🏆 WINNER! WINNER!🏆🏅🎖️🥇🙌🏻I have never known someone as knowledgeable and passionate about birds! This is a one in a million shop! Looks are very deceiving…. Yes it’s an old Millvale storefront, rough, and inside is small and crowded some, cluttered up a bit, but that’s because all the time and love go into the birds and educating customers! I am so glad we went! I took my daughter with me and our two conures. Their claws were very long and I wanted to clip their wings and ask about their beaks. This older gentleman that has devoted his life’s work to his store, was amazing! He knows birds like the back of his hand. He knows how to handle them and taught us how to better approach them and not be scared of bites. He taught us how to hug and pet them… which made our conures so very happy! They’ve bonded with us a lot more since! They’ve stopped biting us as much and are more interested in us now. He informed us of their proper dietary needs and toys. He even let me daughter hold a Macaw!!! She was soooooo proud and excited and grateful! My daughter really took to him and same for him with her. He could tell she was very interested in birds and learning about them. He was impressed with her. My only fear is that this shop could close one day upon his retirement or death. I sincerely pray this man has an apprentice or something because he’s the only one around that is authentic and genuine and built on old school values. Heck, if there isn’t a way to keep it going, sir, I’d be willing! You let us in 10 minutes to closing time, then happily spent the next hour or so with us and the birds, teaching us and explaining everything! Thank you!

Don has always been very polite and great with my birds. He answers my questions and is teaching me a lot about proper care of my babies. I’ve seen him handle birds that even the owner couldn’t handle. Bird whisperer

This place helped me get a rescue Gray. There are wonderful bird toys less expensive by far than many other places I have been to. The bird food he sells is so great...my bird loves it, picky about other food. Plus, the owner is such a nice person.

Got our baby cockatiel from here who turned out to be a bird version of a human. The reason for that is she is too smart to be a bird. The store has the best bird foods for cockatiel and other birds.

Don is an absolute Bird Guru, and he and his wife are super nice. Incredibly knowledgeable and never tells you anything without giving you describing it to you sensibly. Best around. Wouldnt take my birds for their beak and claw trimming or do my bird shopping anywhere else. He teaches me something I didnt know on a regular basis and for that I am very thankful as it helps me to give them a great life.

He killed my African grey. I took her there for wing and nail clip. He bumped her head off of his desk and she died 10 minutes later. I will NEVER forgive what you did to my bird who I loved with my whole heart. You acted as if you had no idea what happend. You are the worst. You weren't even apologetic. I wish you the worst karma ever for making me feel this way and losing my baby who trusted me so much

Very knowledgeable and Friendly he cares about all birds and will tell you if you are doing something wrong (or right)!! He cares more for the birds than the humans which makes it a great place to go!! Also I like how he lets his birds roam free yes there might be bird poop cause that’s what they do but the birds seem Happy and well taken care of!!! I travel over 40 minutes to get my guys trimmed and get their ABBA food!!Thanks Don for caring for our feathered friends!! 🐦

We took our 2 parakeets here to clip their wings. They spent an hour with us showing us how to train them and gave us so much amazing information. I am so appreciative, and we will definitely be back for all of our bird needs.

I take my Cocktoo to get his nails and beak done. He is very comfortable with my bird and Cody loves him. He gives him so much attention and plays with him after he is done. I feel very confident with him and would refer him to others and he is knowledgeable with his birds.

The wonderful owner helped me learn how to tame a cockatiel that we didn't even purchase from him. In less than 2 weeks, the bird is hand tame, gives kisses, and loves to be petted. So grateful for his expertise!

I recommend this company more than any other. I have a blue and gold that is 30 years old and was not properly taken care of due to difficult circumstances. I took BJ to Don and he was wonderful with him. Also wonderful with me, the crazy bird mom now of BJ. Even when I got home and called him back to ask questions about his diet, Don was wonderful. The gentleman was very rude about everything. Tried to tell me that what I knew about birds and what I feed them is wrong. He had some of the fattest birds I have ever seen, after claiming he has never had a day bird on his high seed diet. The area with the birds was crowded and filthy, looks to have not been cleaned in months. Very arrogant and rude. Will not be returning to this place EVER.

It is conveniently close to my house, and I was received with a warm greeting. The owner knows his birds and one can tell that all the birds in that place love and trust him... I have only been inside that place once for approximately 20 minutes and I am horrible at remembering names or I would have given the proper props... 👍👍
