My first time being here and I loved it . So many more treat choices for my little fury friend at home . Everything is well organized and easy to find . They were very helpful and very friendly people . If you live in south philly definitely make this your go to pet store for your furry babies

One of the nicest pet supply stores in Philly. Very friendly and helpful staff and a great selection. I just happened upon the place running other errands, and they won me over the moment i walked in on an adoption day, staff encouraging me to enter a raffle and free samples... that's just the loot. The woman who helped was genuinely warm and a pleasure to deal with. It's a bit out of the way without a car, but well worth it!

Awesome place with a great selection and knowledgeable staff. I love their brand Performatrin; it's worked wonders for my dog's health and coat. The bath area is awesome, too! She's a German Shepherd mix so bath time gets messy.

The two women working were so kind and helpful. We used their self service dog wash and it was great. They have different kinds of shampoo you can chose from and towels right there for you.

I went here with the dog I just adopted and I highly recommend this establishment to any dog lover. I was looking for a harness and bed. The one girl brought me right to the harness' and helped me find the heat fitting one. After that she took us to the beds and when I told her I liked a couple she got them down and was very friendly with my dog having him try out the beds!

Very reasonable prices and have great quality foods for your pet. Brands not advertised on TV are usually the ones to look into, made and source in the USA are important. As well as this being a Canadian company, they have higher standards for pet food regulations and quality. Their brand is good as well. Look at how much you feed your pet, you feed them less due to the fact there are less fillers and fake flavors added to get your pet to eat it. Their poo is smaller as well! So a few more dollars goes a long way! Awesome clearance section to!!!

Warm feeling as soon as you walk into the store. Store is set up neatly, organized & clean. Smells fresh & clean too.The employees are very professional, know all about pets & the merchandise. Also very friendly & people friendly.

Stephanie was amazing and helped me so much with finding the right fit for supplies I needed for my new pup! Between designing the tags, finding me the right sized harness/leash/kong toy, while my boy was quite nervous and being a little difficult some of the time, she was the most patient person I could have asked for in helping me shop. I wouldn’t have been able to stay focused on what my dog needed if I didn’t have her help to show me items while I worked with keeping the dog calm! He is very wary of people and definitely was comfortable with Stephanie and I’m so glad she was there to be so so helpful and patient with us. I’ll always go to pet valu for Kuma’s supplies and hope that she’s working! ☺️♥️ thank you so much!!!!

the self wash pet bath area is awesome. great water pressure always clean and high power air dryer. staff is super friendly as weel, will definitely be back. last Tuesday of the month is discount for seniors and military.

Small compared to Petsmart but still a good place. They had everything I needed, but was only shopping for my dog. The $10 (towel and shampoo included)self pet wash station is a good option. Full service is $35

Pet Valu is my favorite pet store and they always have what I’m looking for. They always have a wide variety of brands, and their store food brand is AWESOME! I have four kitties and they love it, and they all have healthy coats. They are currently on the hairball remedy food and I think it’s really helping them.

I thought the store closed at 9 pm!!!Just got a kitten and was in need of milk replacer. I arrived at the store 8:55pm and the doors were locked. The assistant behind the counter lifts her head see me and puts her head back down, I guess she was counting money. I work in customer service and I know if it's slow you're trying to get out as fast as possible but you have hours to uphold and if your hours say 9 then the door should be open til 9.

I got my dog groomed here, the groomer was really nice and my dog seemed to have a nice time. They have a nice selection of pet supplies. Their service was a lot better than Pets Smart

Pet Valu has a great selection of foods that meet the dietary needs of your animals. While the food may be more expensive, my animals have been eating more nutritious foods. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm not sure about the store itself, but my husband took our miniature poodle there to be clipped. The clipper obviously doesn't know how to clip poodles properly. I asked the clipper via phone before hand if she pulled the hair from their ears and she answered yes but did not do it. The clip itself was very uneven and spots were not done. His face was not shaved and I also asked for no beard and mustache. He even still had whiskers sticking out.

Love the convenience of washing my dogs and doing so at my pace and time. My come out smelling clean and refreshed. The water pressure could be stronger but overall is great.

The staff is really bad! This lady told my dog to shut up and my puppy is just 4 months while there was one dog taking a bath and it was barking and the staff didn’t say nothing to the owners there was another dog which is 3 months he was barking too and the lady didn’t say nothing to themI feel like it’s discrimination !!!!!!!!!!

This place is awesome. The staff go above and beyond....even going so far as getting on the floor and playing with my overly-excited still damp bulldog so the I could pay for his stuff.
