Chef salad made with the kind of lettuce i don’t buy but the good stuff in the salad was good. Price fine. Good glass of sweet tea! Finally met Pat! Nice guy! Was making an unplanned trip with a friend and it was an impromptu stop. Not disappointed. No photo of the salad. No deemed necessary by me!Noteworthy details: Good meal for less than $20

The atmosphere and food were amazing. Garlic parm pretzel app here was delicious! Super chill place to stop in as we headed up to camp at Black Moshannon state park. My fiancé loved all the Penn state memorabilia and thought it was hilarious to get a photo of me (Ohio state fan) with Joe Paterno. Great place we ate twice here during our stay 4 day stay.

My family and I ate dinner here last night & it was fantastic!! We had the salmon & Parmesan haddock dinners, plus my daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo! It was so good! We had the old bay garlic shrimp for an appetizer & it was awesome! The menu has much to choose from, and they have lots of drink options! We’ll definitely be going back!

Only rating about the food - food was fine. Service was bad because they have a bunch of teenagers running the pick up side so they didn’t know what some of the food tasted like when asked what one of the flavors was. They also forgot to add one of the items I ordered to my bag when I picked up. Pretzels were soggy, but the rest of the mussels and wings were acceptable. Really expensive for what you’re getting in my opinion.

This is NOT a hotel review. This only concerns the restaurant. More specifically, the Backroom Event part of the restaurant. A review of the food is at the end, but first I must vent about this special event.My wife and four friends of ours came tonight for a comedy show. We had early dinner reservations for 2 hours before the show.Once we found our reserved table, it took 25 before a waitress came to our table despite there only being 12 other guests in the place at the time. Pat and I got our drinks from the bar ourselves fifteen minutes before the waitress showed up.The comedy show started at 9:00pm. The two opening comedians weren't funny. I'm no prude but constant f-bombs and toilet jokes haven't made me laugh since I was in college. I have a red flag that never fails to come true. If the comedian uses the f-bomb at least four times in the first 90 seconds, the rest of the act will likely suck. Based on tonight, this rule still applies.Then it turns out the headliner cancelled so the We Are Inn booked a replacement. I wish I would've caught his name, he was funny. He was from Pittsburgh as well, just like Matt Little, the originally scheduled comic, told more relatable stories about family and holidays and such, using expletives sparingly. We were enjoying him, even his interactions with the attending Penn State Football players in the audience were entertaining.However, the downfall of the night was when the owner of this establishment, apparently thinking he was an up-and-coming comedian, wouldn't shut up while sitting in his seat up front. Having to listen to belligerent guests is one thing, but the owner? Shame on you.We left, the comedian said goodbye to us and I assured him that we enjoyed him but pointed to the owner and his entourage and exclaimed "we liked you but this group here sucks."Needless to say, we won't be planning to attend any more special events here.As for the food, I will share comments from some of us at our table.My wife and I shared a Reuben with boardwalk fries. They even split the sandwich and fries onto two separate plates. The Reuben was good, nothing to brag about, but good. The fries arrived cold. My wife asked for a fresh batch. They complied, they were great.My wife's friend had Fettuccini Alfredo. It was very good and she highly recommends it.My friend's wife had stuffed mushrooms. She said it was a little heavy on the "gravy" which she noted was actually marinara sauce. Otherwise, she said they didn't suck. I guess that's good.My friend got buffalo wings. They were swimming in sauce but none of the sauce was baked onto the wings themselves.I usually order wings when my wife orders a Reuben. This time I'm glad I didn't.In summary:Food ★★★½Service ★★★Event ★★

I was here with my husband for a week and we loved the room. Very clean and comfortable. The service 100/10. We went to the Lobby to eat and omg the food is delicious. Our server was Melissa every time we went to eat and she was very nice. The Italian ice is so delicious 10000/10. We had the piña colada and the watermelon plus I also tried the blue raspberry it was very very delicious. Everyone that works here are very nice people. I would love to come again soon.Rooms: The room was comfortable and clean. The room has a mini fridge. The bed was so comfortable. The room also has a closet and drawers for you to put away your clothes. The lamps in on the nightstands have plugs for your chargers. The TV has a lot of great channels.Safety: I was alone for most of the day when my husband went to work and nobody bothered me. The rooms have double doors and the main door to go in the room had double lock and the screen door has a window for the mosquitoes not to go in and lets you have the door open if you want to have the main door open.Walkability: Across the street there’s a beautiful lake and park.

I've been wanting to try the food. We went on a Thursday night. We decided to try the wings. I ask if we could split the sauce on a dozen. The waitress said yes. We ordered a beer. The waitress was very unfamiliar with their beers. She was not 21 yet. She went to get owner. Since 3 ppl she ask was also unfamiliar with their beers. Owner never came. In the meantime we googled our beer interests. And ordered beer. The larger wings were just cooked enough. I did not care for the ranch wings. But the when pigs fly. (I think that was the name) was delicious. Also we did not know until Bill came. There is an extra charge when you split sauces on a dozen of wings. If it was listed somewhere we missed it. I would go back. I liked the beer we ordered. All from PA breweries that's a plus. I would like to try another kind of beer and maybe a cheesesteak.

This review is for the restaurant.Legit good food.I ordered the mussels for an appetizer.. So good. Really. So good that I brought the sauce from that appetizer home and made a meal JUST from the sauce! And just from the sauce, the meal I made was insane good.Additionally, the service was amazing. The staff is so kind and attentive and respectful.This place is a little pricey but after tasting the food, I would do it again.Separately, the bathrooms are very clean and that's always important.Food & drinks: Yummy! Will not disappoint.

This is a great place to stay for a quick trip. It was EXTREMELY clean, fresh and comfortable. It was a safe place to stay and barely any traffic noise. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.Rooms: Clean and cozy.

1st visit shrimp made me violently sick.2nd visit it took 1.5 hours to get our food.It took them 40 minutes to even take our order..Waitress treated us like an inconvenience and rushed serving us.They forgot my wife’s appetizer entirely and had to be reminded.We had two of their most expensive plates and both filets tasted like old meat with no seasoning what so ever.No salt, no pepper, no garlic.Bland as paper.They also completely forgot my salad, which was part of my meal.$150 for some of the most basic food I’ve ever eaten.This place tries to act classy but it’s basically a sports bar in a Halloween costume.Complete rip off.I make great money, it’s not about the money. Everything was just lacking in every department for that kind of price range.

Local Penn State Themed Restaurant, Bar, motel. Best Reuben in town. Clean and friendly. Interesting dishes are well prepared and service is quick , but if crowded expect a longer wait because good food takes time. I can't comment on the rooms because I'm a local, location is convenient however the entrance can be sketchy with traffic at times so be careful.Sandwich is my thing check out the Philipsburger if you have an appetite and a large mouth. Recommend that you stop in to the Inn.

This is a compilation over a couple experiences. Stayed at hotel. Pipes froze. It was cold I get it. It was more about management’s lack of empathy. I emailed and asked for a bill. Never saw one. They obviously charged me just did not see the bill. Went there to eat tonight. Sat at bar. We were only ones at bar. 3 people flying through the bar. No one talked to us. People came in after us. Staff asked if they wanted a table. Got a table. Got their order. Served them drinks. Still no one even said hi to us. We left and went to RJ’s. Has a drink within a min of being there. I know this guy is an alumni. Don’t think he knows how to run a restaurant or motel

If you are looking for a quiet place to sleep, you’re better off anywhere else. This place is a college themed restaurant and sports bar, with a motel as an afterthought.We had drunk people standing right outside our window yelling, smoking, and playing loud music in their cars. Was woken up several times in the night from their drunk patrons. In the morning, there was a person passed out in a running car right outside our door.Avoid at all costs.

After reading multiple raving reviews we decided to stop there on July 29 about 12:15 p.m. Ordered our meal and it took 35 minutes to get a reuben and a meat ball sub. Once we finally got or order, the sandwiches and french fries were cold. No thanks. We'll go elsewhere in the future. FYI, place wasn't busy only 4 of the 9 tables in the main area had people who already had their food.

I normally don’t post negative reviews however this night our family celebration. The owner should have never allowed restaurant to be full capacity with only 3 waitresses and one was bartending. They worked very hard to try to keep up but it was impossible, we had food that was forgotten about after almost 2 hours after ordering. I know there is a shortage of workers most other restaurants only seat according to staff available. I gave 2 stars because of the waitresses did all they can do and to add misery this was a pre game night.
