Update: Received a call back from Dan after my review. He was helpful and apologetic for the situation and even made arrangements for us. Note, The groomers have been nothing but great with our dog, never had a problem and always communicate. Bad days happen, it costs nothing to be nice, hope the receptionist uses this as a learning experience.Original Post:Really wanted to give 1 Star, but I have been a customer for the past 3 years with no issues. This time, groomer didn’t show up to the appointment until 25 minutes later (which is fine, things happen) however when I called for an update after waiting for 20 minutes, the receptionist in the front desk was extremely rude on the phone. Rule number one in customer service is to empathize and at least be apologetic since the appointment time was not honored. Hesitant to return to the store for any services due to the poor customer service in all aspects. Overall, please train your staff on customer service, not sure if I’ll keep using this establishment.

Best place for a nail grind! Our mini-dachshund HATES getting his nails touched but they did an AMAZING job! His nails are the perfect length and they really know how to keep your pets calm!

This place butchered my neighbor's pomeranian and accused her of not maintaining her dog!! This dog is brushed, bathed, and more maintained than most children!! They state the dog was matted, and that is the reason for their actions!!! THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! This business then went on to accuse my neighbor/friend of trying to get a free service....ALSO NOT TRUE!!!! It is not about the money, NO ONE CARES about the money!!!!!! TAKE OWNERSHIP for your faults! You butchered a dog beyond repair!!! I will make sure NO ONE I KNOW patrons your business!!!!#JUSTICE4PIXIE

Hi from Camp Alyssa where I can't ruin anything but only speak what I know.as a fellow customer service rep and also the person who regularly walks,plays, and occasionally brushes Pixie, I was kinda shocked by her appearance and your response.let's start with it being weird that someone who's used your services several times in the past w no issue is somehow now just a scammer trying to get a free groom....I mean, not for nothing, if I left a salon looking like that, I might not want to pay for the services either.then let's move onto your stance of it being what was right for the dog. The funny thing with that is her photo from the day before shows none of this so called matting, if it was hidden under layers you actually cut, wouldn't she be shaved? if it was so bad you had to trim that far, you wouldn't document or take photos? Alert the customer? how bout even tell the customer at pick up since she don't bring the dog there for matting, she brought her for a basic trim. and trim you did.it's also super interesting that she was asked to tip before even seeing her dog and even interesting that her dog had been so severely matted that she had to receive that cut but that was not communicated to the owner. in fact, nothing was said about her fur being matted at time of pick up, it wasn't mentioned until she reached out distraught about her dogs cut being far too short and not what she asked for.I don't need to damage your reputation but I do need to be honest about the situation and how poorly you have handled it coming onto a public platform and accusing people of lying and scamming rather than being compassionate or taking ownership of your groomers mistakes.everybody makes mistakes, it's how we deal with them that matters. how you're dealing. with his matters and people should see that so they know just what they're getting, unlike Alyssa.I may not be an expert on grooming but I know that dogs face was some of the silkiest fur I've ever had the pleasure of getting my hands on and was always receiving compliments. I also know a thing or two about customer service and what you gave her was awful. putting someone on a no groom list and calling them a scammer is pretty low considering she clearly wasn't going to use you guys again after how poorly you handled this situation.They both deserved better than this and I find your response wildly unprofessional and more telling of your character, not Alyssa's.so if you read this far, make your own decision. But def make yourself fully aware of your dogs state before they go in cause they will get real trim happy and then accuse you of not taking care of your dog properly.#Justice4Pixie

We took our 1.5 year old Bernedoodle here for training because of trauma reactivity, jumping, and leash biting. With Dylan’s guidance and expertise in only 3 sessions we already have a different dog, and more importantly, consistent humans! We’re very happy with the results, especially in such a short amount of time! We highly recommend Dylan for training.

BEWARE - horrible experience I took my dog for a bath and sanitary trim and they cut all the hair off her face!? It’s like a sick joke, why would they do that to my precious Pomeranian. I need a refund ASAP! Still waiting on the call that was promised to me from the owner HOWARD

Eve and Brandon are amazing. I had an emergency, I accidentally cut my dog’s nail to the quick. There was a lot of blood and I was freaking out - called this location they were so helpful. They stayed open beyond their closing time waiting for me and my dog to arrive. They helped me put the clotting powder on her paw. My dog is fine and Eve and Brandon are rockstars. Next time I’ll make an appointment with the groomer.

Great neighborhood pet store! I forgot an item today on the counter and it didn't make it I to my backpack. Juliana went out of her way to call from our customer points number(another perk) and we were able to retrieve the snacks I left. What great service!!! They have all your pet needs, and the whimzees are 3 dollars cheaper a bag than 🎯! (🐅❤)

impatient workers……..we were browsing the store, just about to purchase a couple more items, but as soon as the clock turned 8pm we were told it’s past closing and we need to get out…the demeanor of the guy at counter was unfriendly and definitely won’t be returning here. he turned off the lights before we even had a chance to leave the store..lol

I took my puppy here after his vet appointment and they treated him like royalty! They were beyond helpful in showing me different treat and toy options. They even taught me about low value and high value treats. Benny and I will definitely be coming back!

Doggie styles is a great store with tons of amazing goodies. The dog trainer Dylan is the BEST. We couldn't ask for a better trainer to help us work through our dog's various needs! We are looking forward to continuing to work with him.

Really happy to get a Doggie Style in Fishtown! It's always been a pleasure to go into the other locations around the city, but none were convenient for me to use regularly. Now I've been special ordering cat food through the Fishtown location and loving the ease of it and the friendly, helpful staff. Everyone who works there obviously loves pets and are genuinely interested in helping. I prefer going here over ordering my cat food online because everyone is so great and I like supporting this local chain!

This week we got our first puppy! On our first day with her, we had the pleasure/luck of having Emma advise us on what would be suitable for our new little Pomeranian! Emma was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide is to everything we needed for our new little puppy. Thank you for your help and we look forward to going back for more great experiences!P.S. Emma deserves a raise or something, seriously the best experience imaginable!

Freddie (Shih Tzu / Bichon mix) got a full bath and cut and Charlie (lab mix) got the furminator bath treatment. Both dogs are super reactive around other dogs so I requested a first/second appointment of the day and they were able to accommodate that! They called me as soon as each one was close to being done so I could come pick them up before the next appointment arrived. Great service made it way easier for both dogs, and me. I got honest feedback on the dogs' behavior during the appointments so I could work on the sensitive areas at home! Much better than having them tell me they were "perfect" (I know my two... they are not). Really great service all around, in a really nice environment. Took a lot of self control not to leave with matching Hawaiian shirts.

Great selection of dry food and treats for dogs. I’ve always been able to find what I’m looking for, like last week when I was looking for probiotics for my dog who is on antibiotics! The super friendly and helpful staff make it a pleasant visit every time.

The folks at this location have always been hospitable and helpful. One of the employees brought out one of the dogs hoping to be adopted and shared her rescue story. They are a great addition to our neighborhood.Product selection and prices are reasonable.

Great selection of dog items from leashes to antlers and the prices are on par with most big box stores except you get one on one attention/advice/help with whatever your needs are for your pups. Just keep on an eye on the low counter of dog cookies on display -- I've had to pay for a fair share of oopsie cookies that our dogs have stealthily stolen!! 🤦🤣

Tell Emma Koda sent you and she'll give your doggo a free cookie. (Ok, they have a jar of free cookie bites at the cash register, but, any friend of Koda's is a friend to Emma!) Great training by Dylan. Expert grooming by Tom. Decent sized store with lots of options.
