This is my family’s favorite pet store. It’s definitely our dog’s favorite too! She loves meeting all the friendly people who work there, especially when they give her water and free treat samples!The products are often better than what we have gotten at chain pet stores and the prices are amazing.They offer boarding for small pets too!This is definitely the go to pet store in the east side of Burgh. I may be biased as I am married to Ryan, and we have known Brad for many many years, but I love this little store! Even if I didn't know them, I'm sure by the end of a first visit I would. They are both knowledgeable in many different animal care aspects. They have high quality foods, toys, litter (I want to cry when they are out of my favorite one!), treats, and more. Make sure to stop in and say hi! You may even get to see one of the visiting foster cats up for adoption!

Super convenient location. It always saves me a trip on the bus(which would end up taking an hour).A few times I’ve asked the owner to special order items and he did.I always feel good supporting a local business.I try to shop here as much as possible.They have a good selection- for cats: freeze dried raw food, canned food, dry food, treats, litter, toys, etc for dogs: lots of Fromm’s, poop bags w/handles, treats,toys, etc. that’s what I buy.I also I noticed that they have some stuff for guinea pigs.

What an amazing place. A local gem. The owner always offers your dog a treat which is off the bat a great sign, and a long lost custom of the bigger dog chains. For being a small local shop, they have all the newest trendiest dog toys. My dog never let's me walk past Local Pet without stopping in, which is hurting me financially so I should only give them 4 stars 🤣. We're blessed to have Local in the neighborhood

One of the best pet stores in the City! The owner has been in the business for decades and has in-depth knowledge of nutrition, small animal and exotic pet husbandry, and general stuff that pets love! I've been very pleased with the information I've been provided and the purchases I've made. Highly recommend.

The location in regent square is super convenient and is just what the area needed! Customer service is excellent, good affordable selection for a local store, well worth the premium if doing anything in the area. Now all we're missing is an Indian restaurant... 😆

First impression was great. Has all the basics and more. Because they have unwrapped sausages at mouth level right at the entrance, I bought a bit more than planned- so I'll come back often to work on 'leave it'.

Brad and Ryan are fantastic and knowledgable in all things pets! The inventory they have, the willingness to special order items, and the down home feel of the store will keep you coming back! Not to mention Tonto the store bird and all of the animals they board!

I stopped by hoping that they might soon carry the insanely durable ball chew toy, made in Erie Pennsylvania, called One Leg Up. I left really happy that I met such a cool employee who was very knowledgeable about products and pets. Thanks Local Pet!

I board my blue crown conure here when I go away (and did at the previous shop, Smiley's Pet Pad). CoCo was treated so kindly and professionally that I was always comfortable boarding her there. Great bird hotel!
