Don't know how I got a $10 balance to pay when I always pay in advance.While we initially used JJPowell due to their oil price being the cheapest I could find, they are awful at delivering.My family and I are still new to oil. But we got the hang of it and now know that we use approximately 100-130 gallons a month in the winter. The last delivery we got I called it in advance, like a week before I knew we would run out.Called them in the middle of the week. Wednesday, maybe Thursday.Didn't get delivered until the following week. (Not that upcoming Saturday, but the weekend after that).Their excuse is that they only deliver to our area once a week. At that point, why deliver to this area at all?You're happy to take our LIHEAP cash benefits and my hard earned out-of-pocket money, but can't be bothered to deliver in a timely manner, even when I called well in advance before we were going to run out.Then they send the truck, but they sent the wrong truck. Too big to go up our hill, even though they have delivered to us before and at that point should know what truck to send! That caused an additional delay for our last delivery. At this point I'm happy to get a fuel transfer tank and pump my own oil from a local fuel station in a pinch, but safe to say you've lost our business. Great job.For future reference, if you only deliver to Shamokin once a week, how about you stop delivery to Shamokin altogether? You're only setting yourselves up for failure if you can't provide prompt service to an area. Just stop while you're ahead.

Just moved into a house 2 months ago. Ran out of fuel and bought 400 worth over the weekend. The emergency line said that since I am not a previous customer. They can't deliver after hours. I have 2 small children and no Secondary heat source. I will be taking my business else where after I get the fuel tomorrow.

I accidentally forgot to unlock my gate but the delivery guy (wish I could remember his name) did what he had to in order to make sure we got fuel anyways; very helpful.

Just had the furnace serviced, I should have gotten his name because he was just great! Very professional and polite. Didn't have an appointment and he came in between appointments right awayEven gave our dog Luna attention! Definitely recommend this company. Our oil furnace had stopped working (reset button popped) on a weekend and I was able to talk to a technician over the phone at night as when hitting the button, un-fired oil in the refractory started smoking and rolling out the furnace. We worked through some things over the phone and was able to get the furnace up and running (thank you Garrett). I set up a normal service call for the following Friday and the technician was able to replace the transformer that morning (thank you Tyler) as he believed that may be the issue from a weaker spark. Checked to make sure there wasn't any issues with draft or the heat exchanger too. Always appreciate the service and being able to discuss things through. Never feel like they are trying to sell me items that are not needed. We did have an issue with oil not being delivered, but when I called (one week later), they did admit that they made a mistake and indicated that they would be out that same day to deliver the oil. Thankfully it isn't super cold and we had enough oil to last a whole week. That was the only reason for 4/5 stars.Service: Heating system repair

This morning I woke up to no heat, I had to do a weekend emergency call. I thought it would take forever to get someone here. I was wrong. They were very kind and professional, The on call guy Joe got here quickly and fixed the electrical box issue to our furnace and had us heat going in a short amount of time! I went online and paid for oil. I understand it is the season for a busy schedule. But there is NO WAY that when I call and talk to someone on the emergency line to be made felt like they were going to help and then be told… “ Since you aren’t on the automatic delivery/refill you will need to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday.” I have a toddler and 5 space heaters going are you serious. The since of urgency is not there and I am extremely disappointed. I guess I need to pay extra to be on their elite list in order to receive help. The other week our furnace went out sometime during the night. We had heat by the next afternoon. The serviceman was very professional and they were very prompt in calling me back. Their easy pay plan is great and saved us last winter. They are on the ball when it comes to delivering heating oil. Whatever algorithm they use to determine when you're down to ¼ tank works really well! The only trouble we had was over the summer when we didn't need the oil for heating (our hot water is also off of the furnace) but were down to empty before they figured we would be (probably due to me being cold and running the heat for a few days over early spring), but they were quick to deliver.

Customer of 4 years purchasing oil. The first time the company performed a routine maintenance/service to my 4 year old furnace, the tech Frank worked from an incorrect assumption that heat was not working upstairs. Instead of checking to see if the upstairs received heat, he did not service my furnace; instead billing me $125 to tell me that in order to get heat upstairs, I needed a bigger pump. The pump he suggested was a 007 F5. This "bigger" pump should supply heat upstairs (heat was fine upstairs). The pump he wanted to replace was a 007 F5 - it is the exact same pump size. This behavior indicates an attempt to take advantage of me, or complete ineptitude.I spoke with Scott about the problem. Instead of apologizing, or reassuring me that no wrongdoing was going on, or asking for another chance to fix the issue; Scott informed me that "no one is holding a gun to my head". On a customer service call, this is not appropriate language. Secondly, Scott informed me that I live in America and can choose to take my business elsewhere. I thanked him for informing me what country I lived in - however this all came out of nowhere. I never even indicated that I was taking my business elsewhere at this point - he was eager to not provide any answers, not provide any consolation, and seemingly desired to lose me as a customer.I will not trust them in my house to service my furnace and I will not be purchasing heating oil from them in the future.Service: Heating system maintenance
