Came here not to long ago and had a pleasant experience while here. I had gotten some snacks for a trip and I was able to find all of what I needed fairly quickly and easily. Will definitely be back again in the future.

I had 2 can of crabmeat that expire November 2024 and was purchased a few weeks back and refrigerated the entire time.I went to use them today 2/5/ 2024 and they are rotten meat soggy and the odor will knock u out.I contacted the store and asked the return policy without having the receipt , I was told not a problem, when I arrived the young man I spoke to started the refund transaction, but was Told by Charlene that he couldn't refund it nor give me store creditHer explanation was that he is new and in training.I should had learned my lesson with the rotten fish I had purchased before.

Clean atmosphere, some Employees are friendly & kind. They definitely need help in the customer service area. It's always one person working & the line is always long. Customers shouldn't have to wait for over 30min in a customer service line.I really hope they hire more Employees to help assist in this area.

I was here before the last minute x-mas crowd. They have eggs land best orangic brown eggs for $3.99 old girl had a coupon for 50 cents off which ShopRite double at this ShopRite😷 they sell shots 🧓😳😜 why 4 ice cream bars cost $7🤔

First time there and it's a good place to shop. Seafood prices are ridiculous now but other than that I enjoyed the experience. Many months later and the seafood prices are no better but shopping at the store is still quick and love the varietyUpdate: First time back after awhile and I used the shoprite app to make a list of my purchases and found it to be so quick and easy. As a bonus, I was able to tap on a product and find where it was located, immediately. Saved me so much time. Seems like the self checkout was improved also by having 2 people to call out what machines were empty and to give assistance. All in all still a great experience 👍

I'm sorry Tracy but this is my third time to you in months. Everytime you are cold and you don't put seasoning on my seafood. I come up cheerful. Not saying you have to be but just saying which one and how much then cooking w/o the seasoning is a problem I never had being from here. People like you should really go into fields they need to be in not half to because you are a ticking time bomb every time. Could be the job but this Shop Rite is a fave because of service. You don't add to that okay? You suck! Seriously.

I bought grillos pickles from here late Saturday night 5/14/22. Decided to open them today and they sizzled like a soda. Tasted one and could taste that spoiled taste. Expiration date 2/24/22!!! Almost 3 months expired! 🤮🤮🤮 The top was so filled with gas that it was inflated. So disappointed. This was my first time at this location but they clearly don’t rotate stock. Check the expiration dates before you buy.

I called four times to get a price in seafood and they didn’t even want to give me a price and said it change all the time put me on hold just to come back and say they don’t have it I was in a different market and wanted to know if it was cheaper to just come here for fresher food because the crab meat was cheaper there

I always visit this store when I am in phl layover and it's very well priced and the staff are helpful. I came back after a year and was surprised to see the arrangement changed as in they have got food stall!!! The salad bar stall is good and the portion is generous too.

The store is huge. It has a PNC, a spirits shop, sandwich station, buffet, Western Union, bakery, dining area, lottery and everything else a grocery store would have. The store is packed with stuff. Sales are on point. The staff is a little rough around the edges, but for the most part friendly.

I enjoy and love all Shoprites. However. The Shoprite on Island Avenue has become one of my favorites. The entire staff is always very helpful,courteous and professional and the most important. The quality of food being sold at this Shoprite is always very very fresh. The wait time in the lines whether, express,customer service, ten items or less or basic checkout are always super fast. Shoprites like the location on Island Avenue makes it easy for customers like myself to shop. And they unlock and open their doors exactly at 6am. I love it.

I'm a online shopper to pick up, 3 times they give me a bad food pineapple, watermelon, & ginger. Told manager Veronica twice, never replaced it just skip it and went to another conversation. The workers there are just too comfortable they act like they not at work with attitudes either on there face or in there mouth. I've been going there since Sept 2022 every week, I"M DONE WITH THIS PLACE.

I love ShopRite but today I spent half an hour waiting in the deli line for the only person who was working in the line to let the other 10 people waiting know that he was going on break because they didn't have anybody but him working in the deli section. We asked for the manager who couldn't help. I have 100 people that work for me and I know how to do every job. SMH

If you're coming for the Salad Works, don't bother. The employees are chronically missing, so you have to beg a ShopRite employee to page them and even then they still probably won't show. Makes you wonder how fresh that food is if the station employee can't even be bothered to actually serve it.

No shopping basket for carrying small items. Too much processed food, small fresh produce section. “Security” must see receipt to leave store and didn’t see if what I had matched. Low product selection. Will travel to a better location. It looks suspicious that this location serves a majority BIPOC population and doesn’t carry items and follow procedures of other locations. Also suspicious, a vending machine that sell hair extensions (weaves) and other beauty store products. This is the only location with this.Only use if I’m too tired to drive somewhere else. First time here and was let down.Where things should be they weren’t.Prepackaged salad works with not a utensil in sight. No one around to offer any assistance. No assistance with the self checkout. Almost every line closed. Load to go down the road to dollar tree to get something to eat my salad with smh.Do better please.

ALWAYS understaffed at the cash registers and PURE INCOMPETENCE at the self checkout, and nobody wants to assist customers. Recommend you shop at the ShopRite in south Philadelphia, trust me they'll treat you better there than here.

Went there some time ago and the security at the door waited till I passed them to call after me and wouldn't stop calling me until I turned around. Low and behold they just wanted to mark my receipt. The surveillance cameras must not work
