My first experience at a Dollar General mustve been a lousy one like this store bc I stayed away from DG for years. Then I went to the one in Carrick near my parents home and wow! Everything in its place... clean... well lit... its night and day compared to this dump. I cant tell who works there and whos shopping there. I still go there bc theres certain things I like from there and I guess I should be happy we have one (and a dollar tree across the street)Keep you expectations low, your head low.. and you wont be disapointed

This is one of those places that's not just for people that have a restricted income so let's clear that up now. Places like this make sense. I love it here the employees are very polite and they know their inventory very well. The prices are the best for what other stores charge for some of the same items. I love to cook and their kitchen section was heaven for me...

Lately when going into this Dollar General they are disorganized. merchandise in boxes not on the shelves two or three days in a row. expired deli meat a month pass it's date, still in the fridge the store is a mess customer service is marginal. I love Dollar General deals but this store is disgusting Will Change review if it looks any better but I don't think that will happen anytime soon this Dollar General is just nasty🤢🤢

I enjoy going into Dollar General because they sometimes have unusual things. Unfortunately, the last time this store was organized was when it first opened. The store is disheveled most of the time, the employees are barely friendly and service is slow. During the early morning there should be employees restocking and late afternoon the registers should be staffed to get the customer out the door. NOT at any time should employees be on their phones while waiting on customers. Where's the store manager???

The place is okay, can get a bunch of food for a good price. The problem is everytime I go (which is often), they never have any ground beef or chicken strips in a bag. One time I was at the register and the lady left the front for over 20 minutes. She was reporting a homeless guy stealing but at least call another cashier to cover the front.

This place is absolutely filthy.. I felt like I needed a shower after leaving. Sticky floors and dirty shelves. Yuck..

Good prices. A large inventory at a prime Northside location with free parking. I brought cereal, coffee and milk at good prices. They have a large inventory of everything. Unfortunately their phones don't work and hasn't since they opened.

I go to this store frequently. I can purchase my items & be in and out within 10-15 minutes. This store stays busy. I'm glad to see this store & others like it in the neighborhoods. They are a life-saving store for most individuals .

The manager at the brighten road store Pittsburgh was horrible. She screamed at my daughter and ripped items out of her arm, which had been broken. I will never go to that one again

My favorite place to shop on the Northside. The prices are comparable to other discount stores. The shelves are stocked, though in some cases disorganized. My only reservation is the store manager. She spends more time smoking outside than working.

The store had alot of boxes and carts but they were all aside from the aisles. This is the neatest dollar general i have ever been to. Staff was very pleasant.

It is what it is. I find it a bit depressing. But if you really need a little bit of something and don't have much money, it may be the only alternative. Don't use it for cash back. They actually charged a fee. The primary purpose of my visit was to avoid an ATM fee. I canceled my purchase and left empty handed.

Not well stocked customer service is horrible not trained properly. Cashiers not all but some talk to dam much instead of getting her line down employees can't answer questions about store merchandise its like you don't respect the neighborhood so to hell how the store runs and they are robbing yall blind what y'all get for not paying attention i stopped shopping there

Considering the wicked location and constant short-handed staff, they keep this newly remodeled place pretty nice! You might want to wear your Kevlar vest, feels high risk to me!

Cool convenience store but never properly staffed. Always kinda dirty and you have to wait in line for at least 10 mins. They don't seem to value the community that sustains them.

Not nearly as good as Dollar Tree, which is owned by the same people. Also, this particular one isn't well maintained. Inventory often sits in the isles instead of on the shelves, which in turn wind up partially stocked.

This store is very small and very little stock on the shelves there is a lot of carts full of stock on the sales floor the old cashier dude is very slow the young guy with the dark long hair very nice and hot the manager not friendly and very slow

Freidly service, good variety of products. Some products lack in quality,Know whats good & whats not.My knowledge of what's good and what's not can be different to someone else so try it out for yourself.

Was supposed to be open at 8am I'm standing outside and 8am passes n a worker comes to the door and says we need 2 more minutes. It now has been five minutes standing in the heat n still no one comes to the door

Had they not fired my husband after 12 years as a manger and beyond loyal service I'd give 5 stars but they screwed him over for no reason and let someone embezle thousands of dollars and didn't prosecute them but fired my husband for a paperwork mishap.....smh they need to reevaluate their rules and enforce everything not just when it's convenient for them to save face. Give Billy his job back!!!!!

very clean establishment and the staff is very courteous everyone knows what a Dollar general is and you know what the prices are. But it all depends on the customer service and the cleanliness of a store and I have to give it 100% on both

I like this dollar store but I do wish the had larger stocks of flowers. They have a high traffic volume and are always sold out for of the mire popular ones.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Store was clean, though they were starting to put Christmas stuff on sell and set up for next year.
