The people who work here make the trip enjoyable. Always smile even when they are working hard stocking the shelves! Cashiers are great, especially having to deal with rude unkind and uneducated customers! Unbelievable how they are able to keep their composure and move onto the next customer. Very admirable and professional at a time when most would retaliate back using words of course. That’s the time when the good customers step up. I’ve seen this scenario play out and the employees should be acknowledged for being a good example of professionalism. 😲😃Prices are astronomical!

Terrible store , as soon as they became the only store in town they started removing most of the discount and store brands for more expensive boutique brands like no more giant eagle $.99 pizza crust to $8.00 focaccia bread crust mix and unlike every other giant eagle in tri city area, they no longer discount small amount of deli meat and cheese they just charge full price (in case you were maybe just wanting to buy like 2oz of turkey 😆) plus they treat their employees which most of are wonderful, like trash ever since store gas been corporate

I'm not impressed by Oil City as a whole, but a member of the staff welcomed me to the area. I may stop by for groceries on occasion. We are still familiarizing ourselves with the general area.

I don't go there unless I have to because of the prices being too high. And I don't care for the rude people either.UPDATE: I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the difference in the way I was treated there. Prices are high everywhere and if you have to drive very far to save a dime...the gas you have to spend will make you wish you would have just gotten it at Giant Eagle. Lol.Update: I just had limited choices for a quick trip to the grocery store and I decided to stop at Giant Eagle in Oil City. Pleasant experience for sure. Lots of sales and the fruit was amazing.Glad that I tried it again.

This place has a lot of deals and a wide variety to choose from. They have perk programs to help you save on things like gas and groceries. What I like most about this place is the customer service. If for any reason you are not able to carry your groceries to your car, they have a bag boy, that will carry them to your car for you and load them in your vehicle. If you're planning a party, you can call ahead to have a customized cake made. This place also carries a small selection of flowers that can be purchased for your loved one's. That also have a Redbox machine for you to rent movies at a decent rate.

Produce is rotten, the store is gross, employees are rude. Cashiers won't bag your items and expect you to do it, they won't let you use your perks if you have $1 they skip through it and go right to payment

I always shop at Giant Eagle and have no plans of changing that. With that being said, I am disappointed in some of the produce that we get. My daughter loves Macintosh apples, so I buy either 3 or 4 of them, or a prefilled bag. I cut the skin off and cut them up for her, and while cutting into every single apple there are spots and rotten areas all through each one. You wouldn't know it from the outside, they don't feel squishy, but it never fails that each one is covered in spots I have to cut out. This has been going on for awhile, so it's not that it's the season. I don't know if they just get banged around during transport and getting them out for purchase, but when half the apple gets thrown away for being rotten, it gets frustrating.

This store is not very clean it needs to be redone! When you walk in it smells like something is dead and they say it’s the dumpster! I think they should move the dumpster or something to make this store more welcoming!

It has everything you need. Prices are great and the deals they have consistently keep me coming back. Fuel perks or money off of your bill are a plus!! They accrue whenever you shop! That's including the purchase of gift cards! 😉😉😉

Over priced and not enough check out lines. Try going between 4-5 pm. Forget about it. Good bye hour of life in line.Now quality of products is great. Steaks are beautiful good lunch meat and everyone is kind. Just not for those on a budget or in a hurry.

I have been shopping at this store for years and the other day I was told that my three year old could basically pee her pants rather than use their "special employee restroom." I also was talked down to by Michael who is a cashier. He had No customer service skills or knowledge of prices! I definitely won't ever shop at this store again seeing as how corporate even thought this was no big deal.? I have no idea what happened to people respecting other people and actually caring about doing a good job but giant eagle has definitely lost my business!!

Convenient, big & friendly workers. Most Giant Eagle don't carry enough sale items when sale begins or not enough ordered. Also, meat department does not put enough sale items out for customers to get. Other staff members are not permitted to go in meat department to get product once staff has left for the day. I'm very disappointed in this matter but understand why it's like this.

This particular market is a go-to after work because it's on my journey home. I believe G. E. is much more expensive than other stores but we also get perks that sometimes outweigh the cost difference. Not always. This store is much smaller than the average but it's also convenient and most of the workers are generally friendly.

While the convenience of this store in our little town is nice, you pay a pretty penny for that "convenience" too.They do have fresh produce, milk, and all kinds of different things available to make for dinners, lunches, and breakfasts.I guess if you don't mind spending the extra cash to shop close to town its a decent place to shop.Personally, unless I really need something, IE: I forgot an onion for my meatloaf, I just save my money and run out to the big W out in cranberry.Saves a lot of money and they have a way better selection of things to choose from.I hope this helps you out.

Giant Eagle is a great place to shop. I would like to see more registers open and more space in the store between isles but it is fine. The store would greatly benefit from having lower prices as it would bring more consistent customers. I currently drive 30 minutes away to get groceries just for savings.

Went in to get chicken and coleslaw. The lady in the deli totally ignored me. I called out to her repeatedly, she continued to ignore me. As she was walking to the back I called out again ... She still ignored me. I yelled back to the two men just inside the swinging doors - No response from them either. I left without hot chicken nor coleslaw. The cashier i complained to didn't even apologize for the woman's behavior in the deli. Worst Giant Eagle I've ever been to!!

Small store and easy to find groceries. Only a few registers so i have had to wait in line a few times. Stood at the service desk forever last time while clerk was on computer. I only wanted a picture for nephew to color for the halloween coloring contest.
