I have been a customer at this store since before the store was at its current location. I've brought friends there to take advantage of Donna's knowledge, and I've spent a lot of money supporting a local business.In the past year or so, however, Donna, who while knowledgeable, could also be standoffish, has taken to hiding in her office. She used to come out to help me find super-expensive shoes in my size.The other day, I went in. There was a girl (twentysomething) sitting behind the counter. She did not acknowledge me when I entered. She did not say "if there's anything I can help you with, please let me know." She just stared at her phone. Neato. I looked through the sale shoes, grabbed a bottle of the shampoo I use (which Donna wanted $27.95 for and I now know I can get for $19 on Amazon), and then asked to see some of the new shoes. The new shoes are screamingly expensive, but I wanted to see them anyway. Girl Genius looked like I was asking her to clean the store in the next five minutes. She would get me the shoes and go sit down again. She did not say "Let me know if you'd like to see anything else."Let me get this straight: I am supposed to sell screamingly expensive shoes to MYSELF?Donna came in about halfway through this and instead of asking if I was finding what I needed, she took her dogs and went into her office. If she is knowledgeable (and she is!), you wouldn't know it.After a few rounds of this, I put the shampoo back and left. I will not go back.I worked in retail management for the bulk of my adult life, and apparently the definition of "customer service" has changed. It's a pity. You'd think that in a market where supermarkets now carry organic goods and many things are available online, the owner of such a store would put extra effort into showing us why we should shop there. Instead, I got a lesson in why I should not shop there anymore.

Absolutely love this store and staff . Every time I go the staff is so courteous and helpful . Always have the best selection of shoes . If they don’t have what you need they order for you . I highly recommend you stop and check it out you won’t be disappointed, I’m glad to see there’s family run shops like Peace Frog in Schuylkill county !❤️

I am all about supporting local, small business. But customer service should be given as a small business, especially during the holiday season when many gifts need to be exchanged or returned. I bought my son a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas, paid with Christmas club cash. I messed up and mistakenly got the wrong size. Day after Christmas I tried to exchange for larger size but was told I could not without a receipt. Went home looked high and low for receipt, thought maybe was still in original bag, but it was not. I don't know what happened to it as I have every other gift receipt. At this point I honestly don't know if I even received one. Went back on 27th explaining that I searched but cannot find receipt, but could I just exchange them, was told no again . I asked to speak to owner, when I explained situation I was told I can't go I to a larger store like Target without a receipt and expect to return something. Which BTW you CAN, but I wasn't asking to return them for $, just a bigger size. If that is your store policy, thats absolutely FINE, I completely understand! However, simply SAY that rather than make accusations to an honest customer, as owner then asked how did she know that I didn't put fakes in the box to exchange for a real pair!!?? Which if I was trying to be that shady and dishonest, I could do WITH a receipt! As an authorized dealer of Ugg brand, they should be able to tell the difference from a fake, but she couldn't be bothered to even open the box or examine them. Told me I needed proof that I bought them there. At this point, I was close to tears and said how bout the WORD of a frazzled Mom who screwed up her sons gift and is trying to fix it? Would have been the time to offer to check your records on the day i purchased them to see that yes, someone DID pay cash for pair of Uggs, but couldnt be bothered with that either!I get it, my mistake for misplaced receipt. Expensive lesson learned, for sure! In the future, I WILL be going to the larger store that will in fact let me exchange things without a receipt or explain store policy, not rudely be accused of trying to scam you out of a pair of shoes!I hope this review and the hundreds of negative comments made on FB will make you reexamine your customer service and how you treat EVERY customer who enters your store, not just your friends.Hoping THIS review isn't deleted as my review on store Facebook page was, as was a friend's comment who was defending my honesty, and then I was blocked from their page.

Love this store. The staff and boss are always very helpful. They are very knowledgeable and can always point me in the right direction whenever I’m looking for something.They have a ton of great brands of supplements, and they’re my go-to store for them. Even if they don’t have what I’m looking for, they can usually order it in.I also love their shoes. They have a lot of different brands, and they always have a great selection from UGGs, Dansko, and Sanuk to choose from. I’m especially a fan of their Birkenstock’s- I’ve gotten more than a few pairs over the years.They’ve also been super accommodating and helpful given the certain contemporary circumstances. If I can’t make my way down to the store, they’re always happy to ship my order to me.I love this store, and I’m always happy to visit this store.

I recently called to inquire about a product I was having a difficult time finding only to learn that they carried similar products. After a few minutes I got a return call saying that they would be happy to get the product I needed, which they did rapidly. My credit card company gave us a run around yet there was not a single complaint from the staff. They were pleasant and professional in every way. They have won my loyalty.

The store is a little cramped and its not quite sure what it wants to be. They sell supplements, health food, gluten free food, teas, organic alternatives for food and personal items, organic dog food but they also tell clothing and shoes. Its like an all natural department store but shoved into a tiny shop. It can be a bit pricey and the staff did not see very helpful; my fiancee and I walked around for a while before finding what we came for yet no one asked of they could help. Overall, okay experience.

I was in the store today and the staff just talking among themselves and gave me aNasty look I was looking at there shoes and most of there shoe sizes where 5,6,7,8 I'm a 9, 9 1/2 10 and the staff didn't ask if I needed any help at all when I told them this was my first time I was ever in the store and it probably will be my last this place needs to work on getting there staff to be more friendly and want to help there customers more then talk to there friends/ co-workers. I do like what they carry that you can buy for a better price then Walmart or CVS I have seen supplements I never new you could make at home that I am happy about

Excellent service that has gone above and beyond helping the local community. Peace Frogs alternative medicine is a staple in Schuylkill County's problems with over prescriptive "death meds". In short we as a community are lucky to have this shop readily available to all.
