Had a wonderful time camping here. Though it was full with many campers, we still found it to be quiet and relaxing. The beach area is really nice and the camp store had everything you could possibly need including really good ice-cream! The kids had fun fishing and I saw lots of kayaks being used as well. Shower house was nothing special but the water was warm and water pressure was good. There was also a down washing station at the shower house which was nice. I definitely recommend this place!Playground: Playground is located close to the swimming area which is nice. There was also a volleyball court near the swimming area and playground.Restrooms: About what you would expect from a campground. The shower house was definitely cleaner than the restrooms near the swimming area.Picnic area: There are several picnic areas scattered throughout the park that this campground is located in.

Really nice. We were there on a rainy October weekend but the kids still fished and rode bikes. It was well kept and facilities were clean and convenient. I can see how during summer It might get super busy.

Our first visit to Crooked Run Campground in Prince Gallitzin State Park- Sept 2023, Cherry Loop non-electric site 381. This is a huge campground! The beginning of the camping loops are more congested, RV and TT sites, then when you get to the Cherry loop you get more trees, and wooded-type areas which are great tent sites. 381 was a big, flat site with plenty of room for a big tent, hammocks and room around the fire pit. On the week nite it was very quiet, only the camp host and one other tenter on our half of the loop. About a 100 step walk on a path to the bath house which has very nice sinks, decent push button showers (long spray with each push), hot water, and nice dish washing sinks outside. There is a 2 mile trail around the whole campground which has 9 super easy geocaches to collect. There is a beach to swim in the lake, and we rented kayaks ($20/hr for singles). Overall we really enjoyed this campground and park, it was well worth the 3 1/2 hr drive and I expect we will return at some point.

I always loved crooked run!! Book ahead because this is a popular spot, especially if you want a site with electricity. They have both with and without, they do have a camp store that will haul firewood to your site if you need any, and they have their own swimming area. And they do have serve food at the camp store, they have a shower/bath house with bathrooms which is nice. Be cautious of traffic usually a lot of children on bikes and such. Your campsite should have a fire put with a rack on it. Rangers do patrol the area often and are quite friendly so any questions they will be eager to answer or help.Playground: Separate play ground down towards the swimming area perfect for kids!!Restrooms: They are in the shower/bath house.Dog-friendliness: Certain areas for dogs and trailsPicnic area: Picnic tables all through out the park

Would have loved to stay here, but since we have 3 dogs (one so old she rarely leaves our camper) they told us we would have to rent a non electric site next to us for another $22/day because we have 3 dogs! No thank you. I think that is ridiculous!

This campground has it all just not all the city crude. The lake uncluttered with development. Awesome swim beach with sand. Playground. Trails all over. We came at first day. We was alone on Monday. So sweet. Bathrooms are plenty. Boat ramp. Ranger cool. Great camping to cover all kinds camping powered and non power. Pets have a special area. Has showers. Be sure to stop just before you get here for wood. I’m sitting on the bench writing this with fire warming my back. I’m bringing my grand kids next time. I don’t want to leave love the evergreens and the quietness.

Nice campground, the only complaint that I have is that our site (site 47) is on a hill and the site is very uneven. I had to use 4" blocks on one side of my camper just to get it close to level. Using the picnic table is at such an angle makes it hard to use. Cooking on my black stone was also difficult because of the hill. I have rocks and wood under everyone trying to get things level. Staff is very friendly.

My opinion, hands down the best place to camp in the area. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Miles of trails, swimming, boats, fishing. Everything in one area. Always a great time here.

Huge state park with 434 sites and several cabins. RV’ERS BE AWARE....I have a 34’ 5th wheel and my site stated 46’ long. You need to read on and see how long the paved pad is for the site!! Mine is 36’ long. While I fit on the site, the backend of my coach is in a dugout cut into a hill. I’ve never been to a state park where there was a discrepancy between site and pad length. ALL sites have a paved parking pad for car or RV. Lots of sites to choose from, most are shaded but not all. Great DCNR Officers that were friendly and helpful. Swimming and boat rentals right in the campground as well!!

This was the worst camp ground i ever went to! My parents drove from florida for us to spend a week camping together and when we checked in no one told us that our camp site was being use to store there heavy equipment or that it was all mud! The camp ground host did come put some hay over the mud but we could not even get a fire to start in the fire pit! Then they did construction all week! they started at 8am daily and were right behind my tent! I have 5 kids and getting woke up on your vacation at 8am daily is not fun! The swimming section of the pond has a concrete bottom! and the bathrooms dont even have lights! we ended up leaving 3 days early! And we will never go back!

We had a great time. Campground was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed hiking, fishing and swimming while we were there. We plan to go back and take the kayaks. However, I wish dogs would be allowed everywhere in state parks. There are lots of nice camping sites but limited electric sites that allow dogs.

Friendly staff with a nice store, nice people. The roads can get really cluttered though. There's always a lot of kids riding bicycles all over the roads. It's hard to drive through there.

Very large campground but so surprisingly quiet on a Friday night! Lots of kids laughing and playing and being loud until sunset...then so quiet. Gorgeous lake. Great swimming, fishing and boating. Bring pool floats! Beautiful hiking trails. Fun trick park for bicycles. Wonderful giant camp store! Firewood for sale with free delivery! Will be back for sure!!

I've camped here with my parents since I was very little my parents had 2 tents one for us to sleep in and one for cooking and storing fooh. Some of my best memories were here. I bought my kids started in tents like my parents and now with the grandkids, but now we have a travel trailer.I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax or ride bikes, canoes, swimming, or just making memories.

We've called here for 16yrs now and so we vet much so enjoy it. Plenty of trails, kayaking, fishing, and more. The price of the campsites aren't too bad either. Only problem I see is they need to convert more of the non-electric sites to electric. Or even put it in more and if ppl don't want to use it, then they pay the lower price and they keep the elective locked. Or if ppl want it, then they pay the higher price and it gets unlocked for their stay. Just a thought.

I have gone here since I was a child, and now I take my children. It's amazing to slip back into the real world for a week. No complaints on maintenance or repairs around grounds. We got to chill with a family of friendly skunks too

I started camping here as very young child, I crew up here during the summer months. Very nice campground and they are improving the different loop with electricity and other hook ups. Very nice camp ground. They only have 1 pet loop so if you are bringing pets this loop fills up quickly highly recommend to reserve online. There is a small bike park at the one end of the campground and trail that goes all the way around the campground. The camp store is only open on the weekends as of right now early May. Not sure what the hours will be in the summer.

Great campground. Showers and bathrooms close by. Fair prices. Sites are good sized. Security makes rounds to keep noise in check which was awesome. Swimming, boating, hiking. Entertainment. And only a short drive to Delgrossos Amusement Park. We will definitely be staying here again.
