Recently my fiancée and I got a kitten and West Pets was able to supply us with everything we needed to make sure little Chester is happy and comfortable. I love supporting small local businesses as well. I haven’t tried the do it yourself dog wash yet but I asked about it and you can take your doggy in and use a washing station with your own shampoo.

I make it a point to pop in here with my dog to say hi every few weeks even if I don’t necessarily need anything for him (but we always end up leaving with some kind of fun treats anyways). The owner is one of the sweetest people and is so caring about your pet’s needs, and the newer associate I’ve seen here is also awesome!! Definitely support this local business if you have the chance to!

What a fantastic local pet store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and really care about the community and, more importantly, animals. We have been shopping here for over a year, and they never disappoint. Our cat's favorite toy that we bought at West Pets got broken several months ago. We went back for another, and they were out. Once we told them about it, they immediately got the toy back in stock. Please, give them your business. You will not regret it.

The spot is cute and clean, the owner is so friendly and super accommodating and always has been more than willing to order anything I might need for my pets. Prices for reptile supplies are lower than other chain pet shops and the selection is definitely decent. I imagine the same goes for the rest of the supply. Regardless, it’s always a pleasant trip for me when I need anything.

I have 2 birds and a guinea pig and it’s hard to find all the supplies I need at other stores. They had everything I was looking for and more for all kinds of pets.. friendly staff too!

Just moved to the area and I ran out of dog food! I was about to make my way to petsmart but decided to look up nearby pet stores. I visited another one weeks ago and didn't like it because their selection was so few. I checked West Pets out and I am forever going to this place for as long as I live in Philly. Katie is so good with animals and really knows her stuff! The prices are fantastic and the selection is very good. My pups are super happy with their new treats and I'm sure they'll love the food. We even hung out in the store for a while because it was pouring out and Katie was super friendly!! Thanks for the hospitality, Katie!!

Wonderful little shop. I have a dog suffering from cancer and they had exactly what I needed to help ease her pain a little. Katy was very knowledgeable and very informative. She knew exactly what we needed and took care of me and my dog. Definitely intend to return.

I have ordered several of the adjustable collar tags and love them! The tag sits flat on the collar do no jingling noise and nothing to get caught on. My order shipped the next day and communication was excellent!

An amazing place- it was great to see the owner running the shop, knowing her products inside in out. We got some quality cat food without fillers and a bunch of US made toys. Great place and they know their stuff.

I had an amazing experience at West Pets and highly recommend coming here for all of your pet needs. This week, I unexpectedly found a puppy that had been abandoned on the street. Luckily, West Pets was still open, so I rushed over to buy a collar and leash for the dog. The owner assisted me in selecting the right collar size, and as we were talking, I told her about how I found the dog. She immediately offered to help out by giving the dog a bath. The owner even gave the dog a 24 hour flea prevention medicine, helped remove the dog's fleas, and offered to launch a fundraiser to support the dogs medical expenses (the dog had an injured foot) all at no cost. She was extremely sympathetic and kind to my situation and I am so grateful to her for her excellent service. Please support this local business with all of your pet needs!

My girlfriend and I stopped by the other day to to pick up a gift on our way to our friends. The store has been open for less than a week but is one of the easiest to spot on the block. The owner, Katie (super knowledgable, thank god!) helped us pick out some ice melt with ingredients that are safer for dogs - Purrfect!

A gem in a not-so-great area. They clearly care about your pet's wellbeing - e.g. they explained possible solutions for a problem I was having, even though they knew it could cost them a sale. Good people.
