Sign on the door says they close at 9pm but the doors were locked at 6. There were still people inside. When they were letting customers out, we asked if we can go in and got YELLED immediately 😳. An hour later tho, we saw people freely going in and out. This location works absolutely random days and hours to the point that I would say it doesn’t work at all.

This store needs to close permanently. I wish I could give less than one star. I am elderly with a bad heart my grandson walked with me to the store. I live across the street and down a few houses. It was approximately 12:45 on a Saturday afternoon. When I finally get there a young gentleman said the store was closed and he wasn't permitted to let in anymore customers..meanwhile there were several people in the store. His excuse was that they were going to have a meeting on the stores "inconsistencies " which is a joke since the store is hardly ever open. Please close this store...it is serving no purpose in this neighborhood.

This store is always 'temporarily closed'. What's going on??? I have to go all the way to the Lincoln Avenue store for the small things that I buy here. I try to patronize local businesses but this store is making this difficult to do. I hope they get their act together soon.

Worst store in Garfield, East liberty. Should be torn down and a positive business should replace it. The employees should be in prison or the cemetery. I had the worst experience of my life. Police were called on me for trying to return merchandise with a receipt. Manager is illiterate, disrespectful, and a coward. Left a scathing review. Do do not shop there if want to be treated with respect. You won’t find it there. Save your money and save yourself a case if you know what I mean

This was my first time browsing the isles, and I must say that this location Family Dollar is clean! Furthermore, the shelves are well stocked and the customer service representatives are friendly! I definitly will be shopping here again!

This store is horrible. Always boxes of stuff that needs put away blocking products you need to get to. Not to mention it's a safety risk for trips and falls. Its dirty. The female head managers attitude is nasty and mean. Very unfriendly to customers and her own employees. The employees lock the doors and close the store what ever time they want. Last year the store was finally looking good then I assume those people left now I dont know what's going on there. So disappointing as I'm from the neighborhood. I will not be returning to the store and will be calling cooperate.

I stopped to pick up some snacks. The cashiers were friendly. Unfortunately a young girl threw up in the store and had tracked it throughout. Also, the store's temperature was very hot. There was a new cashier. Equally unfortunate a customer was giving her a hard time for being slow. The manager warned the customer indicating that behavior such as hers is the reason new employees quit. This abuse of employees needs to stop. Not sure where this aggression comes from, but everyone needs to treat others with respect. If you can't go home and don't come out until you've had a change in attitude! New people need to be given a fair chance

It's comical at this point. Doors are always locked all times of the day. 3/4 visits in the past 2 months storefront were locked with staff inside. More of a front than a store.

I don't know how this place has almost a 4 star score. I just got done waiting in line for 30 minutes to buy 4 items. A line of 8 people were there, including me. 2 of them left at the 15 minute mark. It's like this every single time you go in there. I feel sorry for the single employee that works the register. Management has to be a joke, if not nonexistent, for as bad as this place is run. Make sure you have plenty of time to spend here if you plan on going.

They’re never open! This entire store needs new management & employees! Every time I pull up to this store, the lights are on with maybe one car parked in the parking lot & the store locked down.

The information listed online, and the sign on their door, says they close at 10:00 p.m. everyday. I got here at 8:10 p.m., and there were two employees in the parking lot who were heading back inside as I approached the door. When I went to walk in behind them, they told me they are closed. I pointed out the fact that the sign, on door that we were standing at, said that they were open until 10:00, but someone inside yelled out to me "We're closed!"

Some things are reasonably priced household items. Like everything else prices have risen. They have a little bit of everything. Like over-the-counter meds, appliances stationary and some food. Usually well stocked, neat and clean but sometimes not. Though it has a revolving door of employees it's my go-to store when I just need to pick up a couple of things without having to go to a large department store.

They are convenient to go to and they have a lot of small items that you might need but I've been there a number of times and they are closed because they don't have staff available. So it can be hit or miss. Update: hasn't been open in weeks. Don't bother going.

This store is routinely closed hours before the official closing time. The aisles are always filled with unstocked merch. The overall demeanor of the staff is dry and unconcerned. There appears to be an issue with keeping a manager, if this location is not going to operate with regularity and be realizable for the community shut it down and let another operator occupy the space period. Family Dollar seems more concerned with real estate acquisition than customer and community service.

This store literally stays closed, the operating hours listed are not accurate being that no one is ever there. If it’s open today it’s possible it wouldn’t be open the next day at the same time.

I love the Smart Coupons and with sale prices, I was able to get a lot of stuff for not too much money! This store has friendly employees, both on the floor and at the registers. The store was much more organized and much cleaner than some of the other Family Dollar stores I've been in.

I am blind and I've shopped at the store many times because I live a few blocks away. I am consistently received terrible service related directly to my disability. Sometimes I am asked to wait for 10 to 20 minutes before and employee will help me find just one item in the store. Most employees are generally rude to me and insist on pointing or acting as though I am not capable of understanding what they're saying when in fact the problem is that I cannot see where they are pointing The ADA requires that store employees assist blind customers in finding products in the store.

. Though wheel chairs can get in, its probably hard for them to get to the check out from the awkward wrack in the middle of isles and counter. Its almost hard for someone not in a wheelchair and its hard to form lines. The set up needs a better marketing perspective for its customers Long lines. They can't seem to get enough staff and are always hiring. If they were properly equipped itd be fine. I didnt appreciate the rap music blaring from 2 young men behind the counter. However that only happened twice. If it were lower i'd not've been so annoyed as i couldnt hear my bpyfriend speaking. The manager wasnt there and neither kid works there now but that shouldnt be allowed. The store has a nice discount corner and wrack. They carry a lot of items.

This store is. terrible, it closes prior to it required time, the coupons on their app don't work half the times, staffing at times is laughable. The only thing good about it, it's in the neighborhood.

This store has cleaned up and reorganized but no longer carries the Libby's Country Sausage Gravy. They have begun carrying more lesser quality canned items.

The store was very dirty. That was a little turnoff from returning. The employee at the cash register was very cheery and helpful however not all could be described that way. There was one in an isle and miserable could be the only word to describe her.

This review is similar to the majority of my reviews of the Family Dollar store in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Horrendously dirty. Looked as if the floor has never been cleaned. It as most in Pittsburgh do had a stench to it that will turn your stomach. I do not recommend visiting this or any Pittsburgh Family Dollar for atleast an hour after eating or you may lose your dinner. It is a shame but you could reduce their prices to free and give all there items away and I would not shop there. This company has some of the worse management I have ever experienced. Thats what it comes down to.
