Major disappointment I paid almost $12 for a $1.50 lettuce and onion hoagieThe man at the front was very nice and friendlyThere was a black male making the hoagies Let’s just say my corner papi makes way better hoagies for $7.50 there was literally slim to no meat roll was fresh but I was eating seasoned bread 💔😢 won’t be back Monday

I should’ve went to Wawa! That should say it all. Since the pandemic there hoagies are smaller and more expensive. This in this pic is a large chicken salad hoagie! I know could they spare any salad 😢God damn shame!!!

Edit: reopened after the flood. Inside looks brand new and the people are still super friendly.I heard about this place ages ago but finally decided to try it myself. After living in East Falls for ten years, I get the hype. It looks a little overstocked for a small place like the corner bodega that it is.Walk straight to the back for a small counter where they make fresh sandwiches. The prices were great and I can see myself going back.

Ive been going here for a number of years. They closed for a bit during the flood and remodeled the store. Its more of a hoagie place than a general store like it was before. So they are focusing on their sandwiches. The major appeal of Majors is you could get a decent enough hoagie for a good price. Unfortunately and i know inflation is a thing there prices have shot up. While the hoagies are still good i do think there was a tiny bit drop in their taste. I still do stop in if im in the area.

Ever since they've reopened, the sandwich/hoagie quality has deteriorated from good to mediocre! Some meats, such,as turkey pastrami, are no longer served and prices have increased significantly!Come on guys do better!

This place is horrible! The staff is unfriendly and watch and follow their customers(black customers). I ordered a tuna hoagie and found a whole receipt inside of my hoagie, I didn’t noticed until I went to take a bite and there it was. They lost a loyal customer.

Worse hoagie ever one bite and trashed it meat was slimy and had no flavor. I've seriously had poppy store hoagies better then this with more meat and all. This reminds me of the $2.00 hoagies we used to eat as kids. Never again plz don't waist your time.

Used to always get hoagies from here and just went back 2 days ago for the first time in 2 yrs… I can honestly say their hoagies fell completely off. The staff is different and they don’t put the same amount of effort into making a good sandwich. There was barely any lettuce on my hoagies- just the extra onions that I asked for. The Turkey was wet Turkey, and I don’t like wet lunch meat.. it screams Cheap or low grade. The only plus was the roll was soft. I noticed the staff doesn’t wear hair nets, if I would’ve saw a piece of hair in my food I would’ve spazzed.. anyhow, I only ate half of my hoagie and literally threw the other half away.

I ordered an Italian hoagie. Majors is known for good hoagies. They were closed for a long while. I don't think they came back with the same bangin hoagies. They have impressive containers of fruit though...watermelon, grapes, pineapple.

The best hoagies ever. Long line but quick, and they are clean. My father turned me on to them, now my grown kids go there. I can see this through generations. The owners are the best.

Very DISAPPOINTED with the quality of Major’s hoagie in 2022. Moved out of the city for a while and came back with anticipation for the greatness that it ONCE was.. Save your money & find somewhere else to eat! The other bad reviews are true.

I don't know if this was a one time slip, but I won't take another chance with Major's. The hoagie was light of tuna ,lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Heavy on pickles and hot peppers. I could have done better at a Papi store. Not what you use to get from them. Q

One of the last few Mom & Pop corner convenient stores left. The small Deli counter in the rear - serves a decent sized array of hoagie style sandwiches, that are good to go, & quite tasty. Does get crowded at times, but the products are worth the wait. Give it a play.

I must admit, i did not know anything about Major Lee hoagies till i saw parking wars on cable.so i drove there to see this for myself. I was not going to stop if i could not find a parking spot legal. Got lucky found one. brought a hoagie inside with a soda, found a bench outside near the Sunoco gas station and began eating, It was the best hoagie i have tasted in 2 decades, everything that they put on the roll is fresh, the hoagie is so good that it will not take you long to eat it. From a scale from 1 to 10, it scores a 9.5 from me, beats Wawa hoagies hands down not even close. I go there 3 times a week now that i know where it is. Thank you parking wars.

Not a huge fan of their hoagies or sandwiches but their macaroni salad is fantastic. The people in the back making the sandwiches on the weekend are rude as hell which is a huge turn off. Your store is successful because of your customers. Remember that.

Best hoagies in Philly...in my opinion of course! Never had a bad hoagie, always fresh meat, soft rolls, friendly family oriented deli!! Been going to Major's since I was 12 yrs old, my 19 yr old son is also a regular lol! Love this place!!

Always fresh and quick. this was my review 3 yrs ago.A lot has happened since Covid-19. The older staff is gone and the younger staff could not care less. I'm tired of missing ingredients, calling ahead only to have to wait 15 more minutes after I've arrived, the quality of the sandwiches after the price increases. This is 2021 and all I want is to get what I pay for.

Never a long wait but always best to call and order ahead. I come from Lansdale Montgomery County and now I don't want a hoagie from anywhere else. EXCELLENT. My girlfriend recommended this great spot. Thanks Sis....

My food none the less tasted yummy. But the two asian women in the back were very rude and rushing. I understand that’s major is busy, but everyone knows that; especially those two. My phone was order 20 minutes prior by phone. When I arrived I was ignore when I said pick up for Erin. Get better back there guys, y’all know the parking around there not the best.

Sandwiches are good but just like most people that makes a lot of money for years I think they Are getting too comfortable. Not trying to do anything about controlling the flies. Yesterday wasn't the first time I seen a roach. The ladies refuse to wear hair nets and although the ladies use gloves to make the sandwiches the older man use nothing on his hands to separate the rolls. I'm sure they are very capable of remodelling at least the kitchen area to give their customers the satisfaction of eating for a clean kitchen.

Haven’t been to majors in a while. So they’ve redone the place and increased the prices. But they still only take cash and EBT. What was the point of the upgrade if they aren’t willing to modernize.

The are hoagies are delicious but the wait is ridiculous. The ratings is solely based on the hoagies the attitudes of the women who make the sucks. I DON'T get why people think that it's okay to serve the public with a bad attitude!!!!

You can't beat a freshly made large hoagie for $3.75. The service is very...direct. But just know what you want when you get to the front of the line and be polite and they will be polite back.

Lemme start off by saying I'm not a hoagie guy. I far prefer hot food.Yet, if I want a hoagie, I know where to go. Because Major's is probably the freshest, cheapest, and best hoagie you can find. It's gotten to the point where I, a hoagie-hater, will actually crave one of their hoagies. That's saying something. And yes it's small. And yes, there is a line for a hoagie at 2:30PM on a random Monday (call ahead!) And yes, the staff can range from mildly disinterested to seeming like they want to curse you out. Be nice, normally you will get what you want. But everything is fresh. The lettuce? Crispy and fresh. The meat? It's sliced in front of you and tastes as good as cold cuts can. The tomato's? They are basically shining. Guys, I've worked in high end, well known restaurants where the lettuce was taught in and semi-wilting on their $20 sandwiches. You really can't beat it. A (basic) turkey hoagie with whatever you want is $3.75 (occassionally they will sharpie on $4.25 and then that's the price, bit still) and very little is more expensive then that. Honestly, it would be hard to find the equal ingredients in the grocery store (high quality roll, high quality meat, fresh lettuce/onion/tomato/peppers, etc) for less then $4. And their large hoagies are huge and packed with meat.

Seriously overrated. The sandwiches are just ok. The people who work in the back making sandwiches are rude, unwelcoming and act as if they hate what they do. You don't have to even be friendly, just be respectful to those who support your business. Instead, they have a kiss my @ss attitude. I wish I could give 0 stars. I stopped supporting them YEARS ago, but I went today because the person that I care for requested a sandwich from there. I'll be sure to let her know and spread the word about this place.
