This vet is wonderful. We have been going there for about a year and a half and they are always efficient, kind, caring, and helpful. We have a dog and a cat and they really like the doctors; we were even able to have them both examined in the same room by the same vet, which really allayed their anxiety. Everyone is so compassionate and caring! My 13 year old Doberman was not eating, had vomited a few times, and seemed sad overall. This seemed to have been brought on all of a sudden. Dr. Roth found stomach x-rays and bloodwork to be normal, so we decided to treat her with medication to fight a stomach bug. Two days later, we noticed that her right anal gland had ruptured and drained blood tinged pus. Instead of her feeling worse, she began to perk up. After another visit, we began to realize her symptoms were most likely the cause of an abscess in her anal gland. Once we began an antibacterial med, she started back on her regular routine, and the wound began to close up almost immediately after it finished draining out the bad stuff a few days later. Because of Dr. Roth's quick actions to start antibiotics, she is still with us today, continuing to enjoy everyday strolls through the yard alongside our cat, turkeys, and chickens. She loves helping me herd them into their coop in the evenings, wagging her tail the entire time. I think this gives her purpose, while she gives me purpose and continuous smiles each and every day! I'd like to thank Dr. Dominic Pulice and the staff at Perkiomen animal hospital.I recently had to decide on trying to save my Mr. Marley (14 yr. doxie/jack) with an operation to remove mast tumors or spare him as the growths were to far advance. It was more than I could bare at this point with other circumstances. They were more than kind, knowledgeable and professional. I personally have seen what goes on behind the doors there thru business and attest to their quality of care. I would recommend them when you need expert care. Thank you, more than words can say. If you want to advocate for your own animal repeatedly and get conflicting opinions from multiple doctors, definitely go here. Every person we saw brushed off symptoms, blood work etc as “not concerning”. My puppy was even “accidentally” given an incorrect vaccine. After going to an alternate vet, we are headed to a specialist to address all the ignored problems including liver issues. This hospital was a nightmare from the second visit to the last.

We recently lost our beloved Newfoundland Boone after a very short and unexpected battle with cancer. Sincere thanks to Dr. Levan and team for the caring and compassionate care that they provided, even coming to our home, allowing him to leave us in a familiar environment, surrounded by family. The professionalism is going downhill here over the years and the vets are not as good as they once were I think they need to be retrained they told me that my cat who is bouncing off the walls and eating regularly and litter boxing regularly I had cancer and that antibiotic's would not help yet she's on a new antibiotic at a new vet and her tumor or so-called I shrunk so much and is Healing!!! and is not hard anymore her appetite has took up she's not bleeding from her ear anymore I gave these vets several chances before taking her somewhere else to diagnose her and treat her properly at first they told me it was an infection and gave me a different antibiotic then they told me she had a heart murmur and the heart murmur test came back that she didn't they don't I don't care about how you feel about about your animal they don't care that she's my baby they only want to scare me cuz my feelings for her and get me to pay more money they prescribed me the wrong antibiotics they did an unnecessary procedure that made her tumor worse or her abscess as it must have introduced more infection this is the same practice that saved her life 6 years ago when she had an anesthetic reaction my advice to you is if you love your pet and you've been going there for years before you proceed with anything expensive or unnecessary get a second opinion it only took one visit and the right antibiotic to get her better not to mention that they wouldn't answer

Absolutely love Liz! My family has had a very traumatic year between loss of family members and our 8 year old lab golden mix with diabetes (who we had to retain to walk). Lately our 4 year old golden doodle passed away, Liz and the staff were there the whole way, making sure that he was taken care of and doing all we could to help him. Though 3 blood transfusions and waiting on lab results unfortunately he didn't make it through. I am someone who suffers with anxiety and depression and their support and optimistic attitude has helped me along the way. I couldn't be more grateful for everyone at Perkiomen animal hospital!

It was great in the case of emergency but I felt a little sad and hurt when they told me I could pick up my doggy the next morning but the next morning I got a phone call a little after 7:00 a.m. saying I needed to say my goodbyes R.i.p Max... They're friendly most of them anyway well knowledge.

I really wanted to like this place because the one vet was great. but I had a terrible experience here with my deceased pet and I cannot bring myself to ever return. I sincerely hope they have improved, but nobody reached out to me to indicate that they understood and rectified the issues I dealt with. also, only one receptionist apologized to me for what happened. it seems they don't truly care what happened to me and my pet, and I am disappointed and heartbroken even months later

Where can I start, my cat had a urinary blockage, and instead of helping me with any type of payment plan or working with me in anyway I had to euthanize my baby who was only a year old, these vets in Pennsylvania are some of the worst don’t be fooled by a sympathetic act by staff and vets because these people care about one thing and one thing only and that’s MONEY my baby didn’t have to die I was in a situation where life threw me many unexpected curveballs and I was down on my luck I contacted multiple vets throughout multiple counties with the same answer…. Sorry we can’t help! It’s absolutely disgusting to me the lack of human compassion by vets in Pennsylvania if you can’t pay just kill them that’s your cheapest route…. The tech that helped us with the doctor smiled and laughed as I was hyperventilating in tears the entire time and as the doctor took my dead cat in the back, I watched the tech with a huge smile on her face, laughing as the doctor walked by it was just an absolute disappointment. I am so completely devastated over the loss of my cat and had I had money my cat would still be here unfortunately life threw me a curveball, and there was no reason in this world that vet shouldn’t care about the animals welfare, and the family that owns these pets. The only thing that they care about is money. this is a place that I will never go to again. Aside from retrieving my babies ashes

It’s a nice vet but expect to wait. It’s clean with plenty of nice staff and docs, and they’re pretty good with my dogs. However, it’s frustrating how long we have to wait every time we go, even for the simplest things. It’s almost 15-20 in the waiting room every time. That’s an eternity for my dogs who’s are not calm pups. It’s not the least costly vet I’ve been to but probably not the most costly either. They have better hours and more staff than most local places, so they may need to charge more. That’s understandable, but can we keep on schedule better please! Just saying, time your visits accordingly.

We have been going to Perkiomen Animal Hospital for 20 years with all of our animals! We have had several cats and 2 dogs go there for care. They are just amazing. From the moment you walk in you will be greeted and treated well. The care all of the vets and techs have for animals is excellent. We have a 30 minute drive there and wouldn’t think to go anywhere else even though it is a distance. We have been there with our animals for boarding, grooming, for regular check up visits, sick and injured visits, vaccinations, and for their compassionate care when we had to have one of our cats put to rest. They have never over tested our animals or charged us needlessly for unnecessary procedures while caring and diagnosing our pets. Their pricing is quite fair. We can’t say enough great things about them and the care they have for the families and pets that go there.

This is not my vet office but was very impressed! Very clean and open, everyone friendly. Beth at front desk was delightful on phone and in person. Tech and Dr were both efficient and personable. We visited bc we found a cat and she was sick. We needed a same day (Saturday) appt and wanted her checked for a chip. Got us in, treated for upper respiratory infection and found owner. We dropped her (Mia) off at her home. Happy ending 😊❤️Thank you all!

I chose Perkiomen Animal Hospital after seeing their practice listed on Fear Free Pets. This organization trains pet professionals to work with animals in a manner that prevents and alleviates fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. As a Fear Free professional dog trainer myself, I was always uncomfortable with the way that my dogs were treated at our previous vet and decided to try out Perkiomen Animal Hospital.The front desk staff were very welcoming and made check-in easy. We were put into a room very quickly and seen by a vet tech who asked questions and took notes regarding concerns about my dogs. The vet (Dr. Emily Pulice) came in very soon after, got down on the floor with my dogs, and took care to examine them with as little stress as possible. The room was stocked full of peanut butter and treats to make the vaccinations a more positive event for the dogs and easier to administer for the humans. Quite frankly, it was the best visit we have ever had.While there are many other vet clinics that are much closer to my home, the quality of care is worth the drive and I am so glad that I chose to try out Perkiomen Animal Hospital. My dogs and I both look forward to our next visit!

Took my new pup here for his first visit and I will never take him anywhere else! They made sure he was comfortable and happy. The vet got on the floor and pet him the whole time. When it was time for shots the tech gave him a treat while the vet administered them and he did not budge not even a whimper. At checkout I had asked for pricing for neutering they said they would email me the breakdown ( I figured it would be a week before I saw it) they had it sent to me before I made it home with the lowest pricing and the highest! By far the most attentive vet ive ever taken a pet to!

The people are nice there but they give you a low and a high price to make your dog well and then charge you $500.00 more than the high price when you go to pay. That's not right. That's bad business. If it's gonna cost more that needs to be brought up to the person and why. I will b going somewhere else from now on. It cost more for my dog to get blood work done then it does for me.

Dr. Balutis is absolutely incredible.Over the course of the past few years our one dog Brody has had numerous health issues, many of which did not have the most optimistic outcomes.Dr. Balutis has always been upfront with us about his status, has always gone above and beyond to care for him, and has always made us feel like she was invested in his well-being. We never felt like we were alone or out of the loop in the process of his treatment.My girlfriend has an extremely unique bond with her boy, and there is no one else we would trust to give him the absolute best care available and have on his team. We cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Balutis, and would recommend her to absolutely anyone.

We have taken Vegas (Black Lab) here for many years and have always felt the passion and compassion from the doctors and staff. This truly is a "Family practice" where everyone wears their heart on their sleeve. We recently laid to rest our 14 yr old black lab and we could feel the emotion from the staff as we grieved during this difficult time.We recommend this practice to everyone who has pets.Thank you to everyone at Perkiomen Animal Hospital for the years of taking the time to hoan your skills and people skills, to communicate and look out for the best interest in our pets lives. My fiancé and I have a 2 year old Pit Lab mix. In March of this year, she tore her cruciate ligament in her left knee. We took her to an emergency hospital near us, then followed up with Perkiomen Animal Hospital, upon recommendation from a friend who takes their animals here. Immediately, the staff was very friendly and understanding to the level of stress we were under. They obtained records, did their own examinations, and ruled it as a tear. They then walked us through our options, as far as surgeries. They were the most reasonably priced for the surgery she needed, and they also accept Care Credit which was a life saver to us. They kept her overnight for the surgery, ensured she was comfortable and happy, and she has healed without any issues. Recently, she tweaked the leg (she is a high energy dog and decided to jump up when she shouldn’t). We were very worried, and Perkiomen got her in for a same-day visit. They x-rayed her, and examined her, and even trimmed her nails all in about 20-30 minutes. (She was fine, surgery held up to her energy and weight!). Perkiomen never makes us feel bad for her energy levels and always does their best to go with a safer, cheaper, and more caring route before assuming the worst. They charge us 3x less than any other place, but cheaper does not mean less quality. The care they give to my dog is genuine, thoughtful, and loving. I will be transferring all of her records to this facility, they are the only vet I will take her to now. We also have an 8 month old cat that I will be transferring to their facility as well.All in all, I would 100% recommend this veterinarian to any of my animal parents out there. I trust them, and they seem to truthfully care and love my dog.

Hello,Last night was the first time for me at Perkiomen Animal Hospital. I have never been to a place like that before. At no point did I feel like a “means to an end for PAH”, an all too common occurrence at other vets and hospitals. The place just exudes love and passion; I also was pleasantly surprised at the prices, which made me feel like you were concerned more with the care of my pet than making a profit.The way you were able to quickly bring us in and show our furry family member the kind of passion and care that you did earned you our business for life. We really appreciate it. Most places I’ve been to in the past seem cold with anxious energy, even from the animals; nothing like that at your hospital. Everyone we crossed paths with seemed like they wanted to be there and genuinely wanted to help.
