The staff was so kind and concerned about my sick cat, who isn't eating. The shop has an incredible variety of pet foods of all kinds, and the person waiting on us made several logical recommendations, and sold us a sampling of products. Our cat at least tasted some of them which gives us some hope for recovery. We were very pleased.

Cleanest dog wash in Pittsburgh. The workers are always super friendly and they don't rush you. We have a wheaten and she needs conditioner, a blow dry, and combing. They let us get everything done and only ever ask if we need anything. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I feel that we are lucky to have this pet store here in the South Side. They have a great selection and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I am a new cat owner and they always help me find the best products for their health and wellness. The boys love their new bed too

Definitely our new go to place for a self-serve dog wash! The products available were very nice, and the facility is super clean. The tubs are spacious and the height is great for easy washing. The associates were very friendly and Freyja enjoyed shopping for a treat after!

This shop has multiple very friendly workers and an amazing variety of organic and healthy treat options for dogs as well as cats! The biggest thing I love about this shop is that they have a ton of toys safe for dogs who are chewers that aren't $20-$40. They also offer food samples if you're looking to switch brands.

Love to come with my own dog. I’ve been coming intermittently since 2022 for both cat and dog supplies, and they are awesome! We are looking forward to trying the DIY bath stations in the future.

Great place for dog needs! We’ve been coming here since we first got our pup and 6 months later, we still do. I’ll never forget how great and friendly the staff was when I was getting first time dog owner stuff ready for my pup coming home. The Staff helped me pick out the right crate size, play pen, food, and toys. Glad I found this place and it’s great staff members that genuinely care for pets.

Absolutely amazing. Way better than last management of the prior company. If only they stayed open longer. It’s a struggle getting my pets washed with early closings.This place is a godsend. The little fog park next to it is splendid. This place is very beneficial to the community. The staff are great too

We had a great time at the National Dress Up Your Dog Day event supporting Furkid rescue today. The staff was so friendly and kind. We were impressed with the variety of food and items in the store. They also have a pet wash station which we appreciate.

My cat, Stinky, is quite particular in the food that's acceptable to consume. She was very disappointed when her favorite crunchy dry food changed their recipe.The store associate was able to provide excellent recommendations on different high quality dry foods.

Pet People is a great little spot at the SouthSide Works. The staff seems to really care and are always so kind to our pets. The store is clean and bright and happy. We used the self wash for our one difficult dog (he's next to impossible to wash at home) for the first time and it was incredibly clean and well appointed. $16 is much more reasonable than the $75 we paid a large chain. It's a wonderful spot filled with animal lovers.

Best self-service dog wash in the city! Better than Lather, half the price.Super friendly staff answering any questions while plying my pupper with complimentary treats during check-out or at the bath. This store is such a gem. Currently a $10 discount on soresto collars and a great collection of healthy dog chews, including frozen marrow bones.

Went here with my family, just to look around. Unfortunately this store mostly feels like it's mad for dogs. Their selection for cat toys and other things is VERY small and delegated to a corner. They had Halloween costumes for dogs, but none for cats, which is disappointing. And I know some will say 'cats can wear the dog costumes', they can, but it's difficult since cats are generally built smaller than dogs. They didn't even have many cat treats, but thankfully the dry and wet food selections are pretty evenly distributed.

The only person happier than me to have this in our neighborhood is my dog. The only thing better than the selection is the staff. We come here for food, treats, toys, beds, and sometimes just to visit- my dog loves everything here and wants to say hello every day. The dog wash has greatly improved my life, but the dog might disagree with that part.

I took my dog here to bathe him and I have never experienced a better self serve dog wash! You get 13 baths for 15.99! Plus they have treats you can give your dog while they are getting a bath and ear cleaning solution with cotton balls! On top of all of that the employees are amazing. I accidentally forgot my dogs collar there after his bath, within 10 minutes i received a call to let me know. When I got back to the store there was no parking and I stopped outside the store looking for a spot, but the employee came out with my dog’s collar because she noticed us outside the store! Amazing experience!

We recently started purchasing our food at this store after working with a behavioral trainer/nutrition specialist. I assumed a specialty store would not be within my budget. I am so pleasantly surprised at the prices for quality food, treats, and toys. Not only is the quality of the product great, so is the quality of the employee. Whether I am shopping alone or with my dog, I am always greeted immediately and offered assistance. The staff has recommended product, provided samples, and explained the benefits of the rewards program and return policy. Their kindness and expertise have made me a permanent customer!
