The dough was so fresh with a nice soft but chewy texture. The sauce was very nice with a strong sweetness that complemented the great toppings, particularly the sausage. However, the spinach and cheese rolls are what made this place stand out; excellent herbs and spices used with a nice buttery dough to encapsula it all. I highly recommend this place!

Yeah the pizza was just…not good. Crust was way too overcooked, cheese was bad, sauce was awful. Our pizza looked like a pizza that had been sitting on a warmer for a few days when we received it. Not a fan. Sorry guys. I know it’s delivery, but the other places I’ve ordered from do it so much better. Felt like mall food court pizza. Not worth it

We were visiting from out of town and were searching for a good gluten and dairy free pizza! Giovanni’s hit the spot and Was easily the best GF DF pizza I have had! The service was great, our pizza were done within 8 minutes and the staff was very friendly. We are already making plans to return the next time we are in Pitt!

So, their pizza is pretty bad. I got a pineapple pizza delivered today (I know, I know, lots of people hate pineapple pizza. I love it 🤷). Anyway, some slices had a single piece of pineapple on them, and some had no pineapple on them. No slice had more than one pineapple chunk. I called to complain and the woman said "That's just how our pineapple pizza is." Anyway, it was a waste of $.

Food is delicious. Love the bruschetta and garlic toast. Honey balsamic salad dressing is a must try. Had the mixed greens on the grilled chicken salad. Sauce on pizza is a sweeter sauce than I'm accustomed to in Pgh, but perfectly made pie. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Parking is street parking only but they deliver in the south hill s.

We love giovanni’s pizza and pasta and have had it for years but this is the first time I’m a bit disappointed. There were two cherry tomatoes in my salad. One of them had a big green spot on top of the tomato. I look close and it’s mold.. As a pregnant woman, I feel more cautious with the food I eat. Just didn’t think I would have to be with giovanni’s. Lesson learned. Always check your food before you eat 😕

Their pizza is out of this world!Personally, your pizza is 1,000 times better than Papa John's, and YOU guys even have Garlic Butter Sauce!On our first night we ordered your Meats Pizza with the Garlic Butter Sauce, and my fiancé ordered something else with your Marinara Sauce.We even ordered from you guys on another night and ordered 2 orders of chicken tenders, 2 orders of large fries, and an order of onion rings.If we ever GP back to Pittsburgh and want Pizza, we will without a doubt order from Giovanni's 🍕 & 🍝You guys rock!

This place has gone way down hill and the prices have skyrocketed. Ordered half of an Ultimate Steak hoagie and a medium pizza for almost $40. The pizza was barely cooked and the hoagie was not very good at all. The sandwich came with fries on it and that’s about all that was on it except for the little bit of what they called steak but was actually shredded pot roast. They might both be beef but completely different tastes and textures. Had to put the pizza in the oven to get at least get some color on the crust. Also this isn’t the first time that I’ve had to cook my food that I’ve ordered. Last time ordering from Giovanni’s.

Ordered eggplant parmasan and it was delicious! Restaurant quality and enough for two meals. Came with nice salad (not just a bowl of lettuce) made with crispy field greens and toppings. Homemade Italian dressing was very good too. It's not like the menu says; not rolled with ricotta, just has cheese and sauce but that's all it needed (and pasta side with it too). They should probably change what menu says. Will definitely order from them again!

Picked a pizza up from here last night with no problems. Got home and opened the box. It looked like a well prepared pie. Nothing out of the ordinary. When I bit into it I immediately noticed the temp was off and the dough was tough. The sauce that was on it was to sweet for my liking. The cheese was good and so was the mushrooms"fresh" Maybe it's just me. It was towards closing time. Maybe just an off day. Will try them again in the future. Just because there's other things on the menu the wife and I would like to try. Hopefully they can earn a higher rating from me. I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Especially when I know/hope they can do better.

Giovanni’s has the pizza I dreamt about when I left Pittsburgh. The perfect combination of fresh stretchy cheese and homemade sauce with their perfectly baked dough/crust is unforgettable. Their pizza isn’t all that’s good- they also have great sides and hoagies.

Well, now I remember why I stopped ordering from this place. The 6 cheese pizza is incredibly salty. I asked for half pepperoni, and it's there, but there are multiple pieces of pepperoni stacked up - I guess someone was too lazy to actually take the slices apart. The crust is thick on one side and flatbread style thin on the other side. The cheesy twist bread...I haven't tried it yet but there's not much there for the price. I'm sorry I decided to give them another try.

I really love that they deliver beer, and they have a very extensive menu as well. I haven't tried much except their vegan options which are pretty disappointing. They have so much potential but I get the feeling that they're made by someone who doesn't understand the difference between vegetarianism and veganism, and maybe doesn't cook vegetarian dishes that much. For instance, their vegan chicken gyro-- why not a vegetarian version with cheese and sauce and, I dunno, flavor? Their fake chicken is cooked well but without any seasoning whatsoever. Maybe the cook is afraid that flavoring it won't make it vegan any longer? I also ordered the vegan wings which were just breaded vegan chicken fingers, again no seasoning, and honey mustard sauce. Blech! Fried to perfection and not dried out but flavorless.

Giovanni's has been our go-to place for pizza and pasta during the Covid era - I regret that we did not really stumble across this location until everything was shut down.Other pizza places close to Giovanni's brag about having the best pizza in America, but their service is so slow and their customer service so pitiful that their pizza can't salvage a horrible night of trying to eat. Giovanni's is completely the opposite with their service. Easy to order, easy to pick up, and when they tell you an order will be ready, it will be ready. The pasta dishes are good bang for your buck - lots of food at a reasonable price.A few weeks ago we had extended family over visiting, and no one wanted to cook. We decided to place a large order to Giovanni's instead. Pizza, pasta, the works. They had our order ready for pick up when we walked in, and it was almost painful how simple the entire process was from ordering to unwrapping the food at home.All of what we've tried has been tasty, but we really recommend the meatball pizza!

We have ordered from this restaurant frequently during this year of take-out orders. My husband can't eat gluten, so their many gluten-free entree and side options are amazing. Their alfredo sauce contains no gluten, which is fairly unusual for Italian restaurants, and they even include gluten-free garlic bread, which I rarely see anywhere else. Their bread twists are my personal favorite. Delicious, fresh, and lots of options, this remains a favorite for us.

I checked this place out in search of a Gluten Free White Pie...and I got it! I ordered it with the garlic butter sauce and added Ricotta.. it came with the mozzarella -provolone already. Nicely done Giovanni's! It really hit the spot They offered me gluten free garlic bread which was so cool of them although I don't understand why anyone would eat garlic bread and pizza in the same meal unless you want to totally pass out. I ate mine this morning with my eggs and it was so good. Very worth it- first time delivery experience. Met all my expectations and then some

Hands Down, the best family owned pizza shop in town! Great food and great service for a great price! With a family of 5, its hard to please everyone with one order, but everything they make is so good, everyone in my family is always happy! You cant beat the quality of their fresh ingredients, and their selection! It is also very admirable seeing the owner working hard with his team to make sure everything comes out perfect, everytime!!!
