Great place with friendly people. The doggies being dropped off love the staff and that should be enough of a testimonial.Jeff was real patient and careful with Bhim who has never been professionally groomed. They also accommodated a sitter bringing him in. See before and after pics of how they were able to make Bhim look more like an actual bichón frisé. All the curly matted fur was patiently combed and trimmed.Jeff also has some helpful long term advice for making grooming easier in the future. 10/10 recommend bringing your dog and sitting in the waiting area to play/pet other happy doggies.

I’ve taken my dog here 3 times. Once he was apparently fantastic but when picking him up they allowed a reactive dog to go out on the floor unleashed and he started to try to attack my dog. I took him back a few months later just because it cheap and close. As I’m watching the groomer take care of him she’s yanking on his legs to cut his nails instead of positive reinforcement with treats. This time I took him in for a full groom. The groomer was extremely rude and wasn’t not even petting him and kept looking at him like he was broken. He is a rescue pit/cattle dog mix. He is extremely well trained but still under 3 so I understand he was still wanting to play. I come to pick him up to find out he apparently was trying to bite the groomer during everything but the bath. I have had this dog at multiple other groomers over the two years I’ve had him and contacted the rescue I got him from to see if this was in his history. It wasn’t. Their groomers clearly aren’t trained and definitely are biased against rescues. Will NOT be back.

Too busy scrubbing dogs to get a pic of the baths, but here they are after!Staff are kind and supportive, and manage every dog's needs very well. There is an enclosed entrance, so the floor can be cleared if any entering dogs aren't a fan of meet and greets with other dogs.Every time I've gone, there's been a nail tech available to clip my difficult dogs' nails after the bath for a really reasonable fee.

Jeff and Arlene took awesome care of Pepper for her first “big girl” haircut! (she’s had two puppy grooms, but never more than 1” off the body at once). She’s in a very nervous phase at 7 months, but they gave her an excellent cut.I would not recommend the DIY bath unless your dog is extremely laidback; it's a lot going on for young/nervous dogs. If you do, definitely bring your own brush for long-coated dogs.

Very very nice people. The owner and groomers alike. They really go above and beyond and do a terrific job. Highly recommend. I love the fact that they dont use crates.

I have historically had wonderful experiences with Lather. I enjoyed their customer experience so much so that I had referred many customers, tagged them on Instagram posts, and even left a 5 star review on your Google business page, which I rarely do. but after sending an email to the owner I never received any follow up.Mid 2022 my miniature schnauzer, Chino, had a new groomer. Based on my positive experiences up until that point I accepted the change without hesitation. When I returned to pick him up, she explained that she had to shave him because he was “matted”. Shocked, I accepted the news; although she essentially scolded me for his brushing habits.I can understand education and tips, but as someone who provides these services there’s a tactful approach.Practically embarrassed, I decided to prove this groomer wrong. Purchasing multiple brushes, at home items, and most costly, adding a mid scheduled shampoo and blow dry with trim. Here and there he needed simple care each time since he was sheared like a sheep. Last cut she said he was a lot better and that the brushing was going well.Due to the holidays I believe my mid appointment was missed and he was brought in this evening. The groomer came out and told me he was matted in two spots so she was going to have to shave him shorter again. However, when I picked him up, not only was he cut incredibly short, he was sheared down unevenly- leaving the cut to look rushed. After these two negative experiences I will not be returning. I cannot justify being charged $65 dollars for not only a horrible grooming job but also poor customer service and treatment. I understand the business has grown tremendously, and I applaud that. However, in their scaling efforts... the quality has diminished, which is inexcusable.

i have historically come to lather with my own and friends dogs, and enjoyed the convenience of the self-wash service. recently, i rescued a dog from the shelter that is pretty timid and wanted to introduce him to a pleasant experience of bathing him. the first time i brought him in, he did really well and the associate there was an extremely helpful and knowledgeable young lady. she wasn’t too much and was readily available if i asked for help. which is exactly how it should be.yesterday was my dogs second time there, and in the midst of getting him wetted up there was a gentleman that was very clearly the owner as he was micromanaging everyone around him and everything too. he came over and started cleaning around us, which is fine but with my dog only being there a second time i could tell my dog was nervous with this larger man repeatedly coming over and wiping surfaces or moving the items we were using. he then felt the unnecessary need to come over and tell me i should have taken my dogs collar off. i told him that i chose to keep it on. no further explanation needed. he then continued to clean around us. when i moved on to blow drying my dog, my dog very noticeably was struggling with the blow dryer just as he did the first time.. but with feeding him treats while doing it i was trying to enforce the need for the dryer to be on the higher level and reward my dog for enduring it in short spurts. the gentleman came over, yelling that i should turn the dryer down and turned it down for me. which again - i understand that my dog was uncomfortable with the higher level of dryer but he has a thick second coat and it would have taken me an hour to dry him with the dryer on the lower level. regardless.. the gentleman’s inability to mind personal space and lack of boundaries with the client is exactly why we unfortunately will not be returning. he was rather pushy and on top of that not very welcoming which is a shame because all of his staff are really pleasant and seem to be great workers. i hope this is taken as valuable feed-back to prevent others from turning away from this business as well.

Do NOT go here with your pet. Worst experience I have ever had with the owner Jeff . I used the self service equipment and every time I went to get COMPLIMENTARY treats for my Great Dane he took them away from me- telling me the treats were not to give to my dog like a full meal. This is laughable if you know what a “full meal” is for a Great Dane. He also told me to turn the water off not to waste hot water when I was trying to wash shampoo out of my dog and stood directly behind me sweeping my feet any time a little water would get out of the tub. I have a dog who is very anxious so being able to give him treats is necessary. If you don’t want to offer these for your self service clients then don’t put them out. I seriously don’t know how this place stays open.

Had no problems whatsoever loved the place real modern and nice plus well kept. Bathed 2 doodles and everything was up to par. Great soap great tubs and great dryers. It was a little hectic with dogs running around and got pretty loud while the groomers were bathing but I would definitely recommend and will be going again!

This place is amazing! Savannah has done an amazing job with our pup. We have a Norwegian Elkhound named Juju 🐺, and she sheds like crazy! We pay for the de-shedding and it is worth it! Juju is really shy but she took a liking to Savannah's kind demeanor, and is always in great spirits (and so fluffy and clean ) when we come to pick her up. Savannah took notes and remembers everything about Juju. It's a nice gesture and really shows that Lather cares ❤️

We love lather and so does our greyhound, JJ! We have had Tara every time that we go and she is so good at what she does - from start to finish she makes JJ comfortable and clean! The atmosphere is fun and playful and always clean. They even give cute bandanas to the pups when they are all done getting groomed!

The first few times I went I had wonderful experiences! However my most recent visit will be my last. When I brought my pup home I noticed her hair was uneven and she had a cut on her face near her nose. Lather brushed off my concerns. Like I said my first few experiences where good but the most recent visit was so bad I don’t feel comfortable taking my pup back ☹️☹️

did not treat my dog with patience or care - shampooed into his eyes. appt felt rushed. separate groomer was judgemental and talked about choking her dog. please do not go here for your animal's safety and comfort.

Took my doggy for a nail trim. They were fast, a little too fast. About a week later and you could already hear his nails click clacking on the ground again. Staff were nice though.

Really nice people, reasonable prices. Before my wife and I solved the puzzle of trimming our cat’s claws - we’d take her here. So much love and care in this place. Cat claw trims are convenient - they accept only walk-ins on weekdays - since weekends the shop is too full for cats to be comfortable. Always gave Opal a little kerchief for the road too. ❤️ Highly recommended!

I've brought my English bulldog to Lather four or five times now. Each time the groomers have done a fantastic job washing him and trimming his nails. He's fidgety and fights it whenever I try to trim his nails, so the fact that they get it done so neatly is a testament to their skill. The folks working the register are always friendly and helpful, the owner seems to genuinely appreciate his customers, and the business itself is spotlessly clean. They've definitely earned my repeat business.

Wonderful experience! Staff showed me how to use all the things. And they will do nail trim and glands while you're doing a DIY bath. Loved having all the equipment I needed right at my fingertips and not having to clean up. Highly recommend!

The are absolutely rude when it comes to feedback! DO NOT GO! I am so very angry right now. I never leave reviews but I must.I took my miniature poodle to get him groomed. The groomer explained that he was matted without actually running a brush through his coat. I agreed that if he was too matted, they could shave him low. I returned, thinking to myself that the cut was a bit low and that he was shaved down too much but did not comment. Why would I? They are professionals. That day, my dog was consistently anxious and scooting around. He would not let anyone touch him. I checked out his butt and saw that he was nicked.. It's been 4 days later and he still won't let anyone touch him, he wont leave his bed and he is constantly scooting his butt to get comfortable. I called Lather A Pet Bathhouse, in good spirits to just ask for advice on how to deal with this and they proceed to tell me that it is not a grooming problem and that they have never heard of dogs behaving like that. And oh! I am yelling at them.. My dog is traumatized to the point he won't leave the bed and I am yelling???? DO NOT even think about using these groomers. ..Oh and given that I am not the ONLY person with this complaint (see other reviews) you would think they would take ownership of this and at least offer some assistance. Which by the way was all I was asking for...

My golden puppy loved his bath here! I didn’t do self-serve but felt I was leaving him in good hands. Came back 75 minutes later with a double-washed, dried, trimmed, and much better smelling version of my pup! Will definitely return

Our first time at Lather yesterday was a success. Bear and Willow got their haircut by Tracey and she did a wonderful job. The place was very clean and all of the staff were friendly. The owner recognized that it’s our pups first birthday in a few days and gave them birthday bandanas which was adorable. We are looking forward to coming back in a few months!

My dog is a handful and everyone at Lather does a great job with her. The employees and the owner have so much patience. I like that they don't crate the dogs (unless it's totally necessary) and that they make it a playful environment. I've been taking my dog there for almost 2 years.

Great place. I have a large dog and don't have a great shower for cleaning her. This place gives me a place to wash her myself. They also carry misc. treats.

It’s a lovely space but I’m just wondering, has the ownership changed? We had been several times before Covid, and had great experiences. Then we started going again recently, and it’s a whole different vibe.I have an anxious dog, and we have worked with lovely people there, but there are two specific people also working there who are kind of abrasive. Most recently, they seemed overbooked, and there was a lot of yell-talking across the echoey space, which created a really loud, overstimulating, chaotic environment. Everyone looked stressed. It didn’t help that another dog was simultaneously getting yelled at for acting up while being groomed by one of themMy anxious dog was so stressed while getting her nails trimmed, she acted up much more than usual and the sweet person grooming her couldn’t finish. I will be looking for a new spot that will hopefully have a calmer environment. I hate to hurt anybody’s small business, but it’s just felt a bit chaotic there lately. It also seems like maybe their online booking system is not working for them. I wish the best for them!

On my last self bathing visit to Lather I had an amazing experience largely due to the incredible, caring, attentive assistance from Eel. Eel is everyone’s best employee! She was helpful and caring, offering assistance without being asked. She went so far as to sit with my first dog once I had finished her and started on my second. She is a game changer for this business. On previous visits I found the groomers and the owner just not welcoming or helpful. If they weren’t close and so well set up for self bathing I would have stopped going. Now after seeing the difference Eel makes in the experience I’ll continue as long as I know she’ll be in:)

Facility was clean/presentable and tubs were properly equipped. Products to wash your pet were garbage and very watered down. 3 girls working at the time, 2 were a bit pushy in their addressing us, telling us what they do (how we should do it) when washing a pet. I've had my dog for 8yrs, quite familiar in how to bathe my pet. I get trying to be helpful, but ask if help is needed, don't interject opinions. Bit expensive $23 just to do a basic wash, but not over the top. Definitely need better products though. Didn't know I could bring my own or I would have, that's my error. Location is on main street with nowhere for your pet to properly pee/poo.Not the best, but worked for last minute wash for Easter.

Took Codi for a D.I.Y bath. Everyone was very helpful being our first time. They even give you a bandana. He was a little hesitant getting in the tub,but very easy access with steps. Overall very happy with the experience and cost was reasonable. Will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at Lather today. Our 9 month old Bernese Mountain puppy has been fearful for days after going to the groomers in the past, but she left Lather as a happy girl! The staff were quick but diligent, gentle, and attentive. The environment was clean, and the prices were very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things- we will definitely be returning!

I just really needed someone to trim my cats nails: I discovered that Lather has walk-in days for this, everyone was great, I was in and out quickly. Other dogs getting groomed seemed happy and well-cared for. Friendly, super helpful, professional- definitely recommend.
