He could not have been more helpful in finding what she was looking for and made recommendations on certain things. Andy was EXTREMELY helpful. I would definitely look to go back to this store and would definitely look for him.

Approximately 2 weeks ago I brought a chainsaw chain to Ace Hardware in Phoenixville to be sharpened. Early this week I received a telephone message from Ashley at Ace Hardware informing me that my chain was sharpened & ready to be picked up. She said the cost would be $8. When I got to the store I was told the cost would be $12 plus tax … $10 for sharpening & $2 for labor. I would have thought that sharpening would have been labor. Not only did Ashley get the price wrong in her telephone message, Ace added a couple more dollars to the charge for sharpening. Needless to say I will not shop at Ace Hardware in Phoenixville again.

Ordered a grill online through these folks. I arrived and discovered that it would not fit in my car. They offered to deliver it at no cost, and they were able to do it SAME DAY! Everyone here was incredibly nice and professional. I will definitely shop here again! :)

Love that they're are in the local community because they have everything you needed to work around the house without having to make the extra long trip to the big box stores. Prices are competitive. Time is money, so an 8 minute round trip here saves me a lot of the hassle of the 80 minute drive elsewhere.

BUYER BEWARE! Came in on a Saturday night when the kitchen outlet stopped working. Staff was helpful in finding a new outlet and pack of wire nuts, not knowing any better, it was over $52 at the register. I went online and other big box stores had the same items for about $21. price gouging is rampid here

Great, Friendly and efficient Service. I think the senior employees make this particular store special, because it's a rarity to see a smile, caring and a "go to" attitude these days. We've been lucky when we do see younger people that have these qualities as employees, but it is a rarity also these days. However, when we do have that experience, we let management know..there are still young people that have had parents or perhaps just good role models that know just how much it's appreciated.

Staff is awesome here. Most places you gotta find some if have questions and then you show them you want they'll be like oh we don't have that here or something here along those lines. But here they come up to you regardless if you need help or not. You tell them what you need. They actually make sure that you're take of you and they even show you better on deals on similar products that maybe more suitable for the job. They really make sure you leave with what you came here or best possible alternative. I really like coming here better compared to Lowes or home Depot

What a refreshing change after the big box retailers! The paint guys knew what they were talking about.. great advice! the check out line grew to 4 people while I was waiting, and they opened another register quick to move things along… I bought a bag of potting soil and they asked me if I needed help taking it to the car!!!I’m going to make this my go-to place near Phoenixville or Kimberton now! Thank you!

I went in to buy myself a new STIHL trimmer. I was immediately helped by a very nice employee who answered all my questions and gave a me a very helpful tutorial on how to operate the machine. I highly recommend this store for all of your hardware needs. I could not of asked for better.

I really like Ace because they are local to me and a smaller company than the bigger box stores. The customer service has always been great I’ve been given detailed advice many times that has worked for me. I would say they have a good mixture of home and garden items as well as general hardware store type items. They are good midpoint between a Lowe’s or Home Depot and a department store like Walmart and Target. They don’t always have what I am looking for but I’m sure they could try to order it.

Love this place. Bought a home nearby 2 years ago and it's become our defacto stop for all the 'smallish' home improvement stuff. Propane tank needs, small hardware items, bird seed, caulk, paint, garden tools - they have a broad selection and a helpful staff. The younger staff may not always have an answer for you, but the more seasoned staff will.

I have shopped this location for years and have been very happy with the level of service I have received. However, the lack of customer service from the general manager Dave, and assistant manager Mike, they have now lost you a loyal customer. In the future you two need to learn a phone call or an apology goes a long way to making a customer happy. You lost my lawn mower blades. I didn't complain I just kept inquiring. I was told Dave would call me, he did not. I dealt with Mike, he barely said hi and never apologized for losing the blades. Ill take my business to True Value. 2 stars for Chuck, he is an outstanding associate and tried his best to help me these last five weeks.

I needed to buy a space heater but had a lot of kids with me. They were amazingly accommodating. They had the heater ready for me to check out and Bobby stood by my car and watched the kids while I paid. I was in and out in under 2 minutes. And they had the heater on sale cheaper than anywhere else that I called. Thank you!!

I specifically called the store to ask if they carried Benjamin Moore paint. "Yes." And I also asked if they had in stock a couple gallons of flat interior paint and could they mix my color? "Yes."So my husband went to get it a half hour away at the current exorbitant gas prices and NO, they did NOT have it, no one could find it.UNACCEPTABLE!!Why did they LIE on the phone or not bother to even check before wasting our time and gas!!VERY VERY VERY POOR.

Good for something quick or if you don't want to drive to Lowe's or Home Depot. Prices are a bit higher than you'd find at the big stores but you're paying for the convenience of a local drive. Really, I would think it would pay for itself since you'd be paying more for gas to get to the big stores.One item to note, if you're in a wheelchair or are with someone who is, some of the aisles on this store are blocked by display units, tools, etc. preventing passage through them and you'll have to turn around or back out of said aisle.Otherwise, not bad of a store if you need something small or quickly. If you are planning on picking up a lot of whatever you need, head to the bigger stores.

This is a great home town hardware store. The people are knowledgeable and if someone doesn't know the answer to your problem, there is someone else that does. Everyone does the best they can, are very helpful and friendly. They will will spend the extra time to make sure you have everything you need. Even if they do not have or can not get what you need, they will help find a place that does have it. Great place to shop for all your project needs.

Traditional local hardware store. More focused selection but I wouldn't say it is lacking anything. Was able to find everything quickly yet still able to choose between products. Staff was very helpful without upselling needlessly. In fact, they kept me from spending more than I needed to. I prefer this type of store to the big box ones and will return often.

Tina Marie and Ace Hardware...not every day do you walk into a hardware store in a pandemic asking " where some Tupperware bins are" ...because my mom died. Should you find yourself having a day like that... I was treated like a family member or neighbor here. ❤ Tina Marie even came out to the parking lot to make sure I got everything in my car I needed and offered me gloves. Picked up an online order. Zero wait time. The staff knew exactly my orders. Everyone was very friendly, the store was clean, and social distancing and mask guidelines were in place. This was my first order pickup at ACE and the easiest and fastest compared to other stores since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

My wife and I always enjoy coming to the store. It’s always clean, organized and the staff is always quick to assist. They typically have most of what I need and are more convenient to visit than going to the larger stores where help can be sporadic or just not as helpful.We recently had a great customer service experience with an associate named Scott at the Phoenixville location. He spoke with my wife mostly , on the phone and in the store, regarding primer and paint recommendations as well as the process to paint our exterior door. My wife commented on how he didn’t talk down to her or come off as a know-it-all. It was a very good experience overall and his efforts to provide good service with helpful advice for our project didn’t go unnoticed - it’s reasons like this that we come to Ace.
