Moved from 60th market to 56th street plaza still selling old products from 60th street store bought a hair relaxer didn’t take in my hair all the way and they keep increasing prices over time very rude you have to buy a bag even if you spend over $100 you have to take off your hoodie if you enter store or will be asked to leave never stole from store been living in the area 5 plus years and they constantly change rules

The store is amazing anything you want hair related is there!!!! The only negative it The cashiers talk to much to eachother I had to wait till they were done lol... but I still left happy cause I got all my stuff in one spot...

Every time I get my hair done I come to this place because 1. Its local 2. I love this hair store and 3. Their hair is soo good I just wish they had more hair colors provided but other than that this store is 5 stars. I always come in here looking a hot mess but they never judge

Whoever the short, dark skinned, slim built ARMED Security Guard is that works in the store on Saturday afternoons ain't gone be satisfied until he's either beat TF up or WORSE. Walked in the store yesterday (Saturday, September 16th 2023 approximately 4:30 PM) holding a cup of ginger ale as well as a canned Arizona green tea. He didn't say anything to me when I walked into the store, he chose wait until I was ready to walk down one of the aisles to tell me to put my drink down and that they were not allowed in the store. I put my drinks down for him, but that wasn't good enough. He caught an attitude at WHERE I put the drink down, told me he gave me a specific instruction as to where exactly I was to put it and that I should "learn to follow directions". I told him to relax, it was NEVER that deep but also to watch his tone because not only am I not a child I'm not one of his kids. He proceeded to go back and forth with me, telling me "you're still talking?" and "I'll throw both your drinks in the trash". Mind you, I'm a Woman 😊. After I check out, HE FOLLOWED ME OUTSIDE OF THE STORE, approached me while flashing his piece on his hip and says "so what was all that you were saying inside the store?". We continue to go back and forth, he tells me "that mouth of yours is going to get you in trouble one day" , "you're lucky I'm at work" and "go get one of your brothers or Male relatives for me, I'm off at 7 PM. Have a nice day."

I Wish I could give 0 stars. I purchased items at this location numerous times. Today when I went inside to purchase a few items, the attitudes of the owners or whoever the people are who were working throughout the isles wasn't friendly at all. I was serviced but in a way I could feel I wasn't welcomed then, I was being watched while I was shopping. I work hard everyday on my LEGAL JOB SO THEREFORE I DON'T HAVE TO SWIPE ANYTHING WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT. EVEN IF I WASN'T EMPLOYED I STILL WOULDN'T DESIRE TO SWIPE ANYTHING WITHOUT PURCHASING. If this review caused boiling skin and anger for some folk or caused uncomfortable feelingsor any other negative emotions, that's your problem. I wrote this review because I have the right to do so. Never once have I caused a disturbing scene in any way. I wish the business much success but I will never return again. SMH

I usually go to them for hair but for some reason they had a problem with me feeling how the hair was. They started yelling at me telling me not to touch they hair. I wasn’t disrespectful I just apologized and left. I’ve also witnessed them be rude customers before. All I do know is they will never get a dime from me ever again!

I am a complete novice when it comes to purchasing hair for styles. Finally after 45 minutes of trying to decide which type of hair I wanted, I selected crocheted hair that I thought would work. I showed the purchase and style to one of the employees, AJ, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Essentially she told me the style I wanted wouldn’t be possible with the hair I selected. She then tried to look for the particular package of hair that would work, and when she couldn’t find it (must have been out of stock), she googled the exact brand and directed me to another store to find it (even gave me the number of the store). She went above and beyond, and I’m so happy I asked her for help. I didn’t purchase from the store this time, but will definitely be back because that was top notch service. Thank you, AJ!

I love this hair store. It has a lot of products for hair and non hair products. I got shoe polish from here. 😆 I would say they have two long aisles of non hair products. They have a nice variety of things.

What an amazing selection of EVERYTHING and the prices are competitive also!!! I haven’t needed to return anything so I can’t offer a rating in that! However, I did stand in the wrong place waiting to cash out, just to learn that there was a long line assembled (not noticeable to a new shopper). The cashier, took the next customer and told me to wait and took me immediately following. I appreciated her thoughtfulness, and would definitely shop here again. It’s not my closest Beauty supply, but it carries everything I could imagine needing!

The store has a lot of hair care products make up, hair accessories, etc. If you are looking for braiding hair lots of choices. But, if you are looking for a wig and the like. That area of the store is very crowded with stock. You can barely see what is there. There so much not enough space. But, not much to choose from. Not everyone wants long hair. One word claustrophobic.

This store has everything you want and need. Their hair is high quality too. I got crochet twists there and it still looks brand new right now and the workers are never not there when you need an opinion on a product. It even has things that are not related to hair like soap, bathroom products, and stuff like little over the counter medicine.

My go to beauty supply store! The store has a very large selection of natural hair products including my favorites shea moisture and Jamaican black seed oil. The braiding hair and crochet hair selection is awesome - so many different brands, colors and textures. The edge control selection is very complete as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Also a great place for balloons, light party goodies and greeting cards.

Hair Town tends to have everything that I need. Hours are reasonable, staff tends to be friendly and inviting, store clean and fresh looking, can be crowded at times, but lines move quick. Parking is always an option since it's located in the shopping center. Definitely an upgrade from the original hair store prior to Hair Town.

Very rude! A man stands at the door at 6:45om when it clearly stated they close at 7pm. They follow you around the store and stare in your face as you walk through the aisles. I even heard one guy ask a lady when she was going to pay. These ppl treat ppl in this community this way because no consequences are being held to them. I would t send anyone to this store

I love hair Town on vine street in west philly. They have everything and I mean everything!! You can't go wrong when stopping in that hair store. I'm natural and I wear weaves that's a one stop shop. It's big its been clean its bright inside, it makes u wanna spend your coins lol

The store is well stocked and clean but the customer service is NOT! They have enough hair to fill up a football field but didn’t bother to invest in quality staff.I needed help with a product but apparently they hired people with no hair experience or knowledge.I asked 1 woman who worked there a question and she couldn’t answer it. She asked another woman that worked there and she knew less than the 1st woman. 🙁To make matters worst. The 2 women engaged in a conversation about the product that I asked about and forgot all about me ..... I just walked away. If things couldn’t get any worst... they begin to talk about me and laugh. I could hear them 2 isles over. They had my question about the product completely WRONG so technically they were laughing at themselves.I was impressed at 1st when I walked in but greatly disgusted by the ignorance and unprofessionalism of the staff.I will NOT return to this location if it was the only hair store in Philadelphia. Thank you but NO Thanks!

This hair oasis in the hood has extended hours and EVERYTHING under the sun for beauty. Aisles and aisles of weave, crochet, and braiding hair. Wigs, styling products, styling tools, salon needs, inexpensive jewelry, natural essential oils, makeup, skincare, and nails. I noticed this last time I went, they have household products. The women there are knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. I wish I could upload the video gif of the aisles...

Got to the store at 9:02 am they were suppose to open at 9 sat there until 9:33 am and they still weren't open so they lost my business. The owners were just sitting in their car in front of the store not saying anything to all the people waiting in their cars to get in. So unprofessional and this is my hair store that I normally go to, not anymore.

Oh my goodness! Best hair store in Philly! Got exactly what I wanted. At the last minute. And they are open on Sundays😃. Late too. I think they close at 5:00pm.
