This store use to be a disaster. There was never product on shelves it was still in boxes in isle & staff was horrible. But now They're in process of complete store overhaul, have new management & employees & are on the way to a becoming a really convenient pleasant place to shop.. Will definitely continue to shop here!!

I love the store don't get me wrong.. they are in the midst of a remodel and the store although very messy before, is starting to look great. If you haven't been to this location for awhile they have rearranged the store and added more aisles of food including fresh items. They have added new lighting and it now has a more updated look. The shelves remain somewhat bare but i have confidence that the store will continue to improve as they find more staff and put out the stock they receive. It is much improved compared to last year. I continue to shop here because stores like this are desperately needed in this area. If it was fully stocked and clean it would be a godsend. I have only one small complaint/observation/concern. Yesterday the inside temperature of this store was stifling. I felt bad for the employees. It was over 105 degrees outside and the temp in the store was hot and very humid with no circulation whatsoever. Its very uncomfortable to shop when its 95 or higher in the store. If you have asthma I wouldn't recommend this store until they service their Air Conditioning system. I was only able to browse the store for a short time before the heat in the store made it a very negative experience. I would be happy to change my review if this is fixed in the near future. I just wanted to share in hopes that this issue would be addressed. This store is on its way to becoming a great store. New management is taking it in the right direction.

They have no baskets or carts half the time,then you bring your own bags to carry things to cashier the they yell someone is stealing instead of trying to help you ,they need more training

This location has a lot of nice , quality things for the home. I like shopping here because the staff is super friendly. You have some customers who shop lift which is unfortunate, and staff tries to follow "certain customers"around the store, which leaves the cash register short a cashier a lot. This also makes good customers uncomfortable and singled out! Nevertheless, it's an okay location.

I love my local Dollar General they have everything you need and then some... Perfect for picking up odds and ends of all kinds or a full shopping trip for whatever you need From thread to dog food to hair care, things for the house or for cleaning it, to groceries and snacks for the kids. The prices are very reasonable. What more could you ask for!! 😊

This is a Good store and the prices are reasonable but they stay crowded with only one cashier. I can deal with the crowd but it's very rare that they have two cashiers. Also I don't know if it's the people who come in the store or if it's the store associates who don't care how the store looks but the store is for the most part always messy. Very rare that any of them are clean. No that's not true I should say the ones in Philadelphia because the ones in New Jersey are clean and well stocked.

I used to love this store until the night time security guard said I wasn't allowed in there with my son & accused me of being the one that shop lifted checked all my bags, didn't catch anything on camera, & chased my son & I for something that I had already bought. A stranger even asked to pay for it & until he starts treating customers like there not all the same then I'll never feel comfortable enough to take my son there again.

This place was so so before. Now its a complete disaster. They close whenever they feel like it. Everything is always in boxes, blocking the isles, instead of being on the shelves. Its an accident waiting to happen

I was really upset with the way the cashier treated me today! She was upset with my purchase and told me I couldn't get a void for a dollar until I insisted. She was angry that my items were extremely cheap but all she had to do was scan them and not scream "I need a void for a dollar!" The manager is a nice guy and plays good music hence the 2nd star...that lady was ridiculously rude!

Sadly to say but this is the worst store. Some employers are rude to customers. The so call managers are bad you really don't know who the real manager is.

The Manager was rude to me. There was a sign saying clearance. and I showed it to her. And she was very mean to me I'm a Senior I didn't need to berated in the way she talked to me. I left the store and will not shop there. The Store was Dirty, and Very Messy

The workers are sweet as pie and always there to help. The store however needs to be stocked they're aways waiting on shipment trucks. It's not the workers fault. Other than that we love it there.

I shop here 7-8 times a week, out of convienience. The bill is NEVER less than $30.00. the people are awesome that work there, with the huge exception of the woman in her 50's with the dark hair and glasses!! She must know someone because she is ignorant and rude and it doesn't seem to matter if you tell someone, she is still there, still wearing the same rudeness!She assumed because I had a lot of children with me that I was paying with food stamps and she made it a point to ask out loud in front of a crowded store, I wasn't, I don't even receive food stamps. but I was embarrassed just the same at her judgement of me. (I am a retired police officer who just got custody of my 4 grandchildren). On another occasion my grandson (2 years old) was upset that he couldn't have a toy. After I left she talked about me to the people who were in line behind me. She said HER children would never act like that, she should control him.... What she didn't know is she was talking to my daughter! Today I had diapers and baby food up on the counter, she said I'll be right there (she wasn't at the register yet), I reached to get a soda and she took the people behind me in line first! I guess it's time to change my shopping store, seems like she's only getting more hours and seeing her in there is starting to get to me. Not worth the aggravation!

Need to put more cashiers when necessary and little less chit chatting when busy,, and they could be a little bit more polite,, I know working with the public is not easy but keep a stiff upper lip. Love the store!!!!

The cashier told me that he doesn't need the job or the arrovation because I said to him why are you huffing & puffing like your arrovated & that was his comment to me & I said to him he should be happy he has customers like myself as he wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for people like myself. Some of the iggnorate customers & him started to laugh as I'm thinking alot of lowlifes shop here that don't have a life& they just make kids to stay on welfare. They all don't have class...

Ever since the old store manager left, the whole experience has changed drastically. Employees are rude, never stocked, store always looks in a shambles and never ever open according to the store hours. I would never recommend this store now

Carry so many ,and varied,things for a,dolkar, or sometimes,$2.00. Even at that its,still so much more economical. Id,be carwful with detergents and cleaning products, pet foods,and make up, if made in China. So many toxic substances,being found.

Cheap stuff but they have a kinda annoying no bag policy. You have to leave you bag with the cashiers. Its not that big a deal unless you carry a back pack all the time like me.

The Dollar General at Frankford and Welsh is seriously ghetto the employees are ignorant they don't want to help you they argue about who's supposed to be on the register when the lines get long and they need some other person on the register they start screaming their name and they don't even come if there's some type of mistake at the transaction you can forget about them helping you and getting it fixed even if it's their fault had to go to another store to do a refund
