The store seems to be one of the busier CVS’. They are frequently out of stock for a lot of items, including at the pharmacy. I continue to come back because of the staff, from the store manager down, they are some of the nicest people.

I periodically go to CVS at 43 and Locust Street, since the CVS closed at 14th and Chestnut. I usually find what I am there for. However, I mainly need CVS for my prescriptions, and I must say efficient. I am allergic to sulfur drugs and if a new prescription is ordered with sulfur they are on the case. They will not release the drug until they consult you and explain all interaction with the drug. I appreciate that. I usually get delivery service, I realize other may also, but I receive my prescription in a flash. I've not had a bad experience with this CVS. For that I thank you

Pharmacist won’t transfer my prescription because she said that the other pharmacy didn’t pick up the phone and told me to call all of my doctors to get new prescriptions.I guess they don’t want any new business.

This store use to be the only cvs I use to go to now it’s the one I will avoid at all cost, all the staff are unprofessional especially the male African American guard that’s always wearing the durag on his head, he is unprofessional and disrespectful and he thinks he’s not supposed to answer any questions or do his job, he needs to be fired in my opinion, I just went here again tonight to use the atm and he was standing in front of it while listening to TikTok videos laughing really loud, when I asked if the atm was working since it has been down for some time he just looked at me , didn’t say anything and moved outta the way, talk about customer service, I’ll definitely be calling cvs corporate and complaining.

Bad service. They lost my package that cost around 700$, but refuse helping me. I suspect someone steal my package.According to UPS tracking number, my package was delivered to this CVS many days ago, but they said they did not receive. Worse thing is they even did not investigate what is going on and kick me out.Theft!!!

everything is kinda dirty, very locked up, and the security employee in a sheisty mean mugging you and ignoring u when u say hows it going in the middle of the night just feels like you’ll just be more comfortable going to 7-11 if you can.

Absolutely horrible pharmacy experience. The number of times they have put refills on hold without ever notifying me is frankly absurd at this point. Today I was told a med they'd already jerked me around on would be filled by 5. When I arrived I was told it had been put on hold for being too soon. I had to go to consult where I was informed there was "a glitch in the system." At NO POINT did I receive a text or call from the pharmacy about this. I have been in acute withdrawal at least 5 times in the last twelve months because of the gross incompetence here. Use any other pharmacy if you can.

As much as I hate to give up on my small, local pharmacy, CVS just handles things so much better.It's worth the switch just for the text messages and reminders. CVS has also been great about getting my COVID boosters and flu shots.As far as I can tell, the only downside to this store is that they sometimes run out of Adderall, but considering that there is a national shortage and that it is essentially on a college campus, I can't say I wouldn't expect this -so how can I complain when my expectations are well known to me?The service here is pretty terrific. The people are friendly and attentive, and I haven't had any problems.Honest opinion: I think some of the grumpy reviews are from grumpy people who maybe got treated badly because they sound like petulant, entitled whiners (personal opinion).

I've been using this CVS for several years without complaint. However recently my prescription was filled erroneously (given 3x50mg pills instead of 100mg+50mg pills for a 150mg/day prescription). This lead to CVS charging me $500 to get a refill that should have been covered by insurance. CVS refused to own up to the mistake or cover any part of the $500 cost. The customer service was rude and unhelpful. I'm really disgusted. Please be careful if you use this CVS.

These franchise joints are intentionally cloned to give you their brand consistently no matter what location you enter. This one is 24 hours, which makes it an erstwhile 7-11 for the neighborhood. This is the part of West Philly that is in the shadow of the University of Pennsylvania and their huge Penn Medicine medical complex. There are big apartment buildings and the old rowhomes with wooden porches. Someone is going to want ice cream or toiletries at 2am.CVS started a stepped up level of outward friendliness years ago, trying to make sure you get some acknowledgement upon entering. This is the only aspect that might differ store to store. This location can get pretty busy, so don't take it personally if you're missed. The person at the front has to also help with the self serve checkout customers and actually do cashier work, so they're kept hopping. The shelves are clearly marked and kept well stocked. The pharmacy is not a 24 hour operation, but is open an hour or two later than many in the chain. No drive thru pharmacy for this location. Space is at a premium.

I went to pick up my prescriptions and was told that the pharmacy was closed until 2 for lunch. I understand that they need a lunch breakfast. How do the whole pharmacy close. I’m on my lunch break trying to get my prescription. The gentleman (one of the pharmacies employee) thought is was funny and suggested that we(another customer and myself) use another pharmacy. How dare he even say that!!!

Overall it's a CVS like any other CVS. However, there are some bad apples in the pharmacy that need some customer service training at a minimum and to be fired at the max. There is a young man there who is very rude. Every time I come in there he has his earpods in and an attitude like he can't be bothered. Today not only did he have his earpods in but also a backwards baseball cap on. I have worked in retail and currently work in healthcare and in neither instance is it ok for staff to be on the phone and dressed out of uniform while on the floor. He called me out of my name, lied and was overall very disrespectful and threatening. Apparently, the pharmacist isn't taken aback by his poor quality of work...but the customers are.

Very clean and well organized. The staff at the pharmacy are very helpful and move things along quickly, because it can get very busy. I had some trouble at the photo center, and had to come back three times to get my prints. They ended up giving me a huge discount for my trouble. I love this CVS and try to frequent it as much as possible. A great neighborhood asset!

I didn't really appreciate being treated as a theif here. A man with no mask, a hat, and a beard followed me around and asked if I came in with bags. I don't understand the logic as there are cameras everywhere including the checkout, why not review the footage later and call the cops on repeat offenders or collect bags at the door? I thought it was law that you can't pursue a theif because it's not stealing until you leave the store...very confused about that behavior and found it rather rude. Other than that, the store is mostly well stocked with good variety. The bags at this location are completely useless as they are small paper bags with no handles, making my long walk back home very stressful. The cashier was nice enough to help me by giving me a clean trash bag but I was taken back by her appearance....a white lady with blonde and purple braids, a bit unprofessional. Overall I would avoid coming here again.

This place is marketed as 24 hr store but I was just told, 12:54 am that it opens 6 am by the guard. When I asked if it was a 24 hr store I was told that it is "sometimes". If you have to walk or travel far I will call before you go to this store after hours make sure you call in before going. People are getting paid to work in this store without actually working seems ridiculous.

Good store. Unfortunate design. Wish it had a separate self check out line during corona. Myself as well as many other customers feel more comfortable at self checkout and always choose that option. At this store everyone is forced onto one line and randomly assigned cashier and self checkout as they open. I have been assigned a cashier every time i go, despite desiring self checkout and would prefer to be guaranteed self checkout by that section having its own line. Separating self checkout line from cashier like also encourages social distancing by spreading out the congregating lines of customers.

Today is June 10th. I arrived at the pharmacy a bit early and waited for my shot. When the woman came to give me my shot, she came out with no greeting. At first, she didn’t even know which patient I was despite my name being on the schedule. She looked unprepared for her job. When she checked my temperature it said 101 and told me that I had a fever even though I had been fine all year. My dad had protested against this and told her that I had been fine I hadn’t had a fever at all. My father asked her to check with a different one and she said it had the same results. My father and I left after and she did not even tell us we could reschedule or maybe come back later. We did not expect this kind of situation from the pharmacy and this is totally unacceptable.

Came today to pick up a package from USPS that was delivered the day before. I asked an employee to look it up for me after the recipient’s name. After trying to introduce the name once in the system, she kept saying that the package wasn’t delivered yet, even though I showed her an email of the delivery email. Another employee and the manager joined the conversation by insisting that the package didn’t arrive and acting disrespectfully by laughing and sighing to my face. After I asked them to check again, they checked superficially just to prove to me the package hadn’t arrived and I was in the wrong. This ridiculous situation goes on for another 5 minutes when one of them looks to the literal side of the register desk and finds the package there. They didnt even apologize just tried to justify that the package ‘wasnt in the usual place’. Rude and unprofessional behaviour on their part.

Slow and rude pharmacist. Had to switch over to a new pharmacy because I could not refill prescriptions in a timely manner and ever time I’d call the pharmacist is rude and short. I know they have a lot of people to deal with but they can do better.

It's always a burden going to this store. I live so close yet I'll walk a lot further to another store so I'm not harassed by the same riff-raff lingering out the door on the way in and out -all day long. The pharmacy is good, there's a few store employees that are helpful, the rest are rude and stare at you like you're an inconvenience. They seem to always run out of ice, milk, and other simple necessities that make a convenience store worth it before the next delivery. A few simple fixes and this would be a much better store I'd be happy to shop at.

It was very uncomfortable to have so many items locked up. The associate comes to assist you but stands there and watch you. So you are unable to read about the item to see if you want to purchase it.

They are always out of my medication. I was specifically told to come back on the morning of the 13th to get my refill, when I arrive they still don't have it. I can't be out of my medication for 5 days and be told they have no idea when they are going to restock and are unable to call another CVS to check if they have it in stock.

It's a better than average CVS store (especially compared to the other one on 40th and walnut) with more helpful staff, broader selection of items, and quick passport photo services. My wife and I often go here if we need to shop for non-produce items. Wait times are typically low, with 4 self-checkout counters and a couple of manned counters. Oh, and it's also open 24 hours!

Every time I visit there are multiple staff members with their masks below their noses. Presently in Philadelphia all people are required to (properly) wear a mask indoors in public places. I guess these dudes did not get the memo. Omicron is raging right now. The staff here is going make customers sick.

Pharmacist on duty at 5:30pm on 7/21/2020 was extremely rude. Working at a doctor's office, we deal with pharmacies constantly throughout the day- usually without issue. This pharmacist was condescending to my administrative assistant (who is brand new) and then I got on the phone and she was giving me information that is contrary to every other pharmacist I've spoken to. Specifically, she was saying she could change a prescription without a new one being sent over- typically we are instructed to send a new prescription that reflects the changes made. I told her that in 10 years I had never had a pharmacist OK that without a new, accurate prescription and she snickered back that she's been working twice as long as me. Irrelevant and unprofessional.
