Terrible customer service!! I just purchased a large bag of potting soil. It was outside the store in the parking lot and the young cashier told me to just put it in my car. I had to lift this heavy bag that was wet and slippery and put it in my car myself! I went back into the store and said "Don't you think you should have did this for me, I'm a 71 year old woman?" He just said I should have asked... I shouldn't have had to ask!!!! it SHOULD have been offered. There were 3 male employees standing behind the counter! The only thing I can say is it was convenient for me to go there but next time I will go out of way and go to another store.

I went back and forth about wiring this but I feel as a professional it needs to be said. My coworker and I would always come to the Greentree Ace because it's close to our office and we loved interacting with Jim and having him joke around with us and make keys. I also always bought stuff here when I would stop and my husband frequents here as well. About two weeks ago my friend was on the phone with me as she was having Jim make a key and we were discussing work items, when out of no where he snapped on her and screamed at her to pay attention and she should be over there talking to him not on her phone. She said at first she thought he was kidding, but then realized he wasn't and his face was red. She was super embarrassed after this interaction of course. Because of this, we will no longer be taking our business there and telling our employees to do the same. Jim has always been so kind and funny, I truly hope he is not driving people out by having an anger issue.

My wife and I own a small 1920's house a few miles from this store. I'm a decent DIY-er and the kind of person who always has a dozen or so creative projects going. The long and short of it is, I'm at the Ace in Greentree ALL THE TIME.Could be worse! It's a clean, bright, well-organized store with a good selection of tools, hardware, paint, cleaning supplies and outdoor stuff. I'm really amazed at how efficiently organized and well stocked they are for the limited size of the place. It's well maintained without the dusty forgotten feel you sometimes encounter at other small hardware stores.I also want to shout out the staff- they always greet me and ask if I need help even though I know that place better than my own basement now. When I am occasionally stumped, they know exactly where to go. I DO have a tendency to wander around trying to remember what else I need, but that's my own fault for not keeping a list, haha.Overall this is the kind of local business I love to support - friendly, helpful people, well maintained with good inventory. I literally hate when a specific project need require me to go to one of the big-box stores instead, they're comparatively such a terrible experience. Ace is the place, for real!

as soon as I walked in the door, the young man asked what I needed. I was able to get what I needed in and out. I don’t remember last time I had customer service like this, especially in a hardware store. I always try to find everything myself and not bother anyone. For the young men working here, they are amazing! It’s hard to find places anymore with great customer service and I am happy to see young people serving it. Thank you so much, anytime I need to go to ace, I am definitely driving out to this one rather than one closer.

The owner or manager has amazing customer service. I highly recommend this place. I was dealing with a frustrating online order for an EGO mower and she went out of her way to find solutions for me and get me a great price on a new purchase. She even had a staff member help me put the new one together! Thanks so much, I will definitely be back as a customer.

I drove a half hour to the store because they told me on the phone they had the tubes for Stihl blowers. 30 minute drive later, I get there for them to tell me they don’t have any. Extremely upset.

Being unable to process on-line orders that were placed over a week ago and finding out on 11-03-2023?This makes 'Ace hardware' look pathetic. You advertise products you don't have,and have not had for weeks,if not months. That gets you 1 out of 5 rating. I'm going to lowes.

They did not have anything I was looking for (heat-resistant gloves, white plastidip, heat gun, contact cement), and they did not seem to care or have any idea what I was asking for. How can you call yourself a hardware store and not have these basic items stocked???

Great experience all around! I ordered 4 Adirondack chairs and got a phone call letting me know they were in. I missed the call but called back to inquire about the size of the chairs. The guy who answered the phone nicely went and measured the chairs and let me know the dimensions. I later when to pick them up on the evening of 12/9, and one of the employees carried them to my car. When two of the employees saw I was struggling to fit them in my car, since they were an odd shape, they came outside and helped me for 15 minutes in the cold. After a little Tetris they did fit. I am very thankful for all of their help and kindness!!

I LOVED this neighborhood Ace Hardware store on Greentree Road in the Greentree neighborhood just a little south of the city of Pittsburgh. I was able to purchase a wide variety of items I needed, from items to block drafts, painting supplies, gardening supplies, etc. They even have some things for pets. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend this store!

This a great neighborhood hardware store. Easy to get to off of the freeway, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Quite handy if you want an alternative to driving half an hour out to any of the big box hardware stores in the area.

Best staff ever! We always make it a point to stop here first vs. Lowe's/Home Depot. There was a couple of times where we needed something they didn't carry, but it was worth the stop just for their extra knowledge and customer service.

This is the best small hardware store in Scott Township/Green Tree. The people are amazing - super friendly, well-trained and genuinely awesome. I can be in and out in less than 5-10 minutes.

This is one of the best hardware stores around. The staff is very friendly, the store has a lot of product packed into it, and they carry quality products! Of they don't have what you need they'll gladly order it!I can't recommend Ace Hardware in Greentree any more strongly.

Ace Hardware is a really good place to find some products that you can't find anywhere else. Alot of times, they have things that I didn't even think they would have ! Very happy. Sales Associates always helpful.

The girls that work there are personable and know the answers to everything. They know where everything is in the aisle. The guy that works there is pleasant and friendly. Never a bad experience. So far I have not yet walked out unable to get the item that I needed. I could give four stars just to let y'all know that the prices are hit-and-miss. But for this kind of convenience and service and location I don't care about paying a little more for some things when almost all of it is perfectly reasonable in price.

The only thing I can say about The Ace hardware Store on Greentree Rd is FABULOUS!!!!! Everyone at this location that I have worked with has been Beyond helpful and patient. I've never resolved so many tedious problems or found as many hard to find items so easily with the staffs Expertise.A Special Shout out to Bajro, one of the Best of this AMAZING CREW!!Now I RARELY go to big box home and paint stores due to the ABSOLUTE LACK of customer service.

Great little local hardware store. The associates are very nice and helpful. Their inventory is pretty good for a small hardware store, and they provide a decent amount of special services like paint mixing, key cutting, etc. Their prices are a little bit higher then larger hardware stores but it's worth paying a little more for the convenience.

Went there to get a chainsaw they were very knowledgeable about the chainsaws they were selling I thought I got it for a good price with a warranty and I would go there again for other stuff that I might need the young ladies were very helpful
