Sometimes they're out of certain regular items I like. Their prices are higher than ShopRite & Walmart, but they do have nice selections of various items. Store tends to be very busy at times. I like the self checkout.

Been coming here for years due to the convenient proximity to home. It's always been disappointing but lately with the remodel, it's taken horrible customer service to a whole new level. They couple the alcohol line with the express line and only have one open at a time, so you are promptly chastised and turned away if you have more than 10 items.Tonight, I'm with my two toddlers to buy a pack of beer and ~20 groceries. Pull into the alcohol/express lane and met with an unwelcome greeting from the clerk who points out that I can't bring my groceries through the line. Keep in mind- no one was even behind me. I ask her to kindly make an exception since no one is behind me and I'm with my two children. She says no and continues to blame the corporate greed of Acme. While I don't think she is wrong, this was in her control and she acted poorly. I buy the beer and go to the self checkout to do my own groceries, where 3 young workers are just standing around.This store is so poorly managed.

I went in about an hour ago and asked for olive loaf sliced thin. And a pound of American cheese. The guy repeated it back to me so I know he heard me. He was laughing while he was working and I wondered why. Because he cut it so thick it’s almost inedible. I don’t understand what the problem was or why I was treated that way. I don’t think I’ll be getting my lunchmeat here anymore. Not only that but the cheese was dirty when I opened it.it had brown streaks across the top of it. Over $20 of lunchmeat in the trash. Thanks Acme.

You: I try to buy Amazon gift card in the customer service desk, and a man help me for that. He ask me how I going to pay, I say cash. And then he ask me a question, he say it so fast and I didn’t hear exactly what he say. I thought it was not an important question, so I just answered yes. He say I can’t buy the gift card anymore because I answered yes. And also he said he will only say the question one time. He said my family and me can’t buy gift cards anymore. That’s racism.

I typically have enjoyed shopping at Acme while living in the suburbs. Unfortunately, the Acme’s in the city just don’t seem to possess the organizational skills or customer service skills that the Acme’s in South Jersey have. The staff, well the majority of the staff, are rude and seem to go out of their way to avoid you.

I had a bad experience with them one time when both me and my wife went to this place to get formula powder for my son. So the person who was in the register was new accidentally rang us the wrong thing and wrong price. So, here comes the "experienced worker" and the manager saying that we cannot refund it and have to understand about the new worker. I think if you guys have trained your workers properly this would have never happened. I rarely give 1 stars or say anything bad about a place but please don't go here.

Very friendly staff including the pharmacist. Lots of self checkout lines which is great when you only have a few items. They also have FedEx drop-off and pickup which I frequently use. We'll stocked shelves and many different choices of items.

Self checkout jams my money, get sent to slower checkouts? I don't care if they helped me out, I'm still dissatisfied! This place is AIDS! And so is Aldi. They're BOTH full-blown Retail AIDS!

I always run in for little things. I don't normally do my regular shopping here because the prices are high. But, this location is clean and organized. Also, the staff is really friendly!

It's my favorite market to go to. It's never ridiculously crowded. I know where my favorite groceries are located. I can always go in, get what I need, pay for it and then walk half a block away to catch the bus home. The location is convenient, the prices are reasonable. It's my go to place to buy my groceries for the week.

This is one of the better chains in the city for general grocery. This store in particular is clean and the staff is friendly. Good selection. It can be slightly higher in price than their competition but the experience is worth it. The store handles the rush extremely well and you never feel overcrowded or overwhelmed. They offer a discount for wearing Eagles gear during football season in honor of their partnership.

If you are looking to buy rotted fruit and vegetables or unripe fruit and vegetables the best place to go is the Johnson street Acme..The last 10 papayas I bought there not one of them were ripe... is it the Acme's fault probably not but they still buy from the same produce vendor that sells them garbage it was basically a waste of money I had to throw them out even the squirrels didn't want it..If you can't get ripe fruits and vegetables that aren't rotted don't buy it stop selling the public garbage

Worst customer service. I was waiting for drop off package, the customer service guy chatting inside the customer service room, close the door and no response. When I asking question, he is so annoyed about my question. I asked if he can scan my QR Code on my phone. He just kicked me out of the customer service, and reject my package. He said he has already give me three chance and won't try scan my parkcage code. Never saw a customer service like him. Worst experience in ACME.

This is the closest Acme to me, and they stay pretty well stocked considering supply chain issues these days. The store made hot food like the fried chicken are a draw, especially on Cheap Chicken Monday when they take an additional dollar off an already reasonable price. Forgive me for thinking the South Philly locations would put a little more meat in their hoagies. If you don't get there before the evening hours, you might be out of luck for the Italian variety. I have no idea if they will make one up on order.They also close their entrance door in the evenings - you must come in through the exit. Theft is a real issue, and the beer and wine is right at the door. They usually post a security person right there. Still, I've witnessed several grab and go attempts just in my weekly travels. The customer service desk is usually a one person operation as it is in most stores, so a Western Union request is going to shut down the efficiency. There is a machine for Lottery scratch offs, but not for any other PA lottery games, so trying to play numbers can be a wait, and like most in person gaming, they prefer you fill out the slips than verbalize your bets.I prefer self check out because, like most stores dealing with labor shortages, there are only a few cashier's and the full carts are going to jam those lines. Remember to bring your own bags!

They are still trying to get products in the store and making sure they have items available for everyone although some customers make that impossible at this store because as soon as they get items there always seems to be someone grabbing all they have (in particular, TV dinners, sports drinks, pet food) that this Acme in particular have trouble getting supplied with. The store is well kept, etc, and even with management doing all they can, corporate maybe should see that this store needs more product than smaller Acme stores. Just my observation and opinion.

This Acme is down the street from where I work, so it's an easy trip. Usually in and out pretty quickly. They also have the main products that I go there for. Nice thing is if they are out of something they have always had my backup choice. Have never left disappointed or empty handed. Workers are respectful and have good customer service skills. Top level supermarket. I go there as often as possible, because they are 5 star worthy.

Always great service and polite, helpful staff. I've only had a problem once or twice but as long as you notify someone, it gets fixed quickly. Good prices and large range of products. Everything from cat and dog treats to newer drinks and healthy foods. I was very happy to find they had 647 bread and some other more obscure brands. My go-to grocery store.

Was employed here, but fired for taking my daughter to her testing site , for taking her PSSA’S , which was on 5/24, 5/25 & 5/26… I notified the manager..verbally. The following week..Called to see if , I could come in on my day off and was told I was fired..

I go to this acme because it's close to my place of work to get lunch or snack in a fan of their habanero chicken and I usually buy a bag I should have to go home and continue to cook it the chicken still be pink on the inside and the skin be chewy... the staff at the deli are very slow as if you're bothering them at their place of work

Terrible service, I filed 2 complaints and no response. I called and went to this acme for the last 4 days and cannot get in touch with anyone to help. The assistant manager Angelo hung the phone up in the middle of me speaking. I been waiting for Craig to call me back for days. These people are rude and no one here to resolve an issue.

Gets worse every time I shop there. I understand that they may be having trouble getting in certain items; however, some of the products are available at the CVS across the street. Based on this, it appears there are some management issues contributing to the shelves not being stocked. In addition, customer service is on a fast decline. The young lady checking me out did not make eye contact or acknowledge my presence. I am disappointed in this ACME. Do yourself a favor and go to ShopRite.

Was fine until I went to check out. The creepy security guard followed me and was making harassing and threatening remarks the entire time I was scanning items, insinuating that I was stealing. Sir it's Saturday and black people buy groceries too! And as soon as my receipt printed and I began to bag my items he walks away. Loss prevention stats say elderly and white women steal the most because stores tell their security teams to only follow the black males. It really is disgusting behavior in this day and age. And just because he is black didn't mean a thing to me. I've seen security footage from other stores you can see very clearly what people do in stores so this is just a simples harassment lawsuit waiting to happen.

Everything starts in the parking lot with getting your shopping cart in your first point of contact the greeter and parking lot manager "Mr Que" is getting the job done with making a positive first impression!Great store wonderful staff very helpful & patient just as for what you want they will take you to it and make sure to assist you. Great food ready to eat well organized and I love their beer and wine selections totally convenient! Looking forward to my next trip. I sure hope the management at this location appreciates "Mr Que" the guy out front creating the atmosphere thank you Sir!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💯

Just got escorted out by security for claiming that I am a known thief. I have never stolen anything in my life. I was in the card isle looking to get a card for my wife. I stop by there a few nights a week for years. I know the employees they know my wife and kid. To be approached by 4 security guards and embarrassingly escorted from the store was the the most aggregatly embarrassing moment of my life.
