I will preface this by saying there are some. great employees that I've encountered here. The lady who often works customer service in the morning, Holly, Fish and others really have created pleasent experiences while shopping at this location. That said, the general attitude of the staff is not inviting in my experience. Cashiers often seem annoyed at your presence and potential queries or completely ignore you being in the vicinity (the bar) I truly understand why there is a security guard omnipresent at the front of the store given the tenor attitude present. Regardless of how aesthetically pleasing it may be, certain staff and prices that seem to be going above and beyond normal food inflation makes this a8 below average store for me at the moment.Prompted by a (another) bad customer experience 4/1/24 between 7:-7:30 with the only cashier open at that time.

This is my favorite Giant Eagle. Staff here is nice and helpful, the food is fresh and stocked, the check out lines go quickly and the made to order food is delicious! The prices here are higher than other Giant Eagles that I typically go to, but it's worth it for the clean upper scale environment.

They apply the Giant Eagle tax here, that is you'll pay more at the register than is posted in the aisle. A problem at Giant Eagles for at least half a decade now, amazing they can't fix it. Cost me an extra $1.49 today and - based on past experience - their online complaint system doesn't respond. Is nice to have a grocery store available with large selection, just wish they wouldn't anti-compete with Wegman's

I would like to give a special thanks to NAFEEZ in the floral department who was so sweet in making my granddaughter's balloons bouquet absolutely perfect. She took special care and time making sure the balloons were so beautifully put together. Some may consider a medial task but it was greatly appreciated. Thank you Nafeez

The supermarket is very large and has a lot of content. I have been here a few times, and every time I am surprised, the vegetables and fruits are fresh, and there are also various colors and seasonings. There are often discounts. It is a good place to shop

When can they actually hire some normal functioning staff? Higher prices and worst service. Took the cashier 2 whole minutes to put a bag of vegetables in a paper bag and had to chat with other customers but was rude to me who had to put two items in my own bag. I don't like Walmart usually but now I hope they can take over this nonsense.

Waited a super long time just to be told that their tap to pay machine (actually) does not do tap to pay because it's a restaurant? Weird because anywhere I've ever paid at a counter pretty much I've been able to do it . Don't know if hungry and disappointed makes the hunger two times worse or the disappointment, but definitely feels like both.

Normally love this market but get a new manager. (Alexi) Unreasonable, rude, doesn't communicate well, will make you lose business with the way she handles situations. Honestly if you weren't next door to me... I'd probably never use giant eagle. Good luck to the employees.

The new policy on no plastic bags absolutely sucks. After going and paying the overly inflated prices for groceries, and checking out on my own I find out the only option for carrying my groceries is to pay 10 cents for a paper bag. Whatever. Then while loading them from the shopping cart to my car, both bags ripped from the bottom simultaneously dumping my overpriced groceries all over the parking lot. Thanks giant eagle.

They are closing the self checkout lines in the morning so I had to stand in line for 20 minutes for no reason and I missed the buses on a Sunday. This is stupid. Add more cashiers if you are going to be this stupid

Had plenty of positive experiences here until recently. Staff became rude.. Giant Eagle will not accept state ID as valid ID for age restricted purchases.. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This Giant Eagle is the BEST. Every single employee is KIND RESPECTFUL PATIENT AND HELPFUL I just started at the Pharmacy n needed to transfer many prescriptions I NEED daily and it was a nightmare but the pharm.techs were absolutely wonderful went above n beyond to get my meds transfered n filled before I could stress over the situation. May I say the best employees are the entire pharmacy staff the young man at the bakery and a cashier named STEPH I always go to her checkout when she's working Overall a FANTASTIC GROUP OF EMPLOYEES AT THIS G.E. STORE THANKS TO THEM ALL

Starbucks line is ridiculous 1 person working, 25min standing in line, then pretty much had an attitude when the drink was slid to me not handed. Came in last week and waited another 20 mins. You need more people. You can't expect 1 person to do everything! Hire more people to do this job. I will go else where because it's ridiculous having to wait so long.You need better employees and better staffing situations.

I was treated so badly by a bakery lady with blonde hair, I've never been treated this way even a few customers were appalled at the way she treated me. We will never patronize a store who treats or allows their customers to be treated in such an awful way. I don't recommend this store if you look like me, shame on you for hiring such an ignorant person, if I knew her name I'd put it on Facebook, Instagram, and tictok.

very nice place, big giant eagle stores are always packed with variety. was left to stand waiting at checkout with no help and unable to scan an item, though. i waited for a good while and decided i didn't want to hold up the checkout area

Our Saturday group used to meet in the coffee area for Java and socialize for an hour or two. Now we meet at a office in Shadyside area. I can't rate this location or any other for now and that is the reason for just a one star. Neither bad or good. Remember, this is a union shop and prices are what they are.

A great place to shop for groceries. I was surprised to find the organic lettuce in the produce section wilted and in need of replacement, especially since it was so fresh a few weeks ago. Fortunately, the packaged lettuce was in great condition. Nonetheless, still one of my go to shopping destinations.

As an infrequent shopper I find this store confusing. The grouping of products at the top level is reasonable, but go one level down and you can spend way too long looking for a specific item. It is clean, well lit and has a wide array of goods. With self checkout the wait to cash out is no longer interminable. Get a Giant Eagle card for convenience and discounts. Plenty of parking. Nice carts. Good staff. If you want to just pick up a couple of items it is not a great choice, but for bigger expeditions it is fine.
