A wonderful hardware store! I often shop here even thought it's a bit of a drive for me because I find things here I can't find anywhere else. I also love the old-timey, neighborhood feel of this place, and the staff is helpful and kind. I wish I lived closer!

Generally very good service and supplies.Positive- generally friendly staff-helpful troubleshooting with purchases and products- well stocked and thought out inventoryCons- could do a better job of stocking duplicates of common items such as light bulbs. Hard to buy 4 of the same lightbulbs which is very frustrating.- Female employee actively tried to keep my wife from getting a clearly marked sale on an item. When she walked back to check on the sale. She was helped by another employee. The other employee found the sale and cleared it up. The female employee tried to intervene and stop the sale price. This all didn't seem necessary.

Ace Hardware in Oakmont, PA has the most knowledgeable, helpful, and experienced employees a company could have. I walked in for a plumbing piece needed for a repair. The representative looked at the piece and knew exactly what I needed and where it was located. Excellent customer service! 10

Most helpful hardware store experience I’ve had in a decade. Preston assisted me, he solved an obscure LP gas fitting issue on my outdoor fire pit in 5 minutes; something I’d been working through for weeks. If I lived closer I’d be a regular.

Here's an update to the review below: Mid-October I needed two very small faucet washers. Not only did Ace Hardware Oakmont have these: they insistently found them from the wealth of washers in stock and got me all set up! Imagine, of the thousands of possibilities, Ace Oakmont has so much of what we need! They are CRUSHING IT, my fellow Pittsburghers!Amazingly hospitable and friendly - Bill really rocked it for me! He was a font of very helpful information, as well as stories to certify he's been around the block, too! His service was exceptionally good and beyond helpful. Truly a neighborhood treasure, this Ace Hardware Store in Oakmont! How fortunate we are...

This amazing little gem of a store is tucked away neatly, just off of a red brick road, in the quaint and charming railroad town of Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Each time I pass through the doors into this store, I am pleasantly transported to another time and place. The atmosphere is downright relaxing and disarming, no matter the level of day you are having. The lighting, mellow music, friendly employees, pleasant scent of fresh cut wood and gardening materials, and even layout of the building make it hard to leave. The inventory is above moderate and I typically find exactly what I am looking for or something that else that fits the bill for my project. I also can't leave the store without supplements that are scattered throughout, such as pots for plants, garden decor, hardware for grilling, tool and storage upgrades, snacks and soda, and they even carry toys and trading cards. Ace hardware in Oakmont, Pennsylvania is also a project and time saver, due to it's convenient location for all residents in the surrounding towns. No need to trek to big box stores multiple times per project, or day for some of us! One of our favorite aspects of this location is that the employees are there to actually help us with your projects. They make sure that we have exactly what we need and will even provide technical advice most of the time. We personally would like to thank the helpful hardware folks at this Ace Hardware location for never failing to go out of their way for their customers.

Young kid, employee standing out front, never said hi or hello nor acknowledged me. As I walked around the store trying to find what I needed, he again past me and never said a word not asking if I needed assistance. After finding what I needed, and carrying large box around, Denis from up front to the middle of the store where I was and asked if I needed anything, well he was a good distance and well behind me, as I'm carrying what I needed. Unfortunately, he was the cashier I got. Handed me the slip and never said thank you, have a nice day, nothing never said a word. This store is well out of my way and only came here because I had a birthday coupon for $10 off. The lousy service was definitely not worth the $10 off. I have a background in management and this is appalling

We went to the Oakmont store to purchase a Canzo Fire Deep Chat set. We paid, and the store manager loaded my truck. Upon arrival at our house, we noticed they hadn't loaded the 2nd box containing the fire table. On Monday morning, I called the store. The store manager who loaded my truck said that he would order us another table since they had none. I waited 4 days per his instruction and called him back. He claimed it would take 2 weeks to get the fire table in, or I could pick another fire table from his store. My wife and myself had it in our mind that we wanted a match set since this is what we paid for. I called the store on a Friday, 11 days after I initially purchased the set. We got the run around yet again. A different manager stated they hadn't ordered it yet. At this point, I located a whole set at another store and purchased it. While i was there, i asked the store manager to see if a Canzo table was available at the warehouse. She showed me that 11 were available for order. At this point, my wife and I were angry. I had to drive 80 miles, pay tolls and waste my time because it couldn't be handled correctly . I returned to the Oakmont store and returned the chairs to them. This is a ridiculous way to take care of customers. I have yet to hear from anyone at the Oakmont store.

Took my Ego lawnmower here for a warranty repair. I specifically waited until winter to do it - expecting I'd be without my lawnmower for weeks if not more. They fixed it in a day! Super helpful, super nice, and super fast. I couldn't ask for me.

We just moved to the area. Needed an item and ended up sitting in insane traffic to get there a few miles away. While walking up to the door I was informed they were closed for a power outage which was the reason for the horrible traffic. They had me use my phone to order and pay for the item and then brought it right out. Friendly and great customer service.

Courtesy and convenient service good hardware store. In total with purchase the equivalent of two 5 gallon buckets I've Benjamin Moore paint. Anytime we run short we make a quick call the pain is ready when we come in to pick up. The staff is very knowledgeable.

Ordered a tool and battery online to pick up in store. They were one of the few showing they had it in stock. Turns out they didn’t have the battery which was fine. I drove 40min across town only to find a paper sign on their door saying their hours changed and they closed early.Edit: on google it says 8pm but the on their website it does say 7. So that’s my fault for not checking.

Ace is convenient and has good prices, but I'm tired of some of the surly employees at this location. While many are nice and helpful, there are a handful who are so negative and unfriendly. Those select few act bothered by EVERYTHING and generally make shopping there very unpleasant.

Wide variety of items in a smaller shopping environment than the large box stores like Lowe's. Often the best place to find replacement parts for older home plumbing and the like.

This is a great little hardware store located in Oak Lawn. The store is very clean well organized and they have a lot of merchandise. If you are looking for an exact particular item then you're better off to drive over to Lowes. However having said that most items you expect to find in a hardware store you will find here at good prices.

The staff is worthless I asked them to show me where I can find a nut to match a bolt I had for my fence , and I got treated very poorly for not knowing the layout of a store I have never been in before and was just told to just walk down the rows you will find it. Once found the same guy had jokes about me not knowing my way around a hardware store. I told him just not this store and that if I knew I was going to be treated so poorly I would have just gone to Lowe's. Skip this location these employee's are rude and not helpful.
