Before and after pics of my boys. Got a recommendation to this groomer from a friend who has brought his dog here for years. Everything about the experience was easy, top-notch, and for the first time ever, I am excited to bring my dogs back to a groomer. Alex did an amazing job with their grooming and other services. I had been told in advance that he has experience with Scottish Terrier and the "schnauzer cut" and it really shows. Kathy, the owner, was friendly and helpful and even called me during the cut to ask a specific question about their tails to make sure it was done the way I wanted. They will have my business until I either move from Philly, or God forbid their business closes. 5 stars.

We’ve taken our pup here a few times now and have always left happy. They take a bit longer than other groomers we’ve tried (closer to 4-6 hours) but our little guy loves coming here. He gets so excited when we walk in. Prices are reasonable and consistent with other groomers we’ve tried.

Top notch service. They're very friendly and professional. My dog has been booted out of every other groomer I've taken him to because they cant get him to stay still long enough to cut his hair. Alex is the ONLY groomer that cuts his hair without issue. I was referred to him by the vet that i called to have my dog sedated in order to groom him. He recommended Alex as a last resort before sedation. Alex does an amazing job every time. Before and after pics are all the proof you need. Doesn't even look like the same dog. Alex is the only groomer I'll take my dogs to.

I had to get a disabled friends cat groomed. I appreciated the owner Kathy getting me in quickly, but she was not a consistent communicator. I had to make follow up calls. With that said Alex was the groomer. He was very knowledgeable, EXTREMELY PATIENT and caring. The cat was matted. He did an excellent job with a long haired cat that was given to my friend who probably had never been groomed. I gave this organization 5 stars for handling a difficult situation and not giving up on the cat when she was NOT happy about being there.

The regular price of fully grooming and bath was 90 dollars but when I paid they put 127 dollars in credit card machine. They said fully grooming for cat include nails trimming, paw hair trimming, and ear cleaning but they didn’t do that. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CAT!!!! Raise price when pick up your pet!

After seeking an alternative groomer, preferably closer to my home I decided on Bow Wow & Meows. Can I say they were awesome with my guy Dash and gave him a great grooming. Dash is a lil tough guy on the exterior, but all sweetheart inside. After a groomer (I be nice and not name those fools) claim he was cage aggressive, they made it look easily. Hats off to Bow Wow & Meow's patience and professionalism. I'm happy to have them as the go-to for Dash's grooming needs. Bravo👏🏾

As the owner of a dog reactive dog, it’s very stressful to trust anyone with her care (especially in a setting where there’s guaranteed to be other dogs). The people who work here are amazing! They took their time with her and worked with her through her fear. They were even able to get all of her toenails cut which is a feat all on it’s own. Thank you so much for your patience and care shown to my girl!

I've been taking my dog, Charlie, here for 2 years now and absolutely love them. They are the best!! I seriously do not have one complaint! Charlie always comes out looking handsome. The best part is - they never put your dog in a crate like other groomers - they just let your dog hang out, roam around, and play with the other dogs when they're not on the grooming table. The owner, Kathy, will go above and beyond to take care of her clients. I highly recommend Bow Wow & Meow!

This was the second time we took our dog there to be hand stripped. The first time, the appointment took hours longer than expected but otherwise it was fine. This time, we arrived and the shop was FILTHY. The 2 people behind the desk told us the A/C was broken, the owner knew and had done nothing about it. We asked why we weren’t called to let us know so we could reschedule, and got nothing but shrugged shoulders. (It was July and 90 degrees) Just as we were deciding whether or not to reschedule, our groomer showed up, assured us he would get the air working and that our dog would only take 2 hours or so.We decided to keep the appointment and we picked her up a few hours later. A few days later we noticed that she was covered in scabs all over her neck where he had stripped her so hard she bled. WE ARE FURIOUS. I wrote to complain, and was ignored. Not so much as a response.I will NEVER go back and I suggest if you are considering them, for your pet’s sake go elsewhere. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

Super friendly staff. My dog is shy around people and a little skittish. My dog gets matted at times and is overall high maintenance when it comes to grooming. They do a great job with him regardless. He does very well with them and always gets a ton of compliments after a fresh cut.

This might be okay for dogs, but not for cats. I picked up my cats 2 and a half hours later, and they were still wet and not brushed out at all. They were supposed to be “ready”. I brushed out all the loose hair myself. I’m not sure what happened, but they were wet and traumatized. 😿😿

I have been taking my Newfoundland here for four years and they always do such a fantastic job! He leaves bow wow and meow looking like a show dog! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I moved out of philly a year ago and still make the drive to get him groomed here.

The groomer here did a great job. My dog had gone many months without grooming and had a lot of mats, but she left Bow Wow & Meows clean, happy, and looking wonderful. It was my first time coming here, and I am very happy with their work and think the pricing was fair as well as a good value. They fit me in on their schedule quickly and really did a superb job - I’d definitely recommend this place...

I took in my 1 and half year old shih tzu for grooming. This was his 1st professional hair cut and I was very nervous. Daisy took great care of him and I was absolutely thrilled with the results.It took about three hours which was great. Nice place, friendly, professional staff. The only thing I can think of that I don't like is there aren't enough cats or even cat photos on the wall. It's like most places, they seem to cater to dogs, and they're payment machine is set up where you have to give a percentage tip instead of only $2.00. I would have given them a five 🌟 star rating if it weren't for those two things. JKM.

Do not expect a good grooming here. Took 6 hours for my dog to be ready and his cut was very uneven and he wasn’t even trimmed around his face completely and more hair was taken off than what I requested which was to keep it long due to the colder weather. I called twice to inquire about what time my dog would be ready and was told I would receive a call about 20 minutes prior. I never received such call and called on my own to see if he was ready and was told he was ready a half hour prior. I asked the staff why no one called me and just got “ it’s busy.” I understand these places get busy, but this is unacceptable.Most places can groom within a 2-3 hour timeframe not 6! My other dog had food on his face this morning and I figured it’s fine he’s going in for a grooming today anyway. The spot of food is still on his face! So now I question if this place even bathes the pets that come in. I always like to support a small business, but this place is just awful and I hate to say that. Do not bring your pets here.

I took my Persian here to get groomed....they called me 3 hours later to tell me she was ready and that they did the best they could but she was “very feisty” my cat has been groomed many times and no one has ever complained about her behavior. She had two mats, one on her cheek and one under her chin which was the main reason she needed to be groomed. When she was returned to me she still had the two huge mats she came in with, she was unevenly shaved, and she has a huge cut on the back of her leg which is now infected. They should have called me as soon as she was cut but they did not, and I still had to pay $80.00 for this service when they did not cut out her mats and they only shaved some of her. I am so upset.

Made apt for my husky Toby. Got in and an employee with a long black beard was man handling a large hairy dog. The dog was barking and looked uncomfortable. The worst was when he combed the dog with anger and the large white dog howled in pain. Then the cashier said “are you cutting Toby’s hair”? And he looked angry. I said “you don’t look very excited” I’ll cut his hair myself. Do not go here . People are not happy to cut long haired dogs.

Took my dog here for the first time, and couldn’t be happier with the results, professionalism, quality, and the amazing treatment to my high energy pup! He smelled and looked amazing, from his ears down to his nails! Cannot wait to bring him back!! HIGHLY recommend!!

I took Charlie here for the first time after he had a few terrible experiences elsewhere , My pup is a very VERY big hassle when it comes to grooming since then and I was surprised to not receive I call to pick him up because of behavior! . They continued to work on him even after closing hours , and he looked great in the end and was as happy as could be ! As I waited outside (I stayed outside so they could finish him up) one of the girls I believe her name was Alison ? Was on her way out and stopped to tell me not to be discouraged and that Charlie was a sweet pup just a hard groom , Cathy then let me know Charlie was ready and explained to meet how it went and after all the hassle Charlie was and having THREE different people work on him she said "I will not give up on him, he just needs to get used to us" I would recommend this place again and again ! Beyond satisfied ! The amount of patiences they had was outstanding ! And we are forever grateful!

Failure to take responsibility for their error, and the rude and dismissive treatment we received, is the reason for this low rating. K- (owner?) failed to communicate to the groomer what we requested: a wash and blow out for our Pomeranian, who we like to keep natural looking. They had a bad day. We can understand that. When we came to collect our darling dog, and discovered that he had been clipped short, the groomer was non plused but apologized and charged an appropriate discounted rate. Our complaint is with K- (owner?). When they did not call to apologize, we called later to explain how we felt (displeased). She, appropriately offered to comp us for a future wash and blow out. We've called twice now, to receive that offer,and to give them another opportunity to make good and retain a good client, and possible future referrals, and have never gotten a call back, nor an appointment. This behavior is unprofessional, cowardly and mean-spirited. We would have continued with full price grooming if they had treated us respectfully.

We had taken our Bichon Poo there a few years ago on a Saturday. Our dog was there for six hours and the owner told me the most time would be four hours and when I called after six hours, the owner told my husband and I to pick our dog up. When I got there, the owner was chopping the top of our dog's head and did nothing else. Our dog's head was flat and her body full and she did not look good. The owner still charged me and we never went back again. Our neighbors had this same problem. The pictures on their website of Bichon Poos that were groomed were not good cuts. We never went back there again.

My dog got a bath here last week. We went in super impatient because we were anxious to head off on a road-trip with the dog. The dog is pretty nervous around other dogs and I get nervous leaving her with others' for too long. The employees here made my dog comfortable and communicated with us via text messages the whole time they had the dog. Dog came out smelling good and in a great mood. Will definitely be back next time she's smelly.

I dropped my dog off at 12:30 PM. Finally got a call saying she was ready at 6 PM.My dog is certified as a support dog, so she has an ID badge with her picture on it. They asked me what kind of cut I wanted, and I showed them the picture.When I picked her up, I almost didn't recognize her. She was practically shaved, and when she jumped into my car, I suddenly saw blood on the car seat. When they trimmed her nails, they had cut into the quick.Needless to say, we won't be going back there.

Been taking our little senior special needs pug here for a shampoo and nail clipping for as long as we've had him. The staff is so kind and gentle to him. We love that it's so close to our house, and that the doggies hang out, free range, at the reception desk area while they wait to be picked up.

Our go to dog groomer. They're usually very busy, but we often get compliments on our dog's cut! Great value and good service. Would recommend.
