The service was really bad. I wasn’t greeted or helped. I had a pickup order but wanted to get something else for my pup. They were watching me very hard as if I was going to take something. I honestly wish I had returned the items but I needed them and they weren’t available at the next closest location to me.

this location has two different doors for entering. they only keep one accessible at a time. i swear i’m always on the wrong side and today i had it and just walked away. i shouldn’t have to go to the parking garage side where it’s dark and sketchy when there’s a street side entrance.

Annoying that they keep the main door on Girard locked. Somebody else complained about that 2 months ago and they haven’t addressed it. Unhelpful and rude staff, too.

Will probably never come back to this store if I don’t have to. Not the first unsatisfactory visit with this location but certainly the last. Came in today around 10:15 to use the wash station, actually tried to make an appointment online and there was no means to, so given my previous experience I figured this location is first come first serve. Was not greeted when I entered the store, and besides one other customer I was the only other shopper present. I didn’t hide the fact I was using the wash stations, nor was I quiet about it so Steph and the other associate could hear what I was doing. I was 10 minutes into washing my dog when Steph (who if you’re reading this I am familiar with you because you’ve helped me on a number of occasions so this poor display of customer service was shocking and disappointing) came back and told me I couldn’t use it, I needed to pay (came in for other items so I would’ve done this anyway) and have an appointment. Knowing the time I asked her if she knew of any availabilities today to which the other associated blurted out “NO YOU HAVE TO COME TO THE FRONT FOR THAT!” which considering the fact she had nothing to say to me when I walked in, I took offense to. I simply packed my dog up, grabbed his food, paid and left all of this before 10:30 so there was more than enough time for me to walk-in and wash my dog before then. The fact that after all that they never offered to show me where/how to make an appointment is indicative of their poor customer service. Unwelcoming and unprofessional especially when this was an honest mistake and I have frequent pick-up and delivery orders from this store. All of that changes. And this will be dictated to corporate. Have the day you all deserve.

My experience at this Petco felt supportive and welcoming because the staff person listened so carefully and patiently answered all of my questions. In doing so she acknowledged my concerns and gave advice that made me feel confident in my decision making.

The sales lady name Katie was wonderful. We just adopted this lil Chihuahua. We had a hard time picking a warm outfit for her. Kate showed us an array of doggie outfits. She was very knowledgeable and patient. This is the one we picked. Great selection and grear prices! We will be back soon!

This is the pet supply place we use most frequently as a household. We love it because it carries our preferred dog food brand, has two of the self-wash sinks that are usually available, easy to use, and has the staff clean up the mess, has covered parking, and is super pet-friendly. The most important part is the staff itself. They are always helpful, friendly, and attentive. They are proactive, too. Today, the Petco Rewards phone look up came with two different names. After a few questions, I figured I'd shrug it off, but then the employee (Carlos) helpfully pointed out that there might be points on both accounts, so merging them would be easy and may be beneficial. He then walked me through how to do it. This is a great location - I hope they stay exactly as they are.

This is a great place. We come here frequently for food because it's actually pretty reasonably priced. We happen to buy the most expensive food available, but we can't find a cheaper anywhere else. Another good thing about this place is that it always has ample parking underneath the Acme specifically for this store. And of course, you can bring your dog in. They have dog washing stations. We get our dog clothes here usually. And the employees are always really friendly and helpful.

I called ahead to ask if they had anti diarrhea meds. The woman on the phone acted like I was bothering her. Nasty.After I took a bus there because she said they had it ... It was out of stock.Frustrating.She obviously did not want to look before I made the trip.Poir service and attitude.

I’ve been here so many times and I love the vibe. It is a tad expensive, but the service is normally amazing. Today, an employee named Michael helped me find flea meds for my cats. He was super friendly and obliging, even though they have to work through Covid craziness. Hope he gets a raise. They only allow 3-4 customers in the store at a time, but you can also order online and pick it up.

When reviewing individual locations of large chains, I tend to focus on the staff, rather than the goods, which are more likely under the control of a corporate mandate. And here, based on multiple visits, I've noticed the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful across the board. If you've got questions, they've got answers.

When possible, I avoid large chain stores (a boutique Petco). The inventory is limited as compared to its parent company. It’s conveniently located in Northern Liberties at 2nd and Girard. Staff are friendly and helpful.

First off, there is a sign on the front door on Girard Ave that tells you the door is locked, and that you have to walk around the entire building to use the garage entrance. Guess what Petco, lots of people in this neighborhood don’t drive! And we don’t want to have to walk around the block to come in through the dark garage.Second, the prices are sky high. You are a national chain store that sources products in bulk. $45 for a flimsy hooded cat litter box? I looked at that price, walked home, and ordered an identical one from Amazon for $25.I can say that two separate employees stopped and asked if I needed any help, which was nice.So Petco, you lost a sale today to Amazon because of your pricing. I always support local stores first, but if it’s a national chain like your brand is, you need to compete or my dollars will certainly go elsewhere.And unlock your front door!

Great place, has everything you need. Two entrances, one for those who are driving, one at the front for pedestrians. They wash dogs (not cats). And you can use the Petco website to get things delivered same day to the store.

Went a week ago and they asked me what I needed and the employees went out of their way to get me the best deal, and also the lady packaged it up wonderfully. It's not a warehouse pet store, but they probably have what you need anyway and are super helpful and nice.

Didn’t like the way I was treated at this location. Workers very rude and I was rushed to wash my dog smh. I went to return food and the guy charged me for the food and acted like I didn’t tell him I wanted to exchange. Love the self service wash but customer service is horrible.

Very nice store. Clean and the employees are very nice. There is a self serve dog wash station that I will definitely use. Products are a little pricey but all in all I recommend this place for your pets needs and wants.
