Early in April of 2023, I called this CVS re a passport photo. I went to the store, waited ten minutes to be acknowledged even though the store was nearly empty and had the passport photo taken. The background looked a little blue and I called it to the attention of the clerk taking the photo. She said that their computer system checked it and approved the photo. Four weeks later I received a letter from the Dept. of State Passport Agency requesting a replacement photo--the photo sent did not meet the published specifications. I went back to the same CVS to request a corrected photo or a refund. The clerk was reasonably amiable and went to find the store manager. The store manager all but called me a liar saying that their computer system could not possibly be wrong and, refusing to speak to me, said to the clerk "How do we know he even did it here?" I showed her the Dept. of State letter and my credit card receipt after which she argued, citing no actual facts, and finally, walking away in a huff, told the clerk to continue. The new photo was indeed very different from the first photo. THEIR COMPUTER EVALUATION SYSTEM IS NOT NECESSARILY ACCURATE. I would have continued without complaint, even after accruing a month's delay, several hours of my time wasted, and additional certified mail costs, but the store manager was arrogant and rude as well as ill-informed.Be fore-warned.

My first time having a prescription filled here. There was an accident that prevented me from getting to cvs when I wanted to. I got there at 6:58 and they were already closed. The pharmacist yelled through the security gate that it was now 7 and they were closed. The attitude was unreal and she has no business working with the public. Terrible first impression and I would not allow that attitude in my place of employment. They really wanted to get of work at a good time. I see by reading the reviews before mine that this is who they are. Management needs to address these poor attitudes and remove the cancer that works there. Edit: showed up at 6:55 ie 5 minutes to close and they shut the security gate while I was in line at the drive through. This staff is a joke. If your hours say 7:00 pm you should help customers until that point. I didn’t get out of work until 6:45 and I need blood pressure medicine to not have a stroke. The whole staff needs fired and spit on. Worthless group of people that’s going to have people die because they didn’t get the medication they need to survive. Drive to Hershey before these good for nothing scumbags who do not care about the community they serve.

I am not even sure this is where I should be typing. Reviews are not good and I understand why. After transferring from another store which is highly efficient, I have had to do alot of back and forth to get my prescriptions filled. I don't mind that but I do mind being lied to about CVS policies by unknowledgeable pharmacy staff who just don't seem interested in helping me or doing their jobs in general. I was told after transferring from the Lancaster PA store to Palmyra, PA store that old prescriptions that still had refills would have to be filled in Lancaster...when they were used up,I could get new prescriptions sent to Palmyra and then they would start filling them in Palmyra,PA.That is not CVS policy at all.... . IF IT IS IN THEIR SYSTEM, ANY STORE CAN FILL IT REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF REFILL (or lack of refills) This has been going on since last August (5 months) and it is finally working out somewhat. I was told by the pharmacy in Lancaster that any store can fill anything if there are refills on it. It has caused me unnecessary grief and stress because the Palmyra, PA staff just did not want to help me I guess. It is somewhat resolved at this time and we will keep trying to work with the staff in Palmyra, PA. If it is in thè system and has refills, any store can fill it. They are trying to make it harder than itneeds to be to avoid working too hard. This group has fun at the expense of their clients in my opinion. They are nice though...polite always.

Awful pharmacy service. Had a prescription sent over later in the evening, and the pharmacy was closed by the time I was done with my appointment, so I went the next day to pick it up. When I got there, I was told that there were no prescriptions for me, so I had to call the doctor back and on their end, it was showing that the prescription had been confirmed by the pharmacist the previous day. So, the doctor had to get in touch with the pharmacist and sort things out, and then I was told that it would just be a few minutes and my prescription should be ready. Great! So I decide to have lunch in the meantime, and head down to the pharmacy about 30-40 minutes after the phone call with the doctor telling me things had been sorted out. When I get there, the prescription is still not ready, mind you, it was for eye drops. I get told it would take a few hours to fill the order, and I explain how I was told by my doctor that they were told it would only take a few minutes, so the pharmacy worker tells me that they will expedite my order and it should be ready in 10-15 minutes. I go out to my car, and wait about 25 minutes just to be on the safe side, and when I go back in, my prescription is still not ready. I was starting to get annoyed at this point, so I go to walk away just to be called back to the counter and they told me, "Wait, we won't make you wait any longer." and they fill my order. After all of that, the pharmacist gave me attitude and made a snarky comment. Very unprofessional and severe lack of communication. I will be trying a different pharmacy next time I or anyone else in my family needs a prescription.

I love, the CVS on Main Street in Palmyra! Everyone at that store is absolutely wonderful! But the pharmacy personnel has got to be the best! Paul is absolutely wonderful. He goes above and beyond the meaning of customer service. I recently had a problem. With one of my medication‘s my insurance company decided they wanted to change the dosage on it because they didn’t want to pay for the dosage. My doctor gave me so they took one of the pills off for the day and made five pills a day only four. But I had been taking five pills a day for years and it kept me from getting sick so Paul told me exactly what to do to get that fixed and it worked. Then they still didn’t want to approve it and he took care of that also and I didn’t even get a headache, I watch him on the phone constantly getting prescriptions ready for people getting yelled at by people and they don’t realize just what he does for everyone. He is actually wonderful and I for one appreciate him. I appreciate everyone that works in the pharmacy. They all go above and beyond their job descriptions and it is appreciated. That is why I don’t care where I am. I will always go to CVS in Palmyra.

Pharmacists are always helpful but staff at pharmacy are often snippy with a bad attitude when I ask questions or try to resolve a problem.

Pharmacy staff could use an attitude adjustment. They are rude, unfriendly, in a hurry and over don’t care. This was my experience.

I've used CVS for +10 years to fill a monthly prescription. This branch is the worst and seems to be getting worse. Every month they "didn't receive the prescription" from my doctor. After contacting the doctor, I get the exact moment it was transmitted. Then they miraculously find it hidden in their system. Questions? Be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes to talk to someone. But they will call you 2-3 times a week to fill scripts from months ago. Picking up here for the last time today. I won't be back.

Got a call saying my prescriptions were ready for pickup, TWICE. Went to pick them up and got told rather rudely that there was nothing for me to pickup. When I mentioned the calls I got met with “yeah no, we have nothing for you.” I’m tired of this place having dumb excuses as to why they don’t have my prescriptions. “It expired” great, just went to the doctor day prior and got it refilled, how is that expired? And it goes on and on and on. I’ve been off my prescriptions for months now because they keep playing this game.

The absolute worst customer service. Drive-thru is closed as they are “understaffed” with 5 employees working in the pharmacy at once. After standing there for 15 minutes while they figure out where my prescription is I was told by a girl with a cow like nose ring that I need to “appreciate her or take my prescriptions somewhere else” because I had “an attitude.”I gladly took my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Giant in Hershey had them refilled in 20 minutes. There is a reason this place has terrible reviews.

CVS Palmyra's pharmacist, wow! So helpful! He contacted us when he noticed how much more we'd be paying with a new prescription (as compared to the previous prescription) for the same medicine from a different manufacturer and lesser dose. He has answered many questions during multiple help sessions and even offered to participate in a conference call with the insurance company - which did happen. Then my doctor's office contacted him for additional information and he ultimately helped to get this resolved. The prescription went from over $300 to about $120. His advocacy on my behalf was nothing short of incredible - it went well beyond his responsibility. I thank him for all his effort, patience, and success - and I thank CVS for their wonderful choices in recruiting and keeping such employees!

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! They fail to fill important prescriptions on time. They say “we’re 2 weeks behind so just wait for your medicine”. Or how about as a pharmacy you extend your hours and come earlier or leave later so people can have the things they need to survive? On top of that, don’t bother calling the pharmacy’s phone. I’ve called multiple times in the last month alongside a few others in the area to ask about prescriptions and they don’t ever answer. You’ll be on hold 45 minutes and say screw it and just go inside and ask about it just for them to tell you it’s not ready and won’t be. They stand around while the phone says “6 pharmacy calls waiting”, and don’t move a muscle towards helping those guests on the line. I hope they see this review because as of today I will be reporting this pharmacy for failure to treat patients with appropriate medical care as well as neglect to people’s medical needs. The staff speaks volumes with their attitude also. On the plus side… the front store staff is AWESOME and very helpful.

Ashley in the Pharmacy possesses some of the best customer service skills I've experienced since living in PA three years. I went to pick up a script. She told me it was not ready and it would be 15-20 minute wait.I watched her display an incredible sense of urgency to care for me, and ensured my script was delivered within moments! I literally just sat down and read a paragraph from a news article when she called me back to the counter. This type of professionalism is a rare display in many of my experiences in the area. Potential employers should seek out this woman. CVS... you absolutely must make sure you retain her!!Shout out to the Store Manager! He makes me feel like I'm walking into "Cheers" that old TV show. NORM!! Over the top cordial. Thank you!

I'm a very old and "loyal" CVS customer and when I moved into the area, I began using this pharmacy BUT I've found that prescriptions are almost never ready when they say they are and there are so many items that are not stocked well. The store is generally a "mess" with boxes of products just strewn in the aisles. I feel it is very understaffed and mismanaged. I will say that many of the employees are seemingly trying to be courteous and helpful but all in all it is not a place I want to count on to take care of the very important matters with which they are entrusted. I know this is a difficult time but it is still a disappointment.

Don’t go to CVS, especially this one…the staff and manager at this CVS have the worst customer service! Apparently, their corporate training no longer includes how to proper treat customers nor work with a customer to do what is right. Extremely rude, don’t want to help, don’t want to have a conversation to explain anything and act they don’t want your business. The manager is arrogant and shouldn’t even be managing a kid’s Lemonade stand. I now go out of my way to a small pharmacy where they really appreciate my business. Keep up the terrible job CVS

I have had several prescriptions that my doctors have called in. When I get there to pick them up they say they are not ready. Then they look and find them somewhere else on the computer. I now call ahead to make sure they received the prescription, but that doesn’t help either. I just had lithotripsy and the doctor called in pain medication. I called from the parking lot of the hospital to confirm. They said it would be ready in two hours. I arrived at CVS two hours later and they said that the call had just came in. I’m sick of this. I am going to be changing pharmacies. I don’t mind waiting but enough with the lies.

Don’t recommend this specific cvs to anyone. Multiple problems filling my prescription, all of which were deflected to being anyone’s fault but theirs, until I finally just had to have my doctor switch locations for my prescription to avoid interacting with this scum anymore. Upon switching locations I had zero issues. In addition, I tried calling this location a few times over the course of them blaming everyone else for their own ineptitude, and the phone was never picked up. I originally understood that maybe they were too busy to answer the phone, but upon arriving in person, You can immediately see that is not the case. They no longer keep the drive thru open, and even with no one in line, they just ignore the phone as it rings constantly in the background. Horrible location all around for pharmacy.

hands down the worst pharmacy ive ever dealt with. on certain days you can show up at 4pm and the store will be closed. Nobody answers the phone and its all automated so you cant even receive direct assistance with any issue pertaining to your prescriptions that they never fill. Do yourself a favor and go to the rite aid down the street, the weis pharmacy, the redners pharmacy, or any other pharmacy that doesnt say cvs on the building. otherwise youll spend alot of time waiting to NOT receive your prescriptions. Theyre mail in pharmacy is no better...dear CVS, you are terrible at providing customer service

Hands down worst pharmacy chain in America. Good luck receiving anything in a timely and professional manner. Almost would say these idiots were incompetent. Most not be to hard to be a pharmacist at cvs at this rate. My cats would of done a better job. Go across the street to rite aid for a better experience.

If my employer didn't make me use CVS, I would still use Rite Aid or Sam's pharmacy. I have been told there are better CVS locations, I hope there are, because this location is inconsistent, and often ill prepared. They offer a squeaky toy at the front to get the attention off the employee who is to be assisting, but it does no good when they are outside smoking. Choose a different CVS if you are tied to them thru your employer like me.

I understand that businesses being short-staffed is the new "pandemic" (if you will) but these businesses have a moral obligation to update the information online, etc. This Palmyra location seems to no longer offer instore services, and only opens its pharmacy's drive-through sporadically. CVS, please update your website so loyal customers don't waste their time coming here.

Pharmacist & techs very helpful, even go out of their way to help sometimes. Lady up front could tell I was looking for something & asked if I needed help. She went and looked for the product & also told me the couple places I could find it for next time. I appreciated that.

I would highly recommend CVS Pharmacy because they took the time to fill an emergency prescription for me when 3 other pharmacies would not. The attendant was very helpful and pleasant. They went above and beyond

Every prescription I send here takes DAYS to fill. Not to mention, if you call, plan to spend the next hour and a half on hold! They claim to do what you need them to in order for the prescription to be approved by insurance, but never even send the paperwork where it needs to go. Complete waste of time and effort.

Awful place. Tells you meds will be ordered and then don't place the orders. This has happened multiple times in the past and now it just occured AGAIN. Lady on the phone was short, and i had to ask for the Rx to be sent to another CVS, which meant it wasn't ready when i arrived. I hate that my insurance makes me go through them.

So many products on their website that say are “in stock” in the store, or ready for pickup, aren’t at all. It’s misleading and non-reliable, I will not be shopping at this cvs anymore. Not to mention, the staff aren’t the nicest either.

Had been with them since their new store opening, but left due to: pathetic service, phones often not answered or on hold with no answer, scripts never ready when one is told they are ready and poor staff relations with customers. In other words, stay away.
