It's so nice, when you need one very specific nut to hold something in place, to go and get the right nut, with plastic locking mechanism.Big box store would have had it. But would have to get a box of them.Hastings is the place to go!

Honestly this place deserves all the credit one can give. It is seldom too crowded or busy, staff are wonderfully helpful and insightful, and this place has everything you could need for improvement and gardens.Every time I go I find exactly what I need (plus a few great other finds) and have a fun time looking at everything displayed around. It's just such a neat time. Be mindful about parking but know that you'll seriously enjoy every second you spend here. Dont delay, go to Hastings Hardware today!

They had the very last "stick weed whacker". (Unsure of the name, but I'm guessing you get it) Even holding the door for me, as they'd closed about 30 seconds ago.As always, I love the customer service I have gotten from them... for years 👍👍

This is the best hidden gem around! It is a small community hardware store with a huge selection of merchandise. Prices are a little more than the big box stores but definitely well worth the extra because of the one on one customer service. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and appreciative of your support and business! The store is always clean and organized. This place is a really cool spot to shop!

I love going to local Hasting Hardware. They have a good variety of options for home hardware items but more importantly they have friendly knowledgeable staff willing to help you. Such a great store! Wonderful employees who work there. I needed some screws for my car door (that the dealership didn’t put back in!) and after waiting months for the dealership to never order me new screws, I decided to go to Hastings Hardware. First time customer and the gentleman came out to my car to make sure I had the correct size to fit my door and he even put the missing screws back in the door for me. Such a nice guy! Super helpful. Highly recommend Hastings Hardware. Great prices for everything throughout the store. Thank you so much for a wonderful first visit to your store!

They may not have the giant stocked buildings like Home Depot or Lowe's, but they do have the friendliest, knowledgeable staff around. Prices are competitive and they're right in the neighborhood.

Great little hardware and lawn equipment servicing/sales. I shop here a lot because it's very close to my home when home depot is 10-15min depending on traffic. You can also be in and out of Hastings very quickly...all of the employees are very knowledgeable of where items are located and there is always someone there that can explain how to use/install/apply a product. If their not attending to a customer they will always greet you as you walk in and are willing to quickly point you in the right direction. Store has a smaller layout so your not walking hundreds of feet to get something. Being a smaller store they are limited in selection but 95% of the time they have what I'm looking for or have something that is similar. They have a small paint, stain and sealer section. Their spray paint section is decent tho, practically all the average colors, then some. Plus a decent painting tools selection for the average diy painter. I'd say they stock a lot of products/tools for gardening. Plumbing products are usually very well stocked, with a fairly wide variety of fittings. And of coarse they have hardware. If you don't see something on the shelf don't hesitate to ask because there is a good chance it's in their back storage room. As for their lawn equipment section in the back of the store. They stock practically everything needed to maintain your property and some tools that you didn't even know you needed. They also supply a lot of the areas landscaping businesses with equipent and equipment servicing. In the rare case they don't have the equipment you seek they have always been happy to order and assemble it, so it's ready to be put to work. Walk behind or riding lawnmowers, weed wackers, chain saws, edgers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers commercial and residential plus everything to keep them maintained and operational. They also do a great job of sharpening mower blades and there's usually a wait to get them back which is justifable. I recommend purchasing a few blades. That way I always have one on hand. If your equipment gets over worked and refuses to make your life easier then just drop it off and they will do the necessary repairs to have it operating again. They've always been fair & honest with me. If it will cost more to fix it they will bring it to your attention and you can make the decision to repair or purchase a new one. Prices all around are decent. You may find somethings slightly more expensive than others places but for most part they are competitive. Because they're associated with Ace you can find good deals in the weekly catalog. All in all I'd rather shop here than in a big store but at the sametime if your looking for a rare item you may walk out empty handed and disappointed. But I will always take my chances since I live 5 minutes away. I like that there is no random sales people hanging around, like the ones that don't know what the word NO means and like to ambush you, to try to sell something that you already have or don't need or can't even use. And if you have a friendly dog the store is pet friendly.I was not paid or pressured to write this review. No relation and not associated with any employees. Just a local resident that likes to shop here!

This is the greatest local hardware store around. I can't tell you the number of times I've gone to this store thinking they wouldn't have what i needed, yet they do everytime! They may not be a big box hardware store, but they've almost always got what you need, and at a better price.The bonus here are all of the awesome people who work here. It's more the family feel with those who love to help, and are very knowledgeable.Definitely highly recommended place if you are anywhere nearby.

This store is awesome, broke a valve and went to the HD big box first. Told I needed a new valve and probably a plumber...Went here to Hastings and the guy behind the counter repaired the valve, $2 fix. Cant say enough about shopping local. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Love it!!!! if I could give more than 5 stars I would!Thank you so much.

I've gone there for many things over the past 10+ years and they've always been accommodating and extremely helpful finding item's, I'm looking for! For all season's too! I've purchased a lawnmower, weed whacker, and leaf blower/mulcher, of which were all recommend and I was very satisfied how they held up and performed! They also do maintenance on those products!

Hastings is one of the last great hardware stores around, they have everything hardware, also small engine repair and lawn equipment, decorations,etc and the people working there know what they are talking about so easy to get help and advice there. The guy in hardware actually knows what he is doing and enjoys helping people, he is not annoyed by the customers, he actually enjoys his job. I drive to Hastings from the west end, great place.👍

Do you need that odd hardware piece? Don't know how to repair something? This place has never let me down on having it and the counter people will explain how to repair it. Also it's more convenient for me. I love it and they have some cool yard decorations. You need to go see.

Just bought a brand new Ferris FW25 48" less than a month ago. It seems as though they keep the guys in the garage for a reason LOL they're not exactly the best with people / customers but if you're lucky enough to speak with Kevin or Tom they can get you squared away with just about anything! These two are professional, knowledgeable and they'll listen to you, all while treating you with the respect a customer who spends over $8,000 with you deserves!

Great service. Very friendly and helpful. Not like the big box stores where the help avoids customers. Needed a regular spotlight for yard display. They walked me right to it.The big box had a lot of expensive landscaping lights.

I love this place. Its nice to have a neighborhood hardware close. They have just about anything u need for fixing broken household items. Plus the service for your garden tools and mowers. But I was just disappointed they couldnt overhaul my pressure washer. Bummer..
