A Pittsburgh institution! I've been to the original Oakmont Bakery a few times before, yet this was my first visit to the newer, larger place. It was very impressive, not small and cozy like some of the little family owned bakeries or local chains, but absolutely worth checking out. While I wouldn't normally visit on a busy weekend day, I was in the area and had to stop. And they absolutely have a system down to handle any size crowd! Simply grab a number and they have a number of employees lined up to help you with any size order.I wanted a drink and a few small bakery items, so after scoping out the offerings I headed to the cafe area to order a drink. The self serve computers made it easy to order any of the wide variety of drinks, I chose a s'mores latte. While waiting for it to be made I headed back up to the counters, grabbed a ticket, and eyed an eclair and small chocolate cream pie. Yes, this is a great place for us chocoholics! After no more than a few moments it was already my turn, and I was able to pick my items up.The exterior and interior are very nice and modern, and the bakery is easily accessible in the middle of Oakmont and near the bridge. Parking is limited in front of the building, but plenty more is available behind it across from the park. The large variety of cakes, bagels, cookies, donuts, and seasonal items ensure there is something for everyone. And the large number of workers up front and in the back ensure they don't run out and you can be served quickly. Thanks!

What an adventure! I was in Pittsburgh and came across the Oakmont Bakery. The parking lot was packed, and only one spot was left open. There were two lots for parking. The bakery delicacies were a ½ of a Street block long. The selection was incredible, and the prices were reasonable. The coffee was delicious, and there were lots to choose from. I highly recommend going. It is a fun adventure.

Life changing experience:). I was starving when I got there and the huge variety of cookies, cakes, cupcakes and other items made my head spin. I ended up choosing small items so I can sample as many flavors as I can. The savory bun was flavorful, the black and white cookie was delicate and delicious, the nut cookie was perfect and the coconut macaroon was on the heavy side yet still great. There are a few tables to sit outside. Notice: the place is BUSY. There is some additional parking down the street.

Great place to buy cookies, pastries, and other bakery products, as well as enjoy a meal in a nice atmosphere. Although I can't say that sweets are the best I ever tried, but the place definitely makes it up with a style. For example, Giant Eagle and Costco have better biscotti, in my opinion.They do a good job managing the crowd, but the system may be confusing if you are not familiar with it, especially if you want both items from the counter and from the prepackaged area.

Having driven by here a few times my family finally stopped.We were in awe of so much... the presentation, professionalism and help from the staff, the ambiance, and how easy it was to desire everything.We are already planning our next trip.The only issue is parking, but it shows how popular this place really is for the community.

We visited this bakery based on friends recommendations, we are from out of state. This bakery definitely lived up to the hype. It’s a huge place that can be overwhelming at first but the service and treats are worth it. They are very efficient at processing orders and their customer service is amazing. We got a little bit of everything for a memorial and everyone raves about the cakes and cookies. The pinwheel and strawberry bliss cakes were really good. I got an almond torte latte before we left and it was so delicious. Next time we are visiting Pittsburgh we will definitely go back.

Great American bakery in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend the sandwiches and baked goods. The variety is impressive from bagels, breads and cakes to cookies and their cafe offerings. I was not prepared for how many wonderful yummy donuts and baked goods that I would have to choose from!!When you walk in you take a ticket if you want baked goods like doughnuts, cakes or cookies, they call your number and you can pick all your goodies and coffee. Then pay for it online. They also have another line for lattes and breakfast sandwiches and they text you when your order is up. The hot pepper bread was $3.50 and it was the best most amazing flavor combination that I have ever tasted. The strawberries and cream donut was sweet, creamy with whipped cream and strawberries. They also have a quick pickup line where you can get cookie trays and brownies and rolls and cakes. They have a large parking lot and indoor and outdoor tables. It was loud and a bit intimidating but was an amazing experience!

Truly wonderful staff and such a large selection! Their almond cakes are naturally gluten free which was nice. They have a price range of $4-$55 for their cakes with small cakes usually costing about $6 and larger layered cakes about $35 each.I was there around 2PM on a Thursday and the parking lot was half empty. This is important information because typically it's near impossible to find parking

Nothing beats the oakmont bakery. It’s a Pittsburgh staple. We purchased our wedding cake from Oakmont and it was divine. We love stopping at the Oakmont Bakery when we are in the area for coffee or lunch. I like their chicken club for lunch. I always grab a loaf of their Razzleberry Bread. It is addicting! Be prepared for a larger crowd at the Oakmont bakery but just know, it is well worth the wait and the staff is super efficient. The line always moves faster than you would expect. Enjoy!

Easily the best bakery I've ever been to. Went near close, yet they still had the most impressive selection of baked items I've seen. Got a maple cinnamon roll and pumpkin mousse--which were godly. Plenty of seating inside and out. All of this for an astonishingly affordable price. Will easily return here again.You can't enter here expecting to only get one item.

Was there on a Sunday, got 1 dozen of thumbprints for a friend birthday. Later when I got home I opened the box to find that I did not get a dozen, was shorten a cookie, now to give this to a friend looks like a ate a cookie and gave her the rest. For 9.50 for a dozen, I am not happy, due to this being given as a gift. They never show you the cookies in the box they just close the lid and move on to your next purchase.

I absolutely love this Bakery. Everything that I have eaten from here has been good, but my favorite things are the snowballs and the coconut longhorns. My mom likes the large ladylocks and the maple cinnamon rolls. My husband likes the maple cinnamon rolls and pepperoni bread. I've had their cakes and they are very good. I like that their icing is not real sweet.

Everything we got there was amazing!!!! The only downside is I don’t live anywhere close to get there more often and try all they have to offer. We were on a road trip and heard about this place and had to stop. Cookies were so good, I personally got the Strawberry Bliss Dolce and it was out of this world good. We will Definitely be back when in the area.

She was friendly, personable and a terrific representative for the Oakmont Bakery. I worked in several hospitality spaces and jobs in the past and I know a star employee when I see one. HUGE selection of pastries!Nice decor, clean facility, and service was excellent. Very professional and polite.Tried the following:- mini cannoli — good- mini eclair — chocolate was good but filling was more of a donut filling than a custard- chocolate macaron — ok- strawberry macaron — very sweet- razzleberry macaron — very goodWill be back to try other items. Definitely try them out I’m sure you’ll have plenty to choose from.
