Ohiopyle State Park is a 4 season favorite! The views are always a joy and the hiking and cycling opportunities are outstanding. For the more hearty outdoor adventurer, white water rafting and kayaking tours are available. The visitor center is very well designed to be informative while allowing visitors with mobility issues to navigate the area with ease. Across the street from the visitor center you'll find plenty of shops for snacks, meals and souvenirs. Enjoy!

A beautiful park with lots to offer. We’ve gone in the spring and summer months to bike and hike. Make sure you check out Cucumber Falls! Cute shops and plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. Go early as parking fills up quickly. The restrooms are well maintained and clean.

So happy to have stumbled on this area while visiting Fallingwater. This is a cute small town that is within Ohiopyle State park. Lots of nice touristy restaurants, ice cream spots, and recreational areas for water sports. There’s a nice bike path through here that connects to many other towns. Want to come back here and explore and camp more.Restrooms: Restrooms at visitors center, depot, and multiple restaurantsDog-friendliness: So many dogs around! Definitely dog friendlyPicnic area: Lots of grass areas and benches in shade

It's a very scenic place to visit. Many improvements have been made over the past few years. More accommodations for pedestrian traffic and bicycles have been added. As well as a new restroom/ changing area.

We went there, for our second time, last weekend and it was absolutely amazing weather. I really enjoy cucumber falls more than anything. But this time we also checked out some of the overlooks. The place is not much for hikes, but you could hike the whole way to every point after parking.Restrooms: Plenty

4th time I have been here in 20 years, since we live 13 hours away. It's beautiful, no matter the season, and non commercialized. Each time is a bit different. We've had ice cream at the water edge with the family and the dog. We've bicycles for hours. We've done the rock waterslides (Be very careful!), and this year, visitor center. We love telling everyone about our visits.Restrooms: Inside welcome center and some small businessesDog-friendliness: OutdoorsPicnic area: Anywhere you want to put a blanket

Beautiful and clean park.Campground was clean with a variety of sites - we stayed in a dog friendly loop (not all sites allow dogs)Restrooms were also well maintained and heated which was great since it was cold - 40F at night so bring warm gear if you're camping in the fall.Easy trail access from the campground or multiple lots around Ohiopyle. Trails were well marked, beautiful views of the falls.Lots of bikes on the Great Allegheny Passage so be mindful to share the trail.Hiking routes will take you to the town with east access to coffee, a market, deli and simple lunch options. There are rental shops for bikes and water activities but we didn't visit anyDog-friendliness: Some of the sites at the campground are dog friendly. Trails are dog friendly.

An awesome place to visit any time of year! There are so many activities in the summer but going in late winter you don’t have the crowds. Plus you get to see the mighty power of the water!

Gorgeous state park! This is our second time here, and have loved it both times. Lots of out door activities from whitewater rafting and a natural water slide, to bike and hiking tea trails, this park has lots to do and plenty of scenic views. It’s well maintained, and pretty popular, so don’t be surprised if there’s a crowd on the weekend. We’ve stayed in the campground both times, and would recommend. It’s spacious with plenty of tree cover, and we don’t feel over crowded with our neighbors. Great for families.

Great state park! The Yurts are amazing! Plenty of room, clean, 4 burner stove, electrical outlets, and a refrigerator at a very low price! There's a bath house near the yurts with hot water, showers, and a roomy two sided sink for doing dishes. The bath houses are not the same. Check out the one closest to the garbage dumpsters and recycling area. That has nicer showers. There are some nice trails around the campground too. You hike into Ohiopyle if you want. They sell fire wood and kindling at the campground.

I loved this place. It was so beautiful and there is so many different things to do. The natural waterfalls are magnificent and so beautiful a must see for anyone visiting. There are plenty of campgrounds as well as picnic areas to eat at while still being able to keep an eye on the little ones since the water isn't too deep. There is also white water rafting which once a year they allow you to go off the falls. A truly unique experience. All in all its a GREAT state park!.

I love me some Ohiopyle State Park. I've only been twice, at this point, but both times were great. Also a nice tip of the water bottle to the visitor center for having clean bathrooms, great staff, and a welcoming environment. You can go to this state park and enjoy the area around the visitor center as a woodsy town visit, or you can go deep into the woods and everything in between. Plus, having water activities available (haven't done any of those yet, here but looks like fun!).If you haven't gone, take the day, go. Wander. Plan to come back.

One of my favorite places to visit, especially in the fall. Just beautiful. Clean, well maintained park, with a great visitor center, that has an interactive exhibit, for the kiddos. And a spectacular, weather protected view, of the falls.

We went in the "off season" in December. We were only able to see the falls, and it was beautiful. We will be back in the spring/ summer to experience all the shops and adventure that it has to offer.

Awesome park. Huge campground with many sites, electric hookups, showers, and dump station. Multiple hiking trails with spectacular views. Whitewater rafting and fishing available. I believe there are horse trails also. We could spend weeks exploring this park. Many attractions nearby too.

Nice park, had issues with trails not being blazed or marked with trail signs and one trail that showed on the map they gave at the campground and on GPS was non-existent which made us hike a couple more miles to find a trail back to the campground. Kentuck campground was great, very happy with our stay there. Amazing clear skies the one night and stars were brilliantly shining. The town of Ohiopyle shuts down before 8 pm so be warned if you're looking for something to do or eat. Quaint little town. There is a train that runs through the night, we enjoyed hearing it but others may not. Plenty of things to do besides hiking...bike riding on the Great Allegheny Passageway and of course, rafting. There are a couple of rentals shops for both. Would definitely return!

We took a day trip to the park and came back again the very next day! It’s absolutely beautiful and great for hiking. I would recommend wearing “walking” water shoes or waterproof hiking shoes because the trails can get slippery and some spots are tricky if you have any mobility issues. There are still great viewing locations without going on the trails. The Ohiopyle Falls are a must see and breathtaking but I also recommend Cucumber Falls that you can walk in and swim around (the water is shallow so it’s really more wadding but worth it).Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly! Leashed, of course, but our GSP loved it.

It's a great place for walks, natural scenery, waterfall, leisure time, hiking, picnic. I spent 3 hrs over here. They have beautiful scenic views. You can just get lost in the flow of water (lol that happened with me). It's so peaceful that you can even try meditation here as well. The town is also cute. They have some shops near by. You can also bring your own food and have a little picnic over here with your friends. They have clean restrooms here. This park is dog friendly as I saw many people walking their dogs. Although I do not see any playground here for kids but as I have a kid and he also enjoyed here so like bring soccer ball or football or water gun for them to play.Restrooms: Yup, they have clean restrooms here.Dog-friendliness: I saw many people walking their dogs here so this is dog-friendly.Picnic area: Yes, this is a very nice place to do picnic with friends or just some alone time with yourself.

This part of the park is downtown ohiopyle, There is a small beach area above the waterfall, there is current flowing, and I would recommend only those who are adults and can handle themselves. It is beautiful with a lot to see, walk down the path from the bridge to the visitor center. The visitor center has a small museum area downstairs. Lots to explore, there are restaurants across the street from the park.

Beautiful falls! Families enjoy the refreshing water in the shallow area of the Youghiogheny River near the falls. Plenty of activities such as kayaking, rafting, cycling and fishing. There are restrooms in the 2 story information center. There are restaurants, bed and breakfast locations also.

We always love Ohiopyle.. the scenery and trails are beautif and great. THE WATERFALLS and updates on local and attraction spots have really made this a great family destination. And our dogs lo e the water, so lots of swimming spots. ENJOY!!Dog-friendliness: There are so many swim areas, trails, sidewalk walking or biking spots that are always great to take the pups. It does get busy on weekends, so if your pups don't do well in crowds, take them during a week day.Picnic area: So many scenic and peaceful areas for families, groups, or solo picnics.. everyone normally are civil since the layout of the area is accommodating. ENJOY!

Great state park! The walk in camping spots were great and secluded. (Beware of raccoons stealing food at night)There is a lot to do around here from rafting, rock climbing, caving, natural water slides, hiking, camping, etc.
