Michaela helped me pick out a wide variety of plants for gifts for my family and friends. I live in mars Pa and I drive specifically to this giant eagle. When I went in Ashe F assisted me with finding herbs for my garden. Thanks 100% for the help. They both deserve a raise. They were both extremely efficient and communicative during the whole process.

Large variety of groceries like a normal grocery store but I like the fact that it rivals Walmart with better selections of freshness so you don’t have to worry about something being stale or expired. They have a lot of stations like the deli, fresh meat, fresh made meal options, freshly made sushi, fresh deserts, and etc. I also love the fact that they have a lobster tank for you to choice a live lobster for dinner. They have a flower shop. Also a bank and pharmacy and so much more.

This is one of my favorite market District locations. One of the benefits is that it has covered parking which is great for when it is raining. I always used to enjoy talking with the cheese monger who actually special ordered me cheese whenever they stopped stocking my favorite type of cheese. I also really love the hot sauce selection here. There’s always a great selection and something new.

My recent experience at the Market District Giant Eagle was incredibly disappointing and distressing. While shopping, I was unjustly accused of stealing and subjected to the threat of police intervention. Not only was I demanded to present a receipt, but I was also prevented from leaving the store. This type of treatment is unacceptable and deeply concerning. No customer should be treated in such a hostile manner while simply trying to shop. It's imperative for businesses to uphold principles of respect and dignity for all patrons. I hope the management takes immediate action to address these issues and ensures that such incidents do not occur again in the future.---

I love shopping here. The only suggestion I would make is keeping the scan and go kiosk available even after hours. Makes it easier to get in and out. You can use the scanner to scan the barcode at the self checkout as well as the dedicated scan and go area so it doesn't make any difference if they keep this option open, in my opinion. It's so much easier to scan, drop your groceries in your bag as you shop and then leave.

It was great! The playlist made it difficult to resist dancing and singing. So, I gave in and sang and danced as my boyfriend shopped. It sparked an entire segment on whether embarrassment is choice. We did agree that frozen food prices are generally high.

This supermarket is my regular, the staff are friendly and variety of product is great. They have “Giant Eagle” brand items that are less expensive than the main brand but still tasteful. This placating also includes: A wine/alcohol cellar, Starbucks, Hackett, deli, and much more!Will come many times again!

I love this place. It’s always clean and the check out people are always friendly. I was about to lose $15 if I didn’t use my points and the checkout person let me know that the points and $15 were going to expire in a day. Thank you for taking out the time to tell me.

It’s a great supermarket with a very large selection of everything you could want or need! Have a nice “Whole Foods” “farmers market” organic feel to it too. I’ve rarely seen a larger ice cream selection anywhere, the bakery is phenomenal, great fresh produce, candy selection and dairy, also the meats department is pretty darn good…I do have to say that the Carnegie Shop n Save still has it beat by a pretty good margin with their bakery and meats, their butcher is a true superstar!!! 🤩 Oh and the prices too! That’s the main reason I cannot give 5 stars, Market District is just undeservingly and exponentially more expensive than ANY of the competition! Stuff that you can get at Walmart that is the identical product can often be had for nearly half the price at Walmart and as I said even Shop n Save usually has them beat by a couple dollars and even their own parent company Giant Eagle sells the exact same things for less!! Is the premium for the more upscale atmosphere?? They can keep it! I do have to say that it’s nice that it’s at least open till 11pm! (Same as Walmart) and psst…((Carnegie SnS is open till midnight!))

The store is clean and beautiful but the people who work there are very rude. Well most of them. I have had a few that were nice... Well nice enough. And the store is always absolutely a zoo. I don't know why this store is always so packed but there are times when the entire 2 level parking garage is full along the the parking lot! I've had every bit of 20-25 people ahead of me in line for the self checkout. Luckily there are I think 7-9 registers in the self-checkout so the line moves pretty quickly. But the u friendly staff is why I only gave 3 stars.(Photo- how far back the isle the line was)

Parking is always miserable. The store is nicely laid out, but the prices are a lot higher than the comparable stores around the area. Giant Eagle has somehow continued to raise prices on everything, while other stores seem to be lowering them. I always shopped at Giant Eagle growing up, but at this point I prefer Aldi's or Trader Joe's.

The District Market on Center Avenue has always struck me as a top-notch place. It's a destination that entices you to spend time browsing through its aisles. It's not overwhelming like a Sam's or Walmart, but it is spacious, and you can find a wide variety of offerings. However, I noticed that their section for cheese, pickles, olives, and antipasti has significantly diminished, which was one of my favorite spots. Even so, it still deserves recognition as a go-to place for shopping and finding everything you need without feeling overwhelmed.

Such a crazy building. Never been to one with a car port area and a garage!!! It was a quick visit after a doctors visit. Friendly staff. I like it. I think!! I wish I lived closer so I could go again to learn it.

Another 25 minutes in line due to incompetent and poorly trained team members. If giant Eagle didn't have getgo they'd be Kroger. I may go to GE 3 times a year and EVERY TIME it's a terrible experience from abhorrent customer service to uneducated team members. What a joke! Bill Artman, if you see this understand that starting over is ok! You've lost Pittsburgh!

What a zoo today! Lots of people trying to check out but not a lot of cashiers so the lines were long and tempers short! Lots of yelling and people causing a scene. I so much prefer Aldi.Same as it ever was.

Prices have gotten out of sight, we drive out to Walmart every two or three weeks and we load up. Not having plastic bags was another reason to shop outside the city.

It is a complete market where you can easily buy everything you would have thought of. The groceries are well lay out and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The customer services are great.
