rite Aids nearby answer their phones and at least tried to help, but because this location failed to record the Rx when delivered they couldn't fill it. Worst Rite Aid experience in 5 states!

We recently moved from CVS to this Rite Aid. The store is great; the pharmacy is absolutely deplorable. I have yet to have one prescription filled without having to come in, in person, to ask for it (this is after the prescription has been called in). Then the wait time is minimum one hour for something as simple as antibiotics. As I type this, I have been on hold with the pharmacy for over 45 minutes. You have exactly zero chance of reaching the pharmacy directly during business hours; it requires calling the store and asking to be transferred. The pharmacists themselves are rude, harried and extremely annoyed at their own customers. Shame on us for moving things over; today was the last straw.

Worst rite aid in PGH. They will never answer the phone & always have a hard time filling any and all prescriptions. Due to my insurance, I’m limited to the pharmacy’s I can use. If you ever need to call them, don’t bother. They won’t answer. I asked them if there phones were working & they work just fine. I feel bad for really sick patients who have to deal with this as well. Very unprofessional. The pharmacist working today has shown no sense of urgency, even considering there are multiple people in rite aid waiting at this very moment. I feel bad for the tech working, seems like he is picking up a ton of slack. This place needs help!!

If I could give negative ten stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I can’t get ahold of anyone on the phone and end up going to the store twice (because there is always a problem on their end) just to pick up one prescription. This is the final straw…they are “out” of a medicine I NEED to take daily and I can’t reach anyone to give me status updates. If I wait a week, I will run out of medicine and run the risk of having serious health problems. Good luck if you choose to use this pharmacy!

The store side of this pharmacy is great the pharmacy staff themselves are very lazy. Anytime you ask for your prescription it seems as if it is this massive burden to do there jobs. They are also very rude to there customers. They never have your prescriptions filled on time. They notify you that a prescription is available when it is in fact not. When you complain about an employee that seems to be the issue the manager just says sorry we are so busy when in fact there has not been one single customer in the 25 minutes that I waited to have a prescription verified that it should be here.No one every answers the phone so if you have a question you would be better off waiting for a "cold day in hell!!"Rite Aid you should be ashamed that you call this one of your stores o r maybe mandate some sort of customer service training.Rite Aid should consider clearing house.

My wife visited your store to buy grabber hand warmers. She was extremely freezing because of the extreme weather. The cashier (#2748175, Marilyn?) refused to accept her payment because she didn't have any change for cash. After my wife insisted, she finally gave the change for the payment.Because she was extremely freezing, she asked the cashier to assist her to open the wrapper. Once again, she rejected it by saying "it's not my job." I don't understand why in the unideal situation with bad weather, the simple request was ignored impolitely by the cashier. However, we have a very good lesson today that RiteAid may not have any care for the condition of the customers, only for the comforts and the money you may get from the customer.Never visit this store if you want to be respected as a person

Used this pharmacy for a long time, but now I can never get anyone on the phone in the pharmacy, no matter what time of day I call, to confirm if prescriptions have arrived or refills are being put together. Nor do they and my provider seem be able to get on the same page about my medications.I've nearly not gotten refills on schedule for psychiatric medication that I'm told can have some gnarly withdrawal effects if I stop taking it multiple times now. Sad, because this location is on the route I drive home from work on each day, but I think I'm going to have to try another pharmacy soon. This one has gotten ridiculously frustrating to work with.

I wish I could give this pharmacy 0 stars. The store is fine but the pharmacy has not refilled my rx on time all year. This weekend I needed to pick it up and they have just packed up and closed early every day. The cashiers don’t even know why. My doctor was unable to get them all weekend a few months ago and now again my rx was called in Friday at 8am but not filled and pharmacy closed at 5pm on Sunday. My Rite Aid in Clairton always has my meds filled half an hour later. These people don’t seem to care if they ever fill it. I am never texted anything re: status of my meds. The pharmacist last time was extremely rude and ignored me until I said “Excuse me??” She acted like I was interrupting her entire day. I work in health care and would be fired for treating patients in this manner. The last time I also had called and the tech told me my meds were filled at a Rite Aid # store she had never heard of. I checked. It was this one as I had thought. Honestly I swear they were trying to get out of filling my rx and doing their job. That’s the single time they have answered the phone in 6 years but at least they used to fill prescriptions and not pack up and leave without informing store hours. The whole pharmacy is disgusting and I will never use this Rite Aid again.
