Went here for the first time today on the recommendation of our trainer. Great local store with an attentive staff who are great for providing advice. We were able to find what we needed. We will definitely be back, it’s wonderful to have a local store where we can pick up needed supplies.

I just wanted to give a huge public shout out to the staff at Petagogy today. They were so kind to me and my new rescue pup Adora, who is still quite nervous with new humans after leaving a hoarding situation. As a first time dog parent, their guidance on picking and using the right harness for our girl (as well as their ability to put her at ease and gently and politely advocate for other guests to give her space while she was practicing being in a new location) meant the world to me. I absolutely recommend Petagogy for anyone who wants a safe, welcoming space to help their nervous pup acclimate -- let alone the wonderful selection of toys, supplies, and gear! Thanks again!

Best pet store in Pittsburgh! Staff is so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They keep a fantastic variety of food, toys, treats and so much more, and my dog loves all of it! You also truly cannot beat their prices, which is hard to believe when matched with such great service and quality products. Highly recommend this store for all pet lovers!

Great healthy offerings and good toys for our pets. Prices are reasonable and very comparable with Amazon. You would be supporting a local pet shop too. They have a rewards loyalty program so you’ll get discount after a few purchases. Parking is easy to find on streets. Plus there’s a great vet place and Thai place right across the street from here as well.

this is my favorite pet store in the Pittsburgh area! they are such a cute little shop but still have a very good diverse selection for dogs/cats (not sure about other species). pricing is decent and not outrageous. staff are extremely friendly and helpful. dogs are allowed in the store (not sure about cats). the first time I was there they were giving away free ice cream to every dog so it seems like they do things like that occasionally! overall I 150% recommend Petagogy any day and plus when you shop here you are supporting a local business at the same time so it's a win win for everyone!!

I cannot recommend this store enough. I was told about it by a friend when I got a new puppy, and I've been hooked ever since. I find excuses to stop by whenever I'm close.The staff is fantastic: friendly, funny, helpful, supportive.The selection is incredible: there is yet to be a single thing I've needed that they didn't have.Even a good location: street (paid) parking is usually easy.If you have a four-footed family member, you can't do any better than Petagogy.

Really kind and helpful staff. They clearly care about both pets and customers alike. Also, we bought two metal bowls from this place for our dog. The same metal bowls at Petland were actually a dollar more. Generally I think of supporting local businesses as a good, albeit usually more expensive, practice, but in this case I was proven wrong. They not only ensure quality and high levels of customer service and satisfaction, but also fair prices. Plus, they gave us tons of free samples since we're new dog owners. Great place, truly.

These folks are the best! Alli and David are always looking out for me and Beelz (my pup.) David even came through with a special delivery for Beelz when I was stuck at the office and couldn't make it to the store before they closed. What a unique find! Knowledgeable service, clean store, plenty of selection for your dog or cat. My friend and I are working class, but we've found a brand we liked and it's a good investment for your little one to eat well.For the record, I like to buy Fromm (the clerk offered me 2 samples to try and my dog absolutely loved the pork applesauce flavor), which is considerably cheaper at Petagogy than Amazon prices. Went there for the first time. The staff was very helpful and informative answered all my questions, even took time explain the best ways to switch my beagle puppy to a raw diet, and all the brands and raw products they have. Helped with buying a harnesses and everything else I will not go anywhere else now.

Wonderful little shop. The owners are employees are so friendly and kind. The selection includes the highest quality products. Really broad selection, too. They're willing to special order items. Their prices are definitely higher than what you'd pay at Petsmart but supporting a local business and buying the highest quality products for my dog is 100% worth it, in my opinion.
