I normally go to Petco for the cats food (Core tasters). Our Waterfront Petco was out of the food leaving me to come to this one. I was happy I did. The staff was beyond friendly and professional.I found what I needed without any help from staff (which in NC I couldn't, they moved things around a lot.)The store was not as busy as one would think either. I was in and out in five minutes.If your a pet owner, give them a shot and try them!

I am not reviewing any particular location. Been a member for a long time. Use their app so they can track food purchases, every 9th bag is free. Not a bad deal.Long story short, they've lost all our information. We are not members, don't belong to the food loyalty program, etc. On the phone with customer service forty minutes, extremely difficult for me to understand her English, end result was all is fixed, everything is recovered and good news, your next bag is free. Give the app 24 hours to update.So yeah..... nothing changed. The app never reflected this recovery, the store can't find me at all, and so on. Tried customer service one more time. What a comedy show. Well you're not a member, only members get a free bag. OMG, just shoot me. Bye Bye Petco

I debated writing this but it really irritated me so why not. I brought my 5 year old here about 2-3 weeks ago now to get some fish. I grabbed a temporary container and other things that would be needed as we got the tank setup. The guy that actually got us the fish was very nice, and seemed VERY knowledgeable as I overheard him helping other guests. We go into line which was quite literally halfway into the store with how busy it was. As we SLOWLY got closer to the register a worker there starts yelling from the hamster cages to one of the cashiers that she needs her off register IMMEDIATELY. Meanwhile we've waited in line 30 minutes at this point. There was a dead hamster in the cage that the lady had just grabbed one out of for a girl to take home. This worker did the honor system by asking the girl if she was 18 (she looked very young) instead of asking for ID. That worker then hopped on register right when it was my turn to checkout, I didn't get a hi how are you I got "phone number" in a very annoyed tone, I gave it and started putting my things up she goes "you're not seriously putting these fish in here are you" again annoyed tone to which I replied "yes for now" she then goes "they'll be dead in 3 days" in front of my 5 year old who can understand what she's saying. I then explained this is a temporary home for a temporary situation and that I don't appreciate her saying that in front of my child. She just kept on with saying that many fish (3) would die in there blah blah. I will never be coming back here. My child now thinks everything we do will kill his fish. 🙄 Selling someone an animal when one is lying dead right next to it and lines that take literally 45 minutes to get through to then be degraded by an employee? (Possibly the manager the way she was acting all high and mighty) No thanks. The fish guy with the long blonde hair and way more knowledge than the rude lady saw no problem with TEMPORARILY keeping fish in a TEMPORARY container 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ petsmart from here on out. I wish I would've got names but I was so irritated I just wanted out of there. This lady had longer dark hair and looked to be in her late 30's.

Love this store!! BUT, no longer will I take my children there. This has always been a pet store, a store for your pets. Not a store for kids toys. I walk into the store with my two children and we are greeted with Legos. Why Legos at a pet store? Whose bright idea was that? The meltdowns that occurred for not getting my kids a toy at the pet store is ridiculous. My little one has been crying all afternoon because I wouldn't let her get a toy at the pet store. Please go back to being a pet store, not a store for kids toys. This isn't fair to parents who just want to go to the pet store and do not anticipate having deny toys right off the bat. This was not a good idea. A quick trip to get bunny food turned into a major ordeal. Thanks for the afternoon headache!

Very clean store. With alot of items for your pets of any kind. Even for the larger dogs.. I have a golden retriever and in my town they only have clothes for the small dogs..Variety of pets to adopt..Staff is absolutely amazing and caring.

Somehow we have two different rewards accounts and when i called was told they would be combined and a couple of coupons would be emailed. Never received and apparently, never happened. Called today and was now told vital care rewards have expired and the accounts can't be merged.

They are always polite and nice, a bit too aggressive on the upsell programs at the register. Once someone says no it should be noted to your account so I don't have to answer the same question every other week.

Wondering why their whole grooming department quit.? We had the best groomer to grind my pugs nails. It seems odd to me they all quit which makes me skeptical to continue to use their service. Also they made it extremely hard to even use that service cause it’s never open & they are all in training.

Thrilled with my visit, took my granddaughter to get her bday wish 2 guinea pigs. The customer service was outstanding, talked us through everything we would need. Didn't try to add extra or push items on us.Gave us advice and recommendations. Spent an hour with us making sure we were happy with all our purchases and even came to the register to make sure we got all our available discounts.Will def return to shop here.

Not that bad for a chain pet store. The employees are always nice. The reptile care is okay, it could use some improvements but I have seen much worse at other stores. I like that they still carry reptile brands like Zilla, Zoo Med, and Exo Terra. Sometimes you can catch good deals on the products too! Petsmart mostly just has Thrive now and I'm not really into that brand.

I enrolled both of my dogs in training classes here. The instructor, Hannah, is great. She does a wonderful job of setting up routines which I can practice with my dogs daily. I recommend these classes to any dog owners.

Friendly staff and lots of things to look at. Large selection of food, treats and everything else you could need for your pets. My cats love the cat litter that they offer in bulk.I also learned this past visit that I can buy a tarantula here, I'm not going to but like that I can.

Found a good variety of dog collars and dog bathing/ de-odorizing products. I didn't find the type of large dog bed I was looking for - close, but not quite right. Found one I preferred elsewhere.

Always have everything I'm looking for, the employees there are always wonderful to deal with and this last time I signed up for vital care at 10 bucks a month and ended up saving 20 through the perks of it because we added two guinea pigs to our household! Friendly people, clean store, great deals and always just enjoy coming here!
