We are new to the area and decided to use Stanglein as the primary vet for our Maltese. While little inconveniences we were willing to overlook- like waiting every single time to talk to scheduling or front desk, no appointment availability on short notice, and Dr. Dan shrugging off the growing adverse reactions reported for Librela arthritis injection they blindly pushed on us. We took our almost 15 year old dog in for a blood draw to recheck thyroid levels and provided simple instructions to NOT draw blood from his arms or jugular as he flinches and causes significant blood bruising under the skin (hematoma). The vet tech assured us they took the notes and after 10 minutes returned our dog and said he did amazing. We checked his legs when we got home and everything looked good! Two full days later I went to pet my dog’s belly and realized his skin was all gray and red from his neck to his chest. It was a massive hematoma. So that means Stanglein completely ignored our instructions and then did not tell us that they caused a hematoma. We called to let them know what happened and asked to see a vet. No call back. We took him to Valley Central Emergency Vet to follow up on the hematoma caused by Stanglein’s blatant disregard. We have cancelled any future appointments. Very unprofessional and would not trust my pet or anyone’s pet under their “care.”

We have been taking our dog to this vet for the past several years. This past Saturday our dog developed a problem with one of his nails breaking and it became infected. When we called at 945 am as well as texted some pictures of the nail. The reception person said she would get back to us. We did not hear back until 1248pm letting us know they were closed and we should take our dog to an emergency vet. We called around and were able to have the dog treated at another practice. Will not be using Stanglein again very upsetting.

Stanglein really dropped the ball with our dog, who sadly passed away this week. He started experiencing a neurological episode and when we called to schedule an emergency visit, were put on hold for almost 10 minutes! This has been a trend for Stanglein’s reception staff. They never clarify as to whether a call is an emergency and place you on hold for long periods of time. While I understand our prognosis was not great, to have a vet recommend aspirin for our dog was shocking. We were offered no medication for supportive care and left to do our own research. Finally when our boy did finally pass, surprise, we were placed on hold every time we called: to let them know we would be bringing him to be dropped off for cremation and on arrival. Reception offered no condolence or kindness, we were met with chilly disinterest that made us feel like an inconvenience. We were told to wait outside for technicians to come to retrieve the body and waited, yet again. I understand how busy veterinary hospitals can be, but to be constantly put on a back burner and to receive little to no empathy was heartbreaking on top of losing a beloved pet. I implore the staff to take the time to determine if a call is an emergency, and remember why it is you do what you do.

Had a very nice experience here. From being greeted as we came in, until check out. There were calming towels you could take to place over your fur babies or their cages to help them calm down. Oliver just laid on his. Oliver LOVED Jess, who went Above and Beyond to make it a positive experience for him! Many thanks Jess!! Oliver even loved Dr Terry, not sure if that's because he had a pocket full of treats though! Lol Just kidding Dr Terry was awesome! Would highly recommend Stranglein Veterinary!!

This is the best vet I have ever been to. Dr Nate and Dr. Terry really care about the pets that go through their doors, and they care about the pet owners. I've had to make some difficult choices because I had pets with major issues. They guided me through the process, laid out different options, and supported me and my family every step of the way. Unfortunately, I lost the fight twice over the years, and they were there for that too. I live 45 minutes away and will always choose Stangline as my vet.

The Stanglien clinic has been such a wonderful experience with all the animals that we have taken there they’re caring compassionate and go out of their way to make your experience pleasant whether you were there for a regular visit or having to see your animal through their end of life. We would highly recommend you using them for your veterinary services

I will gladly second the reviews referring to lack of professionalism, difficulty with communication, and problems with filling simple prescription requests. There were some glowing reviews, so I went out of my way to go to this vet after having lost my last dog due to improper veterinary care… the first vet we saw was fine, but with the second, I was not a fan of examinations being done away from me with my dog (who can be touch reactive with strangers). Additionally, after an annual, I attempted to fill his heartworm prescription and was told to order online by a woman at the front desk who didn’t seem to want to be bothered with giving me the medication at that time. When ordering online, there was difficulty with getting the prescription request submitted and a lapse in time between his heartworm test/me realizing the script hadn’t been submitted due to a glitch. I then had to have him retested for additional fees and was so displeased with the level of communication/in the middle of relocating out of state, so I requested my records.Fast forward to having to request a simplified version of records for vaccination statuses only, I soon realized he needed more heartworm medication. I submitted the request through Chewy, only to have my request rejected because Stanglein “couldn’t locate my dog in their system.” I sent an email (which received no response) and then called. I was told that because I requested my records and said that I would be moving to another practice, it is up to their discretion whether a prescription would be filled through them. He is not due for a check up yet and is in good health, but this is now 2 times that Stanglein has poorly communicated and chosen to put more value in dollar signs over an animal’s preventative care. The fact that I would have to resubmit and maybe be able to get him the meds he needs without a lapse in time (because they dislike the fact that I relocated and additionally decided that the services they were rendering were insufficient) is ludicrous. There is an overall lack of care and personable service here. I think simply understanding of the fact that people are trying to see to the wellbeing of their beloved pets and want the best for them would go a very long way for the staff here. I am awarding 2 stars, only because the first vet we saw was quite good at her job.

They got my kitten in quickly for multiple issues. I was distraught over his condition and they were very kind even though I felt ridiculous! Cirrus is doing much better and is looking forward to his well visit! Thank you !

If I could give 0 stars I would The fact that the vet got nasty is ridiculous when the medication they gave me for my cat only made him worse. I got a second Opinion from another vet and told me the steroids they had put him on was equal to herion!!!! Don’t bring your animal here it’s seems they have no idea what they are talking about but are more than willing to take your money. The fact that they have no shame when I called back to get information and the vet hung up on me says it all I will be contacting someone to get my money back because they mistreated my animal. I am in utter disgust. I will be sharing how unprofessional they are and how they mistreated my animal I will be printing flyers, posting on all social medias, and telling all friends and family to avoid this vet. Nothing will change my opinion of this vet the impression they’ve made and decisions are horrible.

I gave one star because I had to pick something. I have gone to this Vet for years and most of the time during Covid so I did not get to see what went on behind closed doors. My cat has quite a few health issues and I have stressed issues to this office for years. He has dropped weight significantly and there were further studies done. His Veterinary Dermatologist is the one who noticed cataracts beginning to develop in his eyes a few years ago. I bring him to Stanglein and “no signs of cataracts”. His sugars have been funky during his lab draws and some glucose has been spilling into his urine. Myself, as a nurse is like WHY? So they finally diagnosed him as diabetic years later. I won’t even go into the way they handle diabetic patients there. Fast forward a few months. I find a new Veterinarian. During his first visit (LUCKILY) this Veterinarian actually went over his whole history during the time he’s been under care of Stanglein and this Veterinarian has told me that there were many inconsistencies when it came to documentation in his records and for those that do not know this - ALWAYS carefully review the records and what is being said and how it is said. In Nursing, using improper wording, inaccurate documentation, etc can get you in A LOT of trouble and could possibly result in the loss of a license. Ask for your pets records. We are advocates for our pets. We know our pets and when something is “off”. If a Veterinarian said they did this or that then check the documentation because “if it isn’t documented, then it did not happen”. Anywho, this new Vet sends me my cat’s medical records via a secure link after his appointments. They call the next day after an appointment to see how he is and if I have any questions. I get him seen with same day appointments should it be emergent. They do (mostly) everything right in front of you. They draw blood with you present and have the results not too long after. So, my cat had his annual exam with Stanglein not too long ago along with any lab possible as I always request that and that’s when they finally diagnosed him with diabetes and said everything else during the exam was fine. Well, when he had his new patient exam with this new Veterinarian she was very proactive with everything. It turns out that he as cataracts in both eyes, pupillary response is not within normal limits, plantigrade stance of his hind legs due to UNCONTROLLED Diabetes AND he needs oral surgery as soon as possible because when she did his oral exam in front of me she observed pus coming from his back tooth and he now needs extractions. Switching Veterinarians was a blessing. This Veterinarian focuses on quality of care as opposed to taking on too many patients to where it becomes difficult to provide that quality care that is needed.

First time visiting. Did a great job getting us in with short notice. Very, very busy vet practice. Overall, the service was good, especially with the veterinarian. However, one Tech was quite short with another client at the counter when the client needed clarification and was very abrupt with us initially as well. Once we got in the room, she warmed up but still had a chip on her shoulder. Maybe just a bad day?

Every time I come even if my dog struggles with the appt the staff are so good with my Border Collie. He generally gets anxiety and hates his paws being touched/nails clipped. They are accommodating, and he goes with them pretty easily for a dog who doesn't like people or other dogs he doesn't know. They answer questions, squeeze you in if they can, and we have never had a problem with any of the staff

Our Cecilia is nearly 20 and had her first real health scare since we adopted her 10 yrs ago. She had an episode then but came along fine. Now the kidneys are giving out but the staff at Stangleins treated her like royalty. They called us twice a day and let us know how she was. We went to visit her while she stayed at the clinic and they left us in a room for as long as we wanted. Our girl is very important to us and we are hoping to have her for a long time with their help.

Bad communication, there’s other reasons we don’t take our cat here, be careful. Get all paperwork you need before you leave their office, so they don’t rewrite something you never received- get PetDesk App- information and prescriptions don’t match that they gave us.

My baby Sophia has been coming to this vet since she was 4 months she is 4 years old now and now i have my kitten Milo and they absolutely loved on him... purring the whole time even after his vaccine. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Front staff, techs, and doctors are amazing.
